I never knew there was such a nice hotel next to me here in Gateshead. I would love to come back every year for the summer holidays. I was very surprised how quickly and efficiently I had my laundry taken care of within a couple of hours. I told all the staff this is a 5-star hotel!

For more than a decade, I have worked in management and leadership roles across residential, dementia and learning disability services.
For me, good care is about much more than meeting someone’s needs. It is about getting to know the person, understanding what is important to them and making sure they feel safe, respected and genuinely at home.
As a manager, I like to be visible and approachable, and I enjoy spending time with residents, relatives and colleagues. I believe the best homes are built around strong relationships, open communication and a team that genuinely cares about the people they support.
