The staff have been very understanding in giving me help when I feel I'm not coping well, also time to pull myself together and continue the task in hand. I know I am not as fast as I was normally but I am determined to do what I can.

We are glad you have been given the help and support you need and that you are happy and decided to make this a permanent placement.

My father was in Philip Cussins House from February 2019 until his recent death and my mum chose to go there. They felt happy and secure. The staff are excellent and take real care of the resident's every need. My mum has been well supported since my father's death.

My husband enjoyed his stay at Philip Cussins House, quite happy to go again. Everyone was kind and helpful and the food was excellent.

The staff were wonderful with him (he has dementia), I couldn't fault any of them - they spoilt him!

I find the care given by the staff to be excellent and find them very friendly and helpful.

I might suggest more musical recitals especially classical. Overall, Philip Cussins is a wonderful care home.

I have always found the staff to be very attentive, caring and supportive. My father settled in to Phillip Cussins House easily and gets on well with the staff. The facilities are excellent, as is the standard of cleanliness and maintenance across the house. Dad appreciates the care he receives from all the staff, no request is too much trouble. All in all, a warm, caring home with amazing staff.

The care my mum has received over the last 3 years has been of a high standard. She has complex issues and can be difficult at times but they manage her with respect and dignity.
The home also does a vast array of activities for the clients from games, arts and crafts, celebrating religious days and having singers to entertain them to name but a few. Often they have days out to visit various places.

I have also had a lot of support from the manager and staff when recently applying for Continuous NHS funding, nothing was too much for them.

I could not be more impressed by absolutely everything to do with Philip Cussins House. The food is wonderful, my husband, who is a temporary resident now for about ten weeks, says this all the time. I am saying it too, as I have now had several lunches and snacks myself. The food is also very varied, with a good choice and is very healthy and beautifully presented. All of the staff could not be more caring and helpful, to me as well as to my husband. He has a beautiful spacious room, which is very pleasantly decorated with a nice view from the window.

I was discharged to Philip Cussins House unable to walk until the fracture of my left hip mends. My right knee (without kneecap) is osteoporetic and does not bear any weight. I am 89 years old, many of the staff here including the manager, and senior carers have been here for many years. A tradition of care. The food is varied, imaginative and very good indeed. I have no complaints at all. This is a five star home, for me a 'blessing from heaven'.

Lovely home with fantastic staff - definitely a comfortable, safe place for my elderly mother. She enjoys her days and is happy and well cared for. Big plus for the lovely outdoor garden area, and weekly bus trips to some local place of interest.

A very good care home with excellent caring staff who always go the extra mile to look after the residents. There is a very calm and relaxed atmosphere and visitors are made very welcome.
