Overall, in the last few months, I have witnessed a great improvement in the general atmosphere, cleanliness, management and happiness of the residents and families. Well done, North Park.

I spent at least 6 hours a day with my husband, I was always made to feel welcome, offered food and drinks and asked to join in with any activities. The staff always made me feel at home.

Barchester North Park went above and beyond today so that I was able to celebrate my graduation with my grandad. They put on a little surprise tea party for us to enjoy while we chatted and got family photos. They even bought a cake for us to celebrate with! They are all so friendly and couldn’t have been more accommodating not just today but on previous occasions as well. I’m so happy my grandad is in such a lovely setting with smiley staff that are always willing to help when needed not just with the residents but their families too.

We hadn't visited the home before his arrival due to the urgent situation. We were immediately put at ease on our first visit - speaking to staff at all levels we heard how well he settled (surprising us all).
The staff took great interest from the start to understand the rare type of dementia my dad has, and how his complex needs may differ from other residents on Memory Lane.
We continue to be impressed with the daily enrichment for the residents. For a long time while still at home, my dad had no interest in doing anything, but since moving to North Park he has made smoothies, cards, arranged flowers and had a visit from a petting zoo (greatly enjoyed by many residents!).
The place is spotless, housekeeping staff work continuously.
We really value the work of all the care staff in providing truly person-centred care.

Staff have no time. Staff look after you but have no time to care or talk.
Thank you for taking the time to add a review. We value feedback shared so that we can work with families to support you and continuously improve our service. We are so sorry that you shared comments on your review about the lack of time from staff, we understand that you have spoken with the...
My mum was originally placed in North Park Care Home for respite care but became a full-time resident shortly after. The staff are wonderful and truly care for residents and families. My mum was very happy there and encouraged to join in the many activities, she loved the therapy dog too. She made friends with other residents and when she took ill, appropriate action was taken. In the end, the staff went the extra mile to make sure she and I were comfortable and could not have done more.

Dad loves all the carers and despite his poor memory due to living with dementia, he has already remembered some names in the month he has been here because they are the staff he loves the most. I am included in every aspect of Dad's care, they understand he is my world (especially since we lost Mum six weeks ago) and I am invited to all the events and parties planned.
Having worked in nursing homes I can not stress how wonderful everyone is here.

friendly and approachable. They were also very patient with my dad helping him every day to use his mobile phone as he kept forgetting. This meant a lot to both myself and my dad as I could speak to him on a regular basis.

I didn't like it when I first came! It was like a regimental prison, and it took a long time to get used to being here. I have made lots of friends now, and I like to help those who are less able than me. I have started to tend to one of the gardens, which I enjoy doing, and it's nice being able to go up and down stairs to meet other residents. They have activities on and we can pick and choose what we want to do.

My mother was very happy in North Park Care Home. She was extremely well looked after and had a genuine affection for all the staff, as they did to her, referring to them as her friends. She was always clean and tidy, very well fed, and her room was spotless. We were very lucky that Mam had the last two years of her life here.

I rarely give excellent, only due to the fact we can all go down the unrewarding path giving less than good results in the situation. There are good staff here, who have the excellent attitude that where they have not managed a situation well, they will think again as to the best path each time. The attitude is apparent, and it is indeed excellent for those good people.
Thank you for your kind comments. We will pass these on to all the staff. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope you may come to stay with us again in the future.
Your home looked after my mother very well, and she loved it, and all the staff were lovely with her, which put myself and my family at peace of mind.

The staff at North Park are lovely. They made me feel welcome and at home while I was visiting my elderly grandmother on my visit from Canada. The home seems well run and feels safe during the current pandemic. The staff went above and beyond. The matron took much time to explain her health situation to me. A special mention to the tall caretaker man who at my grandma's request provides any little thing she needs as he passes by. Lovely people who care deeply about their residents. Thanks for having me!

It is now six months since I last submitted a review on North Park. My wife continues to soldier on regardless walking many miles up and down Memory Lane usually with a friend to accompany her. Her care has at times been excellent with the team seeing to her needs despite all the trials of COVID. Never have I had to worry about her safety or any other security aspects of her stay at the home. In the early days, we were only able to see her via “the bubble” once that was established and up and running. Now we have regular bedroom visits and trips out which are fully supported by the staff. Entertainments are a revelation and my wife takes part in things I would never have dreamed of from bowling to dancing, painting to flower making, great stuff. So North Park keep up the good work, I value all your support and the time you all take to look after the residents. Well done to the many care staff who do the extra mile on behalf of their residents.

My husband has been a resident of North Park Care home since October 2020. He is well cared for and is always clean and tidy. Since he was admitted, visiting restrictions have been in operation, however, this has been overcome by a very welcoming, comfortable indoor visiting suite. All of the staff are very kind and understanding. They have helped me in what I have found difficult circumstances, with their reassurance, North Park has a happy and relaxed feeling! Staff are great, wonderful, etc. Thank you all.

Everyone from management, admin, care staff through to catering and cleaning go above and beyond to care for and support residents and their families. It helps, in these troubled times, to know that my loved one is living in such a good place.

My sister had several respite stays at North Park and was due to go permanently. She was a character but was well-loved there. She thought she was on holiday. Everyone very kind and caring, food always looked lovely and clothes were always spotless. Can't speak more highly of North Park. Sadly Covid got her before she got her new forever home.
