My mother-in-law has been a resident in Chilton Care Home since mid-January 2021 and has settled in surprisingly and remarkably well. I can only put that down to the excellent care given to her by all of the staff. She is always treated with kindness and consideration which is quite an achievement as my husband and myself know how difficult she is to deal with. Many thanks for all the hard work you put in to make her twilight years happy ones.

My Grandma was treated awfully in another home, was in three weeks and caught Covid and was taken into hospital for stitches on a cut on the head, eye, horrific injury. But, now in Chilton Care Centre and doing much better. All staff are amazing, like angels. I cannot fault it. The care, dignity and treatment are brilliant. Well done all at the home.

I spent six days in Chilton Care Centre. From the moment I entered the home, I was treated like a king. Everything was spot on. I would not hesitate to go in again short term, or long term. I could write a book for all the good things about Chilton Care Centre.

All the staff at Chilton Care Centre took excellent care of my stepdad.

They are all genuine, lovely people, who care dearly about their residents, and are always there for the resident's family's as well. I would highly recommend this care home.

Overall Experience

My mother went into Chilton Care Centre just before the coronavirus pandemic began. I was very impressed with the organisation and dedication of the staff. Her arrival was very well managed, calm and considerate. The home locked down early, which was hard for us, but absolutely the right thing to do. Unfortunately, Mam contracted Covid-19 and died two weeks later. Throughout, staff were professional, dignified and supportive, especially when I and my 95-year-old father couldn't visit. Strong management and dedicated staff are evident, but the way they treated Mam in her last days will never leave me.

Reply from Pauline Melville, Manager at Chilton Care Centre

Thank you for the kind words, Mam became part of our family and was loved and care for as if she were our own.

My dad went into Chilton Care Home at the end of January 2019. He only spent 6 weeks there before, sadly, passing away. I must say that the quality of care he was given there was 100%. The staff were lovely with him, he was cared for very well fed and made to feel happy, they had him singing and dancing. Whenever I left him I always felt content and happy that he was ok. They really are like one big, happy family there. Very well done ladies.

My dad was made welcome and was well looked after. All staff were friendly and made family welcome and they could not have done more than they did for my dad.
Lovely environment and atmosphere in Chilton Care Centre. Everyone is more than helpful and friendly. I made some friends with other residents whilst dad was there.

My dad thought he was in a 5-star hotel family thanks to staff.

My mother has been in the care home for 5 months.
She has lived in Chilton all her life and I was pleased to keep her in the village where she has many friends and family.

The transition process from hospital was smooth and efficient and the settling in process worked well. I find the staff helpful and approachable.
