With a team devoted to enriching the lives of their residents, Ashwood Park has a warm family feel the moment you walk through the door.

Providing residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care, the team also offers respite care breaks, which are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break themselves, knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The team support the residents to play a very active role in how their home is run, and there’s a resident ambassador who provides feedback on everything from the menu to the activities on offer, as well as welcoming new staff and residents.

There are so many engaging activities, from baking and pamper sessions, with manicures and hand massages, to singalongs with the piano. The residents enjoy regular entertainers, who fill the home with music.

Mealtimes are a real highlight of the day, with the chef preparing delicious home-cooked meals and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

Ashwood Park has a beautiful hair salon, for regular appointments with the mobile hairdresser, and there is a secure courtyard garden, home to ducks Pip, Hamish and Bonnie!   

There are so many spaces to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time, from the welcoming lounges and garden room to the café. And there is a private family and friends Facebook group.

The local community are embraced into life at Ashwood Park. Local school children regularly visit to enjoy activities and sing with the residents. And there are regular visits and outings with their fellow residents from Sanctuary Care’s neighbouring home.

Many of the residents love animals, so there are lots of visits from everything from dogs to animal therapy sessions with owls, guinea pigs and rabbits.

And there’s plenty to do outside the home, with trips to the Easington Beach, shopping centres, cafés, garden centres and the local school, the marina and pub lunches.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1126 and for nursing care £1334, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Care assistants are very friendly and approachable. My room is kept very clean and my medication is given to me correctly and ordered on time. Hospital transport is always arranged for me when needed.

Staff are good in general. Home is good. We have noticed over the last few months the lighting in certain areas is very poor which we and staff have reported on several occasions. Toilet near the TV lounge is locked off when dark as there's no light.
TV lounge approximately 4 lights out, dining room
and quiet room overall lights out, corridors lights out.
We feel this is a Health and Safety issue for residents, visitors and staff walking in and out of the above areas.

Staff are always friendly and helpful, they welcome family members and are always ready to deal with any questions. My mother is always treated with dignity and respect whether hands-on care or conversation is in progress. I can go home knowing that my mother is in a safe place with people who care,

I could not wish for a better care home for my mam to be in, with wonderful caring staff, having seen first hand some of the other care homes. It's such a relief to see such a well maintained and caring home. I truly feel my mam is cared for by the fantastic staff. Thanks to you all.

Find the room pleasant, staff nice. Friendly, kind and they also do their level best to meet my needs.
Circumstances after badly broken right leg resulted in my residency. I was feeling very low and suffer from the inserted metal plate fitted by screws with residual pain, especially overnight.

My mother has been a resident at Ashwood Park for more than nine years. Throughout this time, all of the staff, including the administration, activities girls, nursing staff and cleaners have acted with courtesy and compassion often under very difficult behavioural circumstances. Her level of care has
been exemplary and the staff are a credit to this nursing home.

My friend has been in Ashwood Care Home for the last 10 months and to my surprise has settled in very well.
I am sure that this is due to the care of the friendly staff and the comfortable room she occupies with its own bathroom.

Mam was well looked after here. The staff were really friendly and very helpful to her.
The room was clean and comfortable and provided everything she needed.
We would not have any problem bringing her back if ever it was necessary.
