My experience, up to now, is that this home is at the very top of the care home league if there is such an animal. It has that homely atmosphere about it which must be so hard to accomplish with so many people with so many different health or mental problems. The home is kept scrupulously clean. It doesn't have that horrible smell of body waste and unwashed bodies at all. A fault I found and encountered sometimes in the work I did before retirement. This is because of the attention the staff carry out to the health, well-being and cleanliness to the residents, and of course the cleanliness of the home. This care and attention to all I have said that I bless and value the day the management accepted my loved one into their care. Also, I must mention the activities staff who do a wonderful, difficult job in keeping the residents attended and occupied. Finally, my thanks and gratitude to the management for keeping us aware of what our loved ones are up to through social media.

My friend of 45 years was admitted to Lambton House in November and has settled better than her son and I anticipated. She was very lonely at home after her husband died in February 2019. She lost friends during Covid and her short term memory deteriorated and she became depressed. Since moving into Lambton her mood has lifted and our fun loving friend has returned. Staff are very professional and all residents are treated with respect and dignity. Activities/entertainment is fantastic, with lots of social interaction. A big thank you to all Lambton staff for the care and support given to our loved ones. In my opinion this is a well managed 5 star residential care home.

What a lovely place this is. Everything is organised to provide the residents with the best experience possible. The staff are really caring and there are loads of activities and events to keep the residents busy and entertained. The rooms are really nice and kept spotless and the garden is just lovely. My mam is really happy here and I am so grateful to the staff for looking after her so well.

My mam has been at Lambton House for three months now and I can honestly say I could not be happier with the care she is receiving. The staff are so kind, always there with a smile, a joke or words of encouragement, they are very approachable and always ready to help. Mam thoroughly enjoys the activities and entertainment from hair and beauty to bingo, dominoes, and the garden and grounds, which are extensive and include a pub and tea room! To quizzes and crafts and baking - the list is endless, as it would seem is the energy of Lambton House staff! Mam has a beautiful room, everything is so immaculately clean She is so well looked after. It was such a worry placing her in care but I am delighted we found Lambton House, a big thank you to each and every member of staff who has helped mam to settle and who care for her with such kindness, empathy and compassion You are all amazing!

We put my dad in for respite while we were on holiday. The staff couldn’t have been better going over and above what they needed to do. My dad enjoyed it very much. It was very clean and very professional, and the garden is amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Even though I have not been able to visit my Mum in person for a long time, I Skype with her regularly from overseas. Mum finally gets the pampering she deserves when she has her hair, nails and makeup done and I think she quite enjoys it! She has even resumed reading for pleasure. I cannot say enough good things about all of the staff who go out of their way to greet the residents cheerily and treat them with dignity, respect and humour and behind-the-scenes staff who ensure the internet connections run as smoothly as possible.

And all of this in a pandemic, which has challenged everyone. Staff provide an absolutely essential service and you are very much appreciated by the residents, their families and friends. Nothing would function without your constant care, diligence and kindness. It has been an absolute godsend seeing regular Facebook posts and knowing Mum is happy and well. Thank you so very much!

We are so pleased we found this care home it is perfect. Dad was in the process of being tested for Dementia, but he came in here for 2-weeks respite, to give Mam a rest. After 3-days he was asking when he could come back after his stay had ended, he absolutely loved it. The respite was extended for a week as he was joining in with activities and entertainment, which he wouldn’t do at home and they have got him in a great routine instead of sleeping all day. Friends and family don’t recognise him now, he is a different man. They have even managed to get him to go to the hospital appointments, which he would not do from home. After his third week, he got his diagnosis, and he had Alzheimer’s. After we talked to him, he wanted to stay here permanently so Mam could now rest. He is always complimenting the staff, he says he wants for nothing and they will do anything for him and that the food is great. We would definitely recommend this care home.

My mother has been in Lambton House for 8 weeks respite and we have found that the facilities are very good and the staff very caring. My mother particularly likes the entertainment that is provided, especially when the weather is nice and able to watch in the garden outside the delightful tea room and Pitstop Bar. She also looks forward to visiting the Hair Salon every Friday to have her hair washed, blow-dried and have a natter with the hairdresser and other residents. Mother did not want to leave her own home as no one would but has decided to stay at Lambton House as a permanent resident.

Staff have been extremely helpful, caring and supportive to help Mam adjust to her new home. They have kept us updated on her health, welfare and how she is settling into her new environment. They have a varied range of entertainment to keep residents occupied, and Mam particularly enjoys the afternoon singers, especially if it’s in the garden as it was in the recent warm spell.

We as a family, couldn’t be happier with the care my dad has received since going into Lambton House. The staff are so lovely with the residents and the families. My dad has dementia and we were so worried about putting him into care. All the staff at Lambton House made this transition so easy for us, as a family. Well done to all the staff at Lambton House and thank you so much for your support with my dad.

A family friend has been in Lambton House since 2020. After a transfer from an unsatisfactory Care Home, he has certainly thrived since his move. I have nothing but praise for Lambton House. The staff apart from their friendliness, are dedicated showing empathy, support, and care. The residents, if they wish, are involved in daily activities, also entertainment is provided on a regular basis. Outside there is a newly built pavilion, plus extensive gardens to stroll in or just to sit in and watch the wildlife. If I could have rated more stars, I certainly would have done so.

I can't thank Lambton House enough for making my mother settle in so quickly. When I asked her how she settled in, she said it was like being in a hotel. The food was lovely with plenty of choice and nothing was too much for all the staff, nothing was a bother. When I visit her hair has been done at the one site hairdresser and she always looks smart.

I could not wish for anywhere better for Mum to be.

Every contact with the home has been a positive one. From day one, every query/question has been answered and followed up. The whole team are excellent communicators. It's very obvious that the work environment is a caring, professional and friendly one. Can not find a fault at all. Couldn't have wished for anything better for my father. The whole family are delighted that my father is now in their safe care,

My dad has only been a resident at Lambton House for 8 months but during this time he has been very well cared for by compassionate, caring and dedicated staff. After taking time to adjust to his new surroundings he is now well and truly settled and seems extremely happy, this can only be as a result of the care and attention he is receiving. He is thoroughly enjoying all of the activities/entertainment especially the singing and dancing. He also loves the opportunity to be in the beautiful garden and tearoom, spending time reminiscing with other residents. The updates and photographs we receive on a regular basis help us to keep in touch.
