I have been visiting my friend for the last 2 years and have found that the management and staff are very pleasant and helpful at all times. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very well furnished. There are plenty of activities, and the residents are very well fed and happy. I would definitely recommend
Archers Court to anyone.

I cannot put into words the exceptional care my dad received for the 15 months he lived there..from beginning to the very end of my dad's life. My dad went into hospital beginning of October.. and i really didn't think he would get back to archers court to see his final days there. But to the fantastic
manager of archers court, I cannot thank her enough for what she did to get him back home.. thank you so much from my the bottom of my heart. Deputy manager and all caring staff go beyond for you.. nothing is too much trouble.. you are the BEST.. I really hope if I ever have to go into a nursing care home in the future.. I pray I would go into a home like archers court.. xxx

The overall experience at Archers Court is exceptional. My mam is cared for and supported by a fabulous team who treat my mam with respect and ensure my mam's dignity. I have built great relationships with the staff, and as well as looking after my mam, they always have time to catch up and let me know
how my mam has been. The cleanliness standards of the rooms are high and are constantly being straightened up, tidied or deep cleaned. My mam requires stimulation continually and receives this in Archers Court. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Archers Court Nursing home is an excellent home and nothing appears to be too much trouble for the staff. They treat my dad with respect and dignity, even though at times it must be very challenging for the staff. The home has very frequent activities for the residents which are fun and engaging. The
staff are very friendly and very well trained. The food and drink for the residents is excellent.

Very friendly and respectful of all the residents. Plus towards the family of the resident.
They keep their family up to date with the welfare of the resident. Can not find fault with the menu or the care home.

My mother has received outstanding care at Archers Court, all the staff are compassionate, patient and highly skilled in dementia care. They take the time to understand her individual needs and treat her with respect and genuine kindness. I feel reassured knowing she is safe, comfortable and truly valued
here. They provide not only excellent medical support but also a lovely, warm family environment. I'm so grateful for all they do for my mother every day.

In general, my husband seems happy and cared for in a friendly and caring environment. Staff try their best to involve him with the various activities within the home, but this can be difficult as my husband can present with challenging behaviour. I find generally the staff are caring and compassionate
and usually show a warm empathy to my husband, which makes me feel happy that he is in a safe and happy atmosphere.

After a failed placement at another home, followed by a long, unsettled period in hospital, my partner was accepted into Archers Court. She very quickly settled, aided by management and staff. She now joins in the varied daily activities whilst being supported by the caring staff in the home. She appears
to be very happy, and it's a joy to see a smile on her face and hear her laugh when I visit her. Well done to the management and staff of Archers Court.

Homely feel on entering, staff very helpful, can't do enough to assist relatives and residents. Kindness and patience shown to residents, high ratio of staff to residents. Informal feel where residents have access to all areas, have choice of living dining areas. TV always available, never turned off
so residents can enjoy TV programmes of their time which means residents with dementia can relate to an enjoy. No restrictions of meal times, meals are catered to when residents wish to eat. Big emphasis on being able to access outdoors, big plus! Encouraged to continue normal routines like trips to shops, events, pub for coffee and tea.

When my Dad moved to Archers Court, we didn't know what to expect. As a family we were not given a choice which care home my Dad could go to and the whole process took a while to adjust to. However, I can honestly say that Archers Court is a great home for my Dad, the staff are very attentive and kind,
the activities are fun and entertaining and he is well cared for, plus the food is delicious . Thank you to everyone at Archers Court.

It takes a while for botht he person going into a care home and the family to get used to and understand the routine etc. The staff are very helpful and have to deal with difficult circumstances & situations but are always willing to do what they can. Its nice when they get used to you and vice versa
and becomes home for relatives.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.804)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.804) out of 10 for Archers Court Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 33 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.804 for Archers Court Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (322 Excellents x 5) + (65 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 393 Ratings = 4.804
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Archers Court Nursing Home is based on 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6, which has been reached with 33 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
