My mum has been a resident for over 6 years. The caring and compassionate staff go above and beyond regarding all the residents in their care, ensuring their spirits are kept high with music, dancing, entertainment when visiting loved ones has been restricted. The team have been innovative in ways to allow relatives to visit their loved ones, creating a visitor's room, tea room and even decorated one of the lounges like an ice cream parlour back in the day for residents to enjoy. I have recommended this care home to my friends who have been looking for a care home for their mum and I would definitely not hesitate to recommend it again.

When my sister’s husband and carer passed away suddenly, she needed a peaceful and caring new home, where she’d feel calm and comfortable. The team at Lambton House took the time to make to my sisters new home feel like a home-from-home.
The care the team have given her has been exceptional and they made her feel welcome from the first day.
Not only do we know she’s well taken care of medically, the team have offered something far greater; friendship.
They regularly put on entertainment with live music, games events, dancing, gardening and are always looking at new ideas and feedback as to what to plan next.

Covid-19 has hit care homes extremely hard, with the inability to see loved ones, the team have still found ways to make sure we can safely call in to see my sister, they’ve recently built an indoor visiting room which is completely safe for both the residents and visitors and lets loved ones spend some quality time, face to face with each other. The team have also created a lovely rea room for residents/visitors when able to visit.

My mum tried Lambton House after a traumatic and chaotic week in another local home (with a great CQC report). Lambton was where she tried next and from the moment she arrived, we knew we had made the right decision. They are so caring and considerate, within a week had gained my mum's trust and had given her the care and consideration she required to settle in, even in this troubled and uncertain time. They facilitate contact with families regularly and communication is excellent.

When my mother first came into the care home she was not very well in fact I did not think she would survive. The home's staff have looked after her and she has obviously improved although she cannot remember how bad she was. She has started to walk again and is always well presented.

This care home deserves a very good or excellent in all categories.

The team from the manager, the care team, the cooks, housekeeping and maintenance provide care at a very high standard. The social interaction and entertainment are such an important part of creating a family atmosphere. It's hard to put on paper, but I see my mam and the other residents are very much treated with care, kindness and dignity - the team 'know' my mam. My family are encouraged to be a part of the care for Mam and welcomed during visits and activities. During lockdown contact is made through Facebook, phone and Skype. Thank you Lambton House.

My mum has been in Lambton House for almost 1 year now and has dementia. The staff are wonderful- highly professional and very committed and caring. They are clearly well trained in dealing with residents with complex needs. Lambton House has a good selection of varied activities for the residents to get involved with which keep my mum interested and active. The facilities are very good with a wonderful garden area in the area. There is a positive atmosphere about the home which is largely due to the committed staff.

During COVID-19 where I can't visit, I've been able to Skype my mam and have lovely chats with her. One particular carer has been brilliant facilitating this using his own personal iPad, really helpful. Moving forward, this would be a great addition for the Home to use once lockdown has ended. The Home is set in lovely surroundings and the garden area is particularly welcoming compared to other Homes I've visited. The staff are friendly, and my mam has made some lovely friends - her quality of life is far better since being here and it's great to see her so happy.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Lambton House especially, during these extremely difficult times dealing with the Covid-19 virus. Our family, along with many others, have been finding not being able to visit our relatives very upsetting.
Knowing that we have been unable to visit for so long, they have tried their very best to keep us updated by the use of their social media site, posting photos of our loved ones and the activities they have been taking part in. These have been an absolute Godsend, reassuring us that our loved ones are being well looked after as always and are keeping well through these troubled times. It was brilliant to see photos of my father-in-Law, hopefully, it won't be too long before we can visit again.

We really appreciate all your hard work and dedication looking after our loved ones, keep up the great work and stay safe. Thank You.

My Dad has been in this home for 2-years and is very happy, all of the staff are very caring and helpful and really love the residents. They have lots of activities going on and regularly have entertainers in (obviously not at the moment), the kitchen staff all to a great job and the meals are very nice, I’ve tried them myself. To all the staff, carers, activity organiser, cleaners, laundry staff, handyman and management a big thank you for your hard work and dedication - you have a lovely home.

I was very upset at my husband having to go into care but from day one I felt very welcome and my husband was in safe hands. The staff are so friendly and clearly enjoy their work. The care and attention from staff, GP and other medical personnel have been second to none. The activities and entertainment programmes are excellent, the food looks delicious and the staff go out of their way to meet the activities that my husband likes e.g. going into the garden. Well done.

My mam came into this care home under different circumstances to maybe many other residents. She settled in straight away, which was my main worry. The staff were amazing people. She feels comfortable in there as its like a home away from home. Staff are friendly and easy to get along with, nothings a problem at any time of day. Always welcome when you ring at any time. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone/family with a difficult decision to make.

My brother and I looked at several care homes for our mother.
From our initial visit, we found the home had a very friendly and homely feel.
The staff are all very dedicated and friendly; nothing is a problem.

We could not have chosen a safer home form our mother, especially now during the covid-19 pandemic. I feel the staff have gone above and beyond to keep all residents and themselves safe and well.

The staff allowed me to use their personal iPads to video and see Mum, which makes such a difference in lockdown. Mum always looks happy and smiling with a story to tell about a picnic or afternoon tea they have had, which is very reassuring for family members.
