My dad had care as my mum had an accident and was unable to look after him. The staff were brilliant with my dad as his extended family, nothing was to much trouble. I would definitely use the care home again. Five star service.

During the final month of my Father's stay, he became more agitated, and the staff felt that he had to leave because they couldn't cope with him. He had quite a troubling stay in this home and we felt from the start he should not have been put there in the first place.
My father has had to be moved to a new place because his mental health caused by dementia has become unsuitable for care homes such as this, even though they say they can manage people with all forms of dementia. But it seems as though they cannot.

I would not recommend anybody suffering with dementia be accommodated at this place, because they are incapable of meeting their needs.

We kept you daily informed of your Dad's behaviour, Safeguardings were completed, due to hitting out at other Residents. You told the Staff, you did not want to hear when we were putting the safeguarding reports in. We worked closely with the Mental Health Team and your Dad's G.P. to enable him...

My mother and myself have and are being treated with respect, kindness and patience. Healthy regular meals. Help if needed. Medical attention if needed.

Please note the tick box for rooms rated good as toilet flush keeps not working, also classed this as facilities, activities that are organised are excellent but games can get out of cupboards self to play parts and pieces missing but I am going to donate some games and jigsaws for residents.

As I can't use names I can only say that staff, i.e., carers, cooks and the cleaning staff, perform a wonderful job. I would have never thought that Dorothy would develop this unfortunate disease but I have peace of mind when I leave her in your wonderful care. Thank you to all.

From the very first meeting with staff and managers parklands felt like a very warm, friendly and deeply caring environment. Every single person, resident, staff member or visitor is treated with courtesy and respect. The environment is homely and welcoming. We are very satisfied with the care given.

My godmother has been a resident since may 25 and from the first day we have been so impressed with the quality of care she has received. Every aspect of care and support has been 100% and Parklands really does feel like home now. The admin staff, care givers, kitchen & domestic staff are all so kind, friendly and caring. it really has made the transition so much easier.

My Father was offered a time to think bed at Parklands Care Home just before Christmas 2025. We were all a little apprehensive but that didn't last long.
From the very first visit to my Dad I could see and hear the wonderful care, compassion and professionalism towards all residents who resided therein.
My Dad had a lovely clean, well appointed bedroom with attached spacious en-suite.
All staff from domestics to Supervisors were so friendly and supportive. I could mention quite a few, who should be praised, but they know how we felt as a family when we left reluctantly on 11/01/26

Dad wanted to try again at home but I and all my family know if it gets too much for him, we would dearly love for Dad to be placed in the safe and caring home from home as Parklands. Thank you so much all staff.

I can't compliment nor thank every single member of staff here at Parklands enough. The level of care and support they are giving my dad is amazing.

They really care about how he is and keep.me updated on every aspect of his care. The stress and pressure this has helped reduce on me is massive, knowing he is looked after and cared for.

Amazing and caring staff, every single one.

From the first day, it was evident that Parklands Residential Care Home stands out for its exceptional care and warmth. My mother has never been happier; her bright smile and stories of her days filled with singing and chatting with the team are heartwarming. The staff's dedication and genuine kindness are unmatched. Every visit, we're greeted with a friendly offer of a hot drink and a consistently clean, well-maintained community area. The attention to detail and the pride the staff take in their work are truly commendable. We are deeply appreciative of the outstanding care and support provided, making Parklands Care Home a true home for our loved ones.

Overall Experience
My mother has been an EMI resident since July 2022. She has received outstanding care throughout this period. She has formed some very strong bonds with seniors and carers and has some absolute favourites. Over this time she has mellowed and looks healthy, more relaxed, and well looked after, much better than before she became a resident even at 94 years old. We know that she is not an easy person and never has been so that makes her present demeanour even more special and must have been achieved by the hard work of her seniors and carers.
She praises the food and obviously enjoys it. Her personal appearance is very good, being maintained so well by her carers and seniors and facilitated by an in-house laundry and hairdressing service.

We would highly recommend Parklands, not just for the facilities provided and the fantastic care she receives, but also for the thoughtfulness shown by carers and seniors to both her and us, her family.

Mam has been in Parklands for 18 months now and I am happy with her care. She is well looked after though her behaviour at times can be trying. Mam has her own room and can have her own furniture if she wants it.

Admin staff have been extremely helpful when dealing with adult social care, etc.

My aunt has been a resident at Parklands for 8 years. She is extremely well looked after, even though her behaviour at times can be very testing for the staff. The care is excellent, their level of patience, compassion, kindness and friendliness is wonderful. They are true professionals. The main building is old but they have overcome this with bright, colourful decor. The whole building is kept very clean and fresh. Although my aunt would rather be at home, she is mostly content and relaxed. The food is freshly cooked on the premises, it is excellent. There are varied activities and entertainment. I cannot praise the staff at Parklands highly enough from cleaners, cooks, handymen, entertainment, admin, secretaries, carers and management. They go above and beyond for their residents. I am very grateful for their love and support.

Having my Mam in Parklands has helped with a lot of worry as she is looked after and taken care of, plus she is safe. I am happy with most of the staff because if she is unwell I am contacted straight away and kept informed as the day goes on. I love there own private rooms as they have peace and quiet if they are unwell and they are kept very clean. I am also happy with their meals.

In an ideal world, it would be great for the building itself to get an upgrade - more ensuite rooms, paint wall, new floorings etc, but the staff do a wonderful job, meaning I can't recommend Parklands highly enough.
