Overall Experience

Both parents moved into Chilton Care Centre in September and are now permanent residents. The team are fantastic, providing personalised care and support. I have had the privilege of spending quite some time with my parents so have experienced all the different team members and I include 'back of house ' staff in my comments. They have taken time to know both parents as individuals and their likes/dislikes/interests/backgrounds. I love that my mam continues to be 'dressed' every day in her coordinating outfits. I'm delighted that more activities are being delivered and know this is making a difference. Dad initially kept telling me that they were in a local hotel - as it was a 4 star one that indicates his appreciation of the surroundings, staff and food. Both parents' nutrition and hydration is really important and has improved whilst being resident. Food's cooked on the premises and is delicious. I can relax knowing my parents are safe, being well cared for and most importantly are happy.

Mam entered this care home in May 2021 due to not being safe at home, even with four times-a-day home care visits. She settled in immediately and during her final twenty-two months spoke nothing but highly of the staff and care she received. As a family, we are eternally grateful for the care and dignity that she was given during her final time with us. I am in no doubt that her life was extended by the care she received in this wonderful care home and its amazing staff. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

The care my dad receives is always personal and of a high standard. They know him and his ways and needs. Dad can sometimes be grumpy but is always understood by the carers.
Communication is of a very high standard and on many levels, goes above and beyond expectations.

I'm very happy with Dad's care and more importantly, he's happy.

So pleased my dad is at Chilton Care Centre. The staff are all amazing with him and have made him feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Food is homemade, he really enjoys his meals, and his room is lovely and cosy. Cannot thank them enough for the care and support they give him.

I would recommend this care home. The care staff are amazing, they are the best I have ever seen and had dealings with. I work in a care home and the staff in Chilton Care Centre are 100% better than anywhere I have seen. The management are helpful and nothing is a problem to them. Truly amazing.

I feel forever grateful to Chilton Care Centre for the way they care for my nana. They are compassionate, understanding and brilliant at what they do. My nana thinks the world of so many of the girls now. Care work is exceptionally hard yet these angels do it with ease.
The manager is also fabulous, keeping family in the loop when it comes to care, as well as genuinely caring about her residents and their experience.

Thank you to you all, from the carers to the chefs to the domestic staff- your hard work does not go unseen.

I simply cannot rate or recommend Chilton Care Centre highly enough. We have been going through one of the most difficult times and the manager and her team have supported us every step of the way and made us feel at ease. The support and care they provide are second to none and the facilities are excellent! Would not hesitate to recommend Chilton to any family who is looking for a home from home for a loved one!

I find Chilton Care Centre to be exceptional in everything they do, the staff I believe are second to none, they always go out of their way when I visit they are always very friendly and accommodating always a cup of tea if I want one regardless of the time and a biscuit of course, there’s always plenty of activities for the residents which I find keeps my mother occupied and she certainly enjoys whatever is on, she’s always up for a dance or song and they always get the residents involved in certain activities. I find the room, my mother is in to be nice and spacious her own en suite, my mother certainly likes it here which is certainly half the battle knowing we can leave her and she’ll be looked after. I will never rate any care home with 5 stars, that is not a negative as such but can’t believe all care homes can charge what they do, for the residency especially if you are a paying resident, it certainly doesn’t pay to do well for yourself in life.

Fantastic all-round care. Staff go above and beyond to ensure that service users are well looked after holistically, ensuring all needs are met. The staff treat the service users as their own family members and go above and beyond to make sure they feel safe and at home. Nothing is a problem. Staff communicate effectively and regularly with family members and are there when needed.

My mam has been in Chilton Care Centre nearly a year, she is receiving the best care ever, she adores all of the staff and they think the world of her, it was her 80th birthday in April. A surprise party was arranged by the staff at the home, it was a brill day, they couldn’t do enough for us all. It’s very rare if ever, we have to address any issues. All the family are very pleased with the care and compassion our mam is receiving. We are grateful to the manager and all of her staff.

Not being able to visit my 91-year-old mother over the last 2-years with Covid restrictions, I am very humbled by the care and professionalism of the staff in Chilton Care home. They have worked under some very difficult circumstances, which could not have been easy. I just want to show my recognition of this, and I will remain forever grateful for the duty of care shown to my mother. Thank you.

My wife has been a resident for just over two years, and the care she has received has been second to none. The staff carry out their duties in a most professional manner blended with a touch of humour that puts their charges at ease. Any problems or needs that my wife has are communicated to me immediately. I cannot praise the staff of the care home enough.

My mother has been a resident for a couple of years now, and I have to say that they go above and beyond in the care she receives. I also have had help with regards to questions on her care and know if I need anything at all that the staff are there for my mother as well as myself. Everyone who works within this facility is friendly, caring and there whenever needed. I can not praise them enough for everything they do.

My father has been at Chilton Care Centre for three and a half weeks, and I have been very impressed since day one. Every member of staff I have met seems very professional, capable, considerate and kind. Nothing seems to be too much trouble, and the feedback regarding my father has been invaluable - he is enjoying it.

Excellent care service, staff always very helpful and treat my father as if they actually do care for him and he is not just a number, definitely making a bad period of life much better for Dad and for us. We have found that any queries/problems we have raised have always been addressed effectively. The help Dad receives is second to none and meals are very good.

Mother was transferred to Chilton Care Centre after being diagnosed with dementia which seems to be progressing rapidly. Her care is exceptionally good. She is cared for as if she was family, as all the residents seem to be. The home is clean, light and bright and everyone seems very happy, residents and staff. Mam was 90 today and the home provided a singer followed by a beautiful afternoon tea and following negative tests the family were given the use of a private room with afternoon tea and Mam's cake. The room had been decorated with balloons and bunting, it was really fabulous. Overall, all of my siblings are very content that Mam is being very well looked after.
