Mum moved into Park House while she was recovering from a fall and with the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease. It was a tough decision for us to make as a family but it was the right one. We found the staff at Park House to be kind and caring for Mum – and also for us as a family, we are always made to feel
welcome and supported. You give Mum space to be herself but still encourage her to live in the community, joining in the activities. You are a genuine group of people and we have found no matter how busy and pressured you are, you make the people you are looking after your priority. There is always time for a word, a song, a touch, and a laugh. So thank you for all your care of our mum. We knew she was safe and well looked after.

I regard this home as my new home.
The staff are kind and friendly and listen to my problems.
The meals are filling and coffee and tea available round the clock.
I would recommend Park House to anyone and, in fact, have already done so.

Park House is an excellent rest home - clean, warm, bright and always welcoming to visitors. The residents are cared for by the wonderful staff with competence, humour and affection and each resident is treated with dignity and respect. The staff work very hard to create an atmosphere which is homely
and comfortable while encouraging residents, where possible, to participate in group activities and be involved in the daily life of the home. Alternatively, if residents prefer the privacy of their rooms, that is absolutely fine. Bedrooms are spacious and well appointed and the public areas: two day lounges, a separate small room for residents to receive visitors and dining room are pleasant and airy. Meals are tasty and varied. The staff are patient and kind and clearly care deeply about their work. I could not recommend Park House more highly.

Park House is excellent and caters for my mother's every need. The management and carers are kind and supported my mother through a number of health issues. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The home is kept clean at all times. The meals are also excellent. My mother has a very good friendly relationship
with both day and night staff and is happy and content and feels safe and secure.

When we were looking around for a residential care home, Park House was the only one in which we heard laughter and interaction between staff and residents. My mother has settled in really well. The staff are excellent, very friendly and caring. The home and rooms are spotlessly clean. The food and
varied menu is excellent. Visitors are warmly welcomed at any time. I would highly recommend Park House to anyone.

My mum spent 10 days at Park house recently and very much enjoyed her say. The team of ladies were really kind and caring and made my mum feel comfortable and at ease. I would certainly recommend Park House to anyone looking for a care home that is homely and has a staff and management who genuinely
do care for their residents. An excellent service in every way.

At this time of writing my mother is now deceased. She has lived at this care home for the last eighteen months of her life. When I first visited this home I was confident my mum would be cared for very well. Park House was clean and attractive the atmosphere was friendly.
The rooms are of a good standard.
The TV lounges were bright and airy and the food was of a good standard.
The outside area is spacious with lovely flowers and plants. The management and caregiving staff exhibit professionalism.
The kindness shown to my mother in the time she was there and in her final days was excellent. We thank them.

The home is excellent. The carers are very kind and supported my mother back to good health. The room was very clean at all times. My mother had a great diet and enjoyed all her food. Personal care was always top priority. The carers always helped mother with her bathing, curled her hair and cut her
nails. To finish I would recommend Park House and give it 10 out of 10.

I like having a chat with staff. staff are always happy to make me a sandwich or a hot cuppa whenever I ask. Staff are very good and caring. My room is very good and clean. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff have been shopping for me and take me shopping. The meals are very good and I can't
complain at all. I enjoyed my 2 weeks respite care. I would definitely stay again if possible.

My mum is always treated with love and respect. She is always happy and contented and that I believe is due to the atmosphere the home creates with its high level of care and love the staff give to its residents. Mum's room and all the living rooms are always immaculate. I would recommend this home

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.993)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.993) out of 10 for Park House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.993 for Park House is calculated as follows: ( (305 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 307 Ratings = 4.993
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park House is based on 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 18 registered maximum number of service users is 3.6, which has been reached with 27 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
