With a team devoted to enriching the lives of their residents, Ashwood Park has a warm family feel the moment you walk through the door.

Providing residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care, the team also offers respite care breaks, which are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break themselves, knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The team support the residents to play a very active role in how their home is run, and there’s a resident ambassador who provides feedback on everything from the menu to the activities on offer, as well as welcoming new staff and residents.

There are so many engaging activities, from baking and pamper sessions, with manicures and hand massages, to singalongs with the piano. The residents enjoy regular entertainers, who fill the home with music.

Mealtimes are a real highlight of the day, with the chef preparing delicious home-cooked meals and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

Ashwood Park has a beautiful hair salon, for regular appointments with the mobile hairdresser, and there is a secure courtyard garden, home to ducks Pip, Hamish and Bonnie!   

There are so many spaces to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time, from the welcoming lounges and garden room to the café. And there is a private family and friends Facebook group.

The local community are embraced into life at Ashwood Park. Local school children regularly visit to enjoy activities and sing with the residents. And there are regular visits and outings with their fellow residents from Sanctuary Care’s neighbouring home.

Many of the residents love animals, so there are lots of visits from everything from dogs to animal therapy sessions with owls, guinea pigs and rabbits.

And there’s plenty to do outside the home, with trips to the Easington Beach, shopping centres, cafés, garden centres and the local school, the marina and pub lunches.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1126 and for nursing care £1334, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

My mother received excellent end-of-life care. The staff were very attentive and met all of her needs.
Everyone was very caring and efficient.
They are all an amazing team and work so well together.

As I've experienced a previous nursing home. I'm so impressed with the care my partner has received.
As he can be very disrupted the carers seem to have so much patience with him, they keep on to make sure he is up for breakfast and washes which is no easy task. But as time goes on my partner seems

The care is so good and I'm really happy that the resident has settled. Food seems okay but he is so fussy it wouldn't be right. Hopefully the physios will get him mobile.

My brother has recently become a resident. I have visited him on numerous occasions. I have found the facilities and staff to be excellent and I must commend the care shown to my brother. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who asks. Continue with the good work!

My father was accommodated in the IC Unit for six weeks rehabilitation. Throughout his time on the unit, the care provided was excellent, the staff were not only efficient but also kind and caring with nothing seeming to be too much trouble for them. His needs were met at all times and the manager
of the unit was particularly helpful with no query/concern left unaddressed. Sadly my father could not be rehabilitated back home and we were supported throughout what was a particularly difficult time.

Mam only moved into Ashwwod last week (Wednesday 17/01/24) and to date, I am very impressed and happy with the care Mam is receiving. Space in room (spacious). Ensuite facility. lovely that Mam has her own. Clean and airy. Friendly and caring staff both to residents and visitors. Given help to eat and
encouraged to do so, good nutritious food. Encouraged to drink fluids (prompted). Too soon to say, however was glad to see a film on in the lounge today when I visited (Saturday 20/01/24). Presumably good entertainment. Mam has had 2 falls, fall risk is to be done next week.
