I have been able to appreciate the care and support my mum has received in the two months she has been in the care home, especially during such a difficult time for our family recently. I know she is safe - well cared for by the lovely staff there.

I find the home very welcoming. The staff are good, nothing is too much bother for them. Food is very good, my brother looks forward to his meal everyday. He is washed and dressed smartly every day.

Carers very caring but not enough on the floor. 1 carer plus 1 nurse on shift so if they are showering or attending someone, it leaves no one to respond to chair sensors. The lounge is left unattended long enough for residents to strip off or use a cup as a urinal!!! Laundry girl is very good.

Staff have been extremely helpful, caring and accommodating with my mother. They are very passionate about what they do and ensure that residents and family are well cared for. I have been very impressed with the service they have been able to provide at such short notice and very grateful.

I live in Hampshire, I ring Archers Court at least twice weekly. From the support staff to the care staff I am really made to feel welcome. They take the phone so I can speak to my mam. I visit Archers Court monthly, made to feel welcome by all members of staff. They are friendly, kind, everyone takes great care of the residents. My mam is very happy and content in her surroundings. Thank you one and all.

After searching Sunderland for a good care home for my gran we were delighted to get her placed in Archers Court. She's settled in so well, the staff do an amazing job. We have great peace of mind knowing she's looked after so well, thanks for all the support and everything you all do.

Dad became a resident here in July this year. Before he came the manager visited him to assess him. From the beginning, she made him very welcome and helped enormously settling him in. She also makes my other extremely welcome while she visits him. All the staff are very pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. This is our first experience of care homes but always feel very comfortable leaving dad here knowing he is in very good care.

Archers Court is very clean, bright and comfortable. Our Mum has lived here more than 2 years and we are very happy with the standard of care and attention. The staff are unfailingly pleasant and polite, and they really care about making sure residents are safe and well cared for. There are various activities on offer, a weekly visit from the hairdresser, trips out and musical entertainment. The managers are always keen to hear feedback and act quickly if there are any concerns so we know any problem would be quickly resolved. Our Mum is very happy here.

My mother has been in Archers Court since 2014, following the death of my father. She was there during the change of ownership and is in need of 24-hour care.
The home has, since Mother was placed in care, looked after mother professionally and with care. Since the new manager came in, the level of care and organisation has increased.
Since I live in Canada, I need to be confident of mother’s care, I phone weekly and the staff always see mother receives the call and gives me an update. The admin service takes care of mother’s spending money and give me monthly updates and communicate with me very effectively if my mother has a bad turn or would like something.

A care home is only as good as its staff and I can honestly say the staff in Archers Court are great and I have total trust in them to ensure my mother is cared for, under an experienced manager.

Activities have greatly improved since the arrival of the activities coordinator but I still feel more could be done on the days she doesn't work. It is nice to see that more residents are now coming together in the lounge area. The new curtains in the lounge add a more homely touch.

My mam had a fall at home, we knew then she could no longer stay in her home. I contacted Archers Court.
Mam is going on 94 years old and she is blind and needs a lot of help.
Archers Court met with her, we were pleased they could meet well her needs. As weeks have gone on Mam has settled in. We cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness they show to her.
Nothing is a problem for them. They have a laugh with her. Knowing that she is happy is most important to us, also she feels safe. I have said to the girls I wish we had done it sooner, mam might have felt more confident to join in with the other ladies.

Thank you all.

The manager and staff at Orchard Court are all very professional and caring at all times. My Dad is treated with kindness, care and dignity. He is very happy and content, the staff are always happy and smiling, very attentive and are always there when he needs them. I would definitely recommend Archers Court to anyone who is contemplating a care home for a loved one.

Staff friendly, always on hand to solve any problems. Care home is clean, warm and no smells. Food is good, always snacks available to residents. Mam was always clean and tidy in her appearance. She was encouraged to keep her own independence. Medication was given at the correct time and well documented. As a family, we were happy with everything at the home.
