With a team devoted to enriching the lives of their residents, Ashwood Park has a warm family feel the moment you walk through the door.

Providing residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care, the team also offers respite care breaks, which are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break themselves, knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The team support the residents to play a very active role in how their home is run, and there’s a resident ambassador who provides feedback on everything from the menu to the activities on offer, as well as welcoming new staff and residents.

There are so many engaging activities, from baking and pamper sessions, with manicures and hand massages, to singalongs with the piano. The residents enjoy regular entertainers, who fill the home with music.

Mealtimes are a real highlight of the day, with the chef preparing delicious home-cooked meals and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

Ashwood Park has a beautiful hair salon, for regular appointments with the mobile hairdresser, and there is a secure courtyard garden, home to ducks Pip, Hamish and Bonnie!   

There are so many spaces to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time, from the welcoming lounges and garden room to the café. And there is a private family and friends Facebook group.

The local community are embraced into life at Ashwood Park. Local school children regularly visit to enjoy activities and sing with the residents. And there are regular visits and outings with their fellow residents from Sanctuary Care’s neighbouring home.

Many of the residents love animals, so there are lots of visits from everything from dogs to animal therapy sessions with owls, guinea pigs and rabbits.

And there’s plenty to do outside the home, with trips to the Easington Beach, shopping centres, cafés, garden centres and the local school, the marina and pub lunches.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1126 and for nursing care £1334, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

My mam's care is second to none, and the staff are brilliant. Such a caring home and very obliging day in day out.
Can I just say, they need a pay rise, especially over covid19. The work these people do is incredible.

Staff are very helpful, cannot do enough. Always on hand. If they give a time of two minutes, that's how long they'll be. Nothing is too much trouble, always cheerful although doing a difficult job.
They bend over backwards to accommodate. Pleasant all the time and treat you no matter what with dignity

My mother was admitted to Ashwood Park in March 2020, on the Saturday and the lockdown was Monday. Due to the coronavirus, we did not have any real-time to adjust to the home but can say that now after nearly 12-weeks, she is in the best place, and has been provided with the best care and safety that

Staff in this care home all work together each helping the other. In the last 13 weeks, I have phoned 3 times a day about my husband's health and many times I speak to him on their phone. If he cries the home phones me to talk and I try to reassure him but he does get so confused and upset. These carers
are very busy so I appreciate everything they do as I visited him every day.

My mother has been cared for in Ashwood Park for 11 years. I have no complaints, she is very happy there. She is very well cared for by the staff they are all wonderful caring staff who treat my mother with the love and dignity she deserves. Her clothes are very well cared for by the laundry staff who
do an amazing job. The home is very clean and the food is lovely too. Ashwood Park is the best residential care home I've ever been in.

The home is always clean and safe for mum to walk around. Plenty of caring, helpful staff to suit to her needs. Lots of entertainments and activities and on-site hairdresser who can relate to mums problems. The nurse is always on hand to chat to about mum and her needs.

The management, nursing staff and care workers at Ashwood Park, in my opinion, are second to none. They work tirelessly always demonstrating care and attention to their residents, my dad included, he loves it there. The current situation has proved very difficult for my dad and my family and I but they
have tried to go the extra mile with regards to keeping things as normal as possible for their residents and offering reassurance to the families. From the first day our relative entered Ashwood Park, he became part of a very caring family. The staff not only give the highest quality of care to the residents, but the support they give to relatives is also wonderful.
We never worried about leaving our relative at Ashwood Park, we always knew

The care givers have been excellent looking after the residents very well. Visitors and residents always welcomed and made to feel at ease. What family felt was a worrying and emotional time, was helped hugely by the amazing staff on zone II.
