With a team devoted to enriching the lives of their residents, Ashwood Park has a warm family feel the moment you walk through the door.

Providing residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care, the team also offers respite care breaks, which are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break themselves, knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The team support the residents to play a very active role in how their home is run, and there’s a resident ambassador who provides feedback on everything from the menu to the activities on offer, as well as welcoming new staff and residents.

There are so many engaging activities, from baking and pamper sessions, with manicures and hand massages, to singalongs with the piano. The residents enjoy regular entertainers, who fill the home with music.

Mealtimes are a real highlight of the day, with the chef preparing delicious home-cooked meals and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

Ashwood Park has a beautiful hair salon, for regular appointments with the mobile hairdresser, and there is a secure courtyard garden, home to ducks Pip, Hamish and Bonnie!   

There are so many spaces to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time, from the welcoming lounges and garden room to the café. And there is a private family and friends Facebook group.

The local community are embraced into life at Ashwood Park. Local school children regularly visit to enjoy activities and sing with the residents. And there are regular visits and outings with their fellow residents from Sanctuary Care’s neighbouring home.

Many of the residents love animals, so there are lots of visits from everything from dogs to animal therapy sessions with owls, guinea pigs and rabbits.

And there’s plenty to do outside the home, with trips to the Easington Beach, shopping centres, cafés, garden centres and the local school, the marina and pub lunches.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1126 and for nursing care £1334, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Honestly can't praise this place enough, the staff are fantastic. Each and every member of staff I had the pleasure to meet was brilliant. So friendly and helpful. I pretty much lived there for 6 weeks. I will miss the place.

My mam is very well looked after. She is very happy when I come to visit my mam. All the staff are very nice, and they always take time to speak and let me know how my mam has been.
My mam enjoys the entertainment, which comes to entertain the residents - the singers and the animals.
I am so happy

My dad was admitted to the IC Unit following a bout of severe confusion. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, which helped my dad settle into his new routine and the unit. He was cared for with dignity, and all of his needs were met. Thank you to all the staff for looking after him.

The staff are friendly and helpful.
The food is also very nice and plentiful.
Would recommend.
As my mother-in-law states in her room, the activities aren't of interest to her. However, other residents seem happy enough to partake.
She does enjoy getting her hair done.

My dad was taken here for recovery after leaving hospital following a fall. All staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help our family with advice, care and reassurance. Found Ashwood Park Residential & Nursing Home to be lovely and a great choice. Care is excellent, treated with dignity and respect at all times by staff. Nothing was too much trouble. My room is decorated to a good standard, cleaned every day, and ensuite as well. Food is good and snacks available if
needed. Good choice of menu breakfast, lunch and tea, and drinks available too. There are activities, hairdresser and others on site when needed.

My dad was on the infection prevention and control wing for five weeks. The staff are amazing especially six of them, only thing that let the home down as far as Dad was concerned was the food, poor choice for a 77-year-old man.

My father felt securely well looked after from the first day he went into Ashwood Park. The clean, pleasant room he was given was more than comfortable. He was very well attended and treated with respect and dignity. His food and drink were regular and enjoyable. The staff were always very courteous
