With a team devoted to enriching the lives of their residents, Ashwood Park has a warm family feel the moment you walk through the door.

Providing residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care, the team also offers respite care breaks, which are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break themselves, knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The team support the residents to play a very active role in how their home is run, and there’s a resident ambassador who provides feedback on everything from the menu to the activities on offer, as well as welcoming new staff and residents.

There are so many engaging activities, from baking and pamper sessions, with manicures and hand massages, to singalongs with the piano. The residents enjoy regular entertainers, who fill the home with music.

Mealtimes are a real highlight of the day, with the chef preparing delicious home-cooked meals and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

Ashwood Park has a beautiful hair salon, for regular appointments with the mobile hairdresser, and there is a secure courtyard garden, home to ducks Pip, Hamish and Bonnie!   

There are so many spaces to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time, from the welcoming lounges and garden room to the café. And there is a private family and friends Facebook group.

The local community are embraced into life at Ashwood Park. Local school children regularly visit to enjoy activities and sing with the residents. And there are regular visits and outings with their fellow residents from Sanctuary Care’s neighbouring home.

Many of the residents love animals, so there are lots of visits from everything from dogs to animal therapy sessions with owls, guinea pigs and rabbits.

And there’s plenty to do outside the home, with trips to the Easington Beach, shopping centres, cafés, garden centres and the local school, the marina and pub lunches.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1126 and for nursing care £1334, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Mam was well looked after here. The staff were really friendly and very helpful to her.
The room was clean and comfortable and provided everything she needed.
We would not have any problem bringing her back if ever it was necessary.

From the first day I have been very welcome and have made friends with the staff, nothing is too much trouble for them, even though at times they are very busy. The food, I must say, has been good with a good mix to meet most tastes. If I needed care again I would not hesitate to come again.

Mam is a resident in the Willows at Ashwood Park and she is very well cared for. The staff in the Willows are excellent. They are caring and provide such a good service for the diverse needs of the residents. I visit regularly and I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. I am grateful to the staff
for the service they provide. This includes the manager, admin, nurses, carers, laundry and cleaning staff, events team, kitchen staff and caretaker. I would like to say a big thank you to you all. The Willows unit is very well designed with modern furnishings.
The TV lounge, quiet/music room and a dining room are all modern, clean and well equipped for the residents. The staff worked very hard to improve the garden area. It is well kept and provides a pleasant outlook from the music room for the residents. The events team display information about monthly events. The vintage singing events are very popular.

From our initial approach to the nursing home to the time of my Uncle's death, the nursing home provided a comfortable and caring environment which not only ensured my Uncle was comfortable, treated accordingly for his condition but it reassured the family that everything possible was being done to
meet my uncle's care needs. Staff were friendly, professional and accommodating at all stages of my Uncle's care and time spent at the home. My only constructive comment surrounds the food provided - as my Uncle's disease progressed, staff still provided the 'menu of the day'. Perhaps alternatives such as soup etc could have been offered. However, overall we were extremely happy with the level of care and attention my Uncle received.

Fantastic home, my nana got early set dementia and they cared for her for 10 years before she passed away. Home is kept to a great standard and staff treat their residents like family, always willing to help and do their best if you have any queries. I have seen a massive improvement over the years
since the new manager came in, I think she is doing a superb job.

My relative only had a short stay but from coming to the home to leaving they were treat very well with courtesy, kindness and friendliness.

My Nanna came to Ashwood Park sadly on end of life. She was treated with dignity and respect. The staff were very helpful and friendly they kept her and our family updated with any changes with her care. I personally couldn't thank them all enough for what they did.
