The biggest initial attraction to placing mum at lambton was the understanding of her needs, the range of activities on offer & the tranquil setting especially the gardens. It was a good choice. I say to mum when i take her out, are we going back to lambton hotel now! It feels so special like home.
Mum now has meat on her bones enjoying the varied menu & good ingredients, which is positive as she had a limited diet at home & wouldnt eat much.
The staff are brilliant and go the extra mile, are helpful, patient, treat residents with respect always smiling and engaging with residents and families. Nothing is too much trouble which is admirable in what must be a challenging job at times.
Mum has flourished under their care & is a lot more open to new experiences & the opportunities lambton offers.
Keeo doing what you're doing.
Our team will be delighted to read such positive and personal comments.
Your mam is a pleasure to care for. She is without doubt our most enthusiastic dancer when our visiting singers attend or any music based activities are on the schedule. As a home, we...
5 star ratings for an outstanding care home. My Mam was only here for respite after being in hospital. She received first class care throughout her time here. Clean and spotless everywhere. The staff went above and beyond caring for all of the residents. There was a variety of activities every day. My Mam loved having her hair done every week. Everyone was lovely with her. Food was exceptional, freshly cooked and an excellent menu choice. The gardens are fantastic and my Mam enjoyed sitting in the sunshine. The bar area and tearoom are both amazing. Thank you to everyone who made my Mam's stay both enjoyable and safe. I would recommend Lambton House to anyone who needs residential care. Thanks again
Thankyou once again. All feedback is valued.
We transferred resident to Lambton House from an unsatisfactory care home. Lambton House is a lovely friendly home with excellent food and staff. Resident has settled in fine and we are confident he is being looked after well. Loads of activities for residents and entertainment regularly.
Your feedback and support is valued and much appreciated.
In reception there is a noticeboard which informs visitors of what is going on + menu for the day this is especially helpful as my sister sometimes cannot remember things. The home is lovely + clean (no horrid smells like some) and very well maintained.
Staff are very friendly, helpful and understanding. When it is warm she likes to be in the garden + tea room is nice to sit in when visiting. Plenty of activities and events on to keep resident's occupied kept up to date on social media which is good. Would stay here myself.
We are all hoping for another warm and sunny few months ahead so everyone can enjoy our lovely outdoor spaces.
I will pass on your positive comments to both Domestic and Activities team.
All feedback is valued and appreciated.
Would highly recommend the home staff and management very helpful of both my mum and her family. Facilities are excellent always something going on to entertain the residents. The position of the care home is really nice with lovely grounds and amenities including a tearoom library and bar.
The staff are all so kind and friendly and nothing seems a trouble to them
Thankyou for your very positive review of the home, facilities and staff. It's very rewarding to read that your visits to Lambton to see your friend have been enjoyable. We appreciate all feedback. I will ensure your comments are passed on to the rest of the team.
I have been visiting my friend in Lambton House Care home for the last 18 months & find the whole experience from entering to leaving the home to be excellent. The welcome given by the staff & cleanliness of this home just makes you feel that you could spend your later years here. Lovely cosy rooms & lounges are a great start where many activities are arranged . Beautiful well kept lawn gardens with tearoom & bar to accommodate visitors during the summer months & also has a nicely decorated library if you want to visit inside. My friend is a vegetarian so he has no problem with meals as everyone is cared for. He enjoys his life at Lambton House Care home so I am happy & Im sure his family are too.
I will ensure your thoughts are passed on to the care team and the maintenance team.
Thankyou .
On the first visit to see our friend in Lambton House, we were impressed with the happy atmosphere outside in the lovely garden space where the residents were enjoying a party. There was live entertainment with a singer encouraging residents to sing and dance to the music. On another visit we enjoyed a meal in the tea room with our friend and her family. We were sent photos of the occasion by a staff member. A nice reminder of our time together. We also visited the friendly pub and played dominoes and chatted to residents who told us of many activities they enjoyed. Painting, craft cookery, word search and quiz, physical exercises and karaoke. Trips are made outside the house. Overall, our impression was that the care home offers a wonderful life style for all the residents. We were impressed by the staff we met who were all dedicated to their work, and we as visitors felt very welcome.
I will share your comments with the team.We are so pleased that you found your visiting experiences to be positive .
Our garden spaces are a fantastic meeting place for friends and family in the warmer months. You are most welcome to pop in to see your friend whenever you are in the area.
Thanks all
On behalf of the team we appreciate your feedback.
Thankyou for your lovely review.
He had become very depressed in that time but since living in Lambton House he has become his normal self again.....a cheeky, happy chappy.
I cannot praise the home or the staff enough.
From the cleanliness through to the care it is amazing.
There is always something happening to keep the residents interested and involved.
The staff are very friendly to family and friends also and it is a pleasure to visit my dad there.
I will pass on your comments to the team. All feedback is appreciated.
Thankyou for your lovely review.
This care home appears very good to i.e. the overall condition of the home and friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately the home chooses the 'best option' for themselves when it comes to patient care. They are too quick to call emergency services which resulted in multiple hospital admissions for my mum and this finally resulted in them refusing to take her back because of increased mobility issues. No personal communication to me on this (just email) - shocking.
Resident safety & care is our priority.
Our homes registration is for Residential care. Generally we would expect to use doctors, nurses & paramedics, more than nursing homes because our staff have less...
We could not have found a better care home the facilities are excellent. The cleanliness is great - no smell or mess the staff are caring professional and approachable and the management couldn't be more helpful. The meals look lovely with a good selection and there are so many activities to keep residents occupied and happy.
Thankyou for your lovely review . I will pass this on to our care ,domestic and housekeeping teams who appreciate positive feedback.Your mum seems to be settling in well to home life, enjoying the company of other residents, activities and outdoor spaces we have at Lambton.
My mum is so settled and happy, the entire team at Lambton have made her welcome. I've not seen her this relaxed in a long time.
I cannot praise the care staff enough for providing such an engaging, stimulating and caring environment for mum
We are so glad that your mam has settled so well and seems to enjoy our range of activities. She has certainly become part of the 'family' since coming to live at Lambton House! Thank you very much for taking the time to submit this review, it is appreciated by us all.
As ever, communication with the home to arrange our visit was straightforward. On the day we were taken to the garden tea room/pub and my mum was brought across to us from the main building. Lunch was brought in for her, and she ate every bit (as she always does). When she needed to use the loo assistance came promptly when requested. The tea room and pub are excellently maintained and are very welcoming and practical spaces for residents and visitors. The fact that mum is so happy at the home gives me great comfort.
Thank you very much for your positive feedback. We are delighted to hear you and Mum had a good experience with our staff . Personal interaction and delivering the highest standard of care are at the heart of what we do and we appreciate your recognition. The garden tearoom and bar have proved to...
I visited quite a few other homes and found the process quite stressful but I knew as soon I visited Lambton House that this was the right place for Dad. We were able to come to his new room beforehand to set up his room with his own home comforts , he loved it from the minute he arrived , he loves getting involved in the numerous activities they run daily and seeing the musicians and bands come into to play but he also likes his own space and he can retreat to his room.
I got married in December and the team at
Lambton House knew how much it meant to me and my now husband that Dad was there to walk me down the aisle, dads mobility isn't great but the team worked hard with me to make it happen and we couldn't have been happier to have him part of our celebrations.
We recommend Lambton House to anyone who will listen !!
Thankyou for your very personal review of the home. Recommendations are always welcome. The care team do appreciate such positive feedback. We were all delighted to see your dad attend your wedding as we know how much it meant to all of the family. The photos were fabulous.
Being geographically far from Lambton House (I live in the South of France) and as my mam has more trouble communicating on the phone these days, I really do find the social media posts most useful.
A huge thank you also for all the photos and messages I receive to let me know my mam is getting on.
There are so many different activities and events going on and my mam is always encouraged to join in and do what she can handle.
My mam seems happy and I know she is safe, being in good hands thanks to the kind and compassionate carers. This is very comforting when I leave my mam to head back to France.
Lambton House is a happy place to be as everyone is so welcoming and smiling. Thank you so very much for your devotion to the residents and for all of the energy and personal investment.
Challenging work which is much appreciated.
Thank you for your lovely review. Your mum has settled in well to home life.We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We do understand how important our social media page is to many families who live further afeild, but wish to feel connected to the home.Thank...
The overall care is exceptional. All my relative's needs are fully catered for. The care home provides excellent entertainment and interactive sessions with residents. Staff are always willing to help and extremely professional.
Thank you for taking time to review the home. We appreciate feedback at all times and your positive comments are very welcome. I will ensure your support is shared with the rest of the team.
Roll on to December 24 and my family have found Mum as happy as she can be with her condition. Her anxiety is dealt with so well that it swiftly passes. All the home's many organised activities and musical events in the lounges or the garden by the beautiful lodge-style tea rooms bring out Mum's fun side and her love of dancing and singing. After being alone for so long, this is wonderful to see. Mum has a whole new chapter to her life and Lambton keep us informed of any issues along the way. Living 80 miles away, this has been invaluable for me personally.
In conclusion, it's the quality of care that comes top for me at Lambton House and it is a privilege to write this review.
Thank you so much for such a positive and thoughtful review. Your mum has settled in well in her new home and seems to enjoy the company of staff and residents at Lambton. It's lovely to see your mum enjoying music and dancing events when we have visiting entertainers or karaoke afternoons. I will...
I live 6 hours away, so it's great that the home and the staff keep me up to date by sharing photos.
We recently had my sister's wedding and Dad is unfortunately not mobile, but the staff at Lambton House understood how important it was for us to have Dad at the wedding and they did everything to make sure he was and worked with us in partnership to make a plan.
I couldn't recommend Lambton House more, it brings me great comfort knowing Dad has such fantastic care.
Thank you for taking the time to offer a review with such positive comments. Hopefully, our social media page helps families and friends who are based outside of the northeast, continue to feel connected to the home and give an insight into daily life for residents and staff. I'm so pleased your...
I can never thank all the staff for all the help, support, care, patience and kindness that each and every one of the staff showed to my dad. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I know that Dad receives the best of care and is so well looked after.
Thank you so much for your positive review. I will be sure to pass on your comments to the rest of the team. All feedback is welcome and valued.
