Based in Sunderland, they are the first in the Orchard Care Homes group to be entirely made up of their innovative dementia-specialist Reconnect communities.

Archers Court is very clean, bright and comfortable. Our Mum has lived here more than 2 years and we are very happy with the standard of care and attention. The staff are unfailingly pleasant and polite, and they really care about making sure residents are safe and well cared for. There are various
activities on offer, a weekly visit from the hairdresser, trips out and musical entertainment. The managers are always keen to hear feedback and act quickly if there are any concerns so we know any problem would be quickly resolved. Our Mum is very happy here.

My mother has been in Archers Court since 2014, following the death of my father. She was there during the change of ownership and is in need of 24-hour care.
The home has, since Mother was placed in care, looked after mother professionally and with care. Since the new manager came in, the level of
care and organisation has increased.
Since I live in Canada, I need to be confident of mother’s care, I phone weekly and the staff always see mother receives the call and gives me an update. The admin service takes care of mother’s spending money and give me monthly updates and communicate with me very effectively if my mother has a bad turn or would like something.
A care home is only as good as its staff and I can honestly say the staff in Archers Court are great and I have total trust in them to ensure my mother is cared for, under an experienced manager.

Activities have greatly improved since the arrival of the activities coordinator but I still feel more could be done on the days she doesn't work. It is nice to see that more residents are now coming together in the lounge area. The new curtains in the lounge add a more homely touch.

My mam had a fall at home, we knew then she could no longer stay in her home. I contacted Archers Court.
Mam is going on 94 years old and she is blind and needs a lot of help.
Archers Court met with her, we were pleased they could meet well her needs. As weeks have gone on Mam has settled in. We cannot
thank the staff enough for the kindness they show to her.
Nothing is a problem for them. They have a laugh with her. Knowing that she is happy is most important to us, also she feels safe. I have said to the girls I wish we had done it sooner, mam might have felt more confident to join in with the other ladies.

The manager and staff at Orchard Court are all very professional and caring at all times. My Dad is treated with kindness, care and dignity. He is very happy and content, the staff are always happy and smiling, very attentive and are always there when he needs them. I would definitely recommend Archers
Court to anyone who is contemplating a care home for a loved one.

Staff friendly, always on hand to solve any problems. Care home is clean, warm and no smells. Food is good, always snacks available to residents. Mam was always clean and tidy in her appearance. She was encouraged to keep her own independence. Medication was given at the correct time and well documented.
As a family, we were happy with everything at the home.

My brother has only been in this home for a few weeks but from the first walking into the home, we were made very welcome. The entire staff made you really feel at home whenever we visit.
His room is very pleasant and with a lovely view. There are always plenty of drinks, biscuits and music playing
whenever you visit. As a family, we are more relaxed our father is in a really good place.

On entering the home my Mam has received excellent care from the management and staff. All members of the care team are very understanding in the care given and dignity and put all residents first.

This home is still going through a transition period as Orchard Care Homes took it over in August 2015. New furniture and fittings have been put in place but I worry about the long-term staff leaving as higher management charge through with their brand of changes.

My Mam had lived in Archers Court (nursing) for three months and we are delighted with the care that she is receiving. All the staff are extremely hard working and exceptionally caring, nothing is too much trouble. My Mam's quality of life has improved significantly since moving here, and she has even
started to speak again and make eye contact, (she has end-stage vascular dementia).
She has lived in two other nursing homes, nothing compares to this. Our family can now go home after our daily visit, happy in the knowledge that she is in safe hands and very well cared for.
I highly recommend this home for your loved ones.
