As usual a pleasant visit; caring staff, good facilities, problems sorted out quickly and easily. A happy environment.
I was given a cuppa following my friends request.
There were no bells or alarms going off, so nice + peaceful. All staff extremely helpful. Nothing too much trouble, even if I was interrupting another job they were doing.
We are grateful the care and attention that is given to my mum each day.
Staff are all excellent and helpful.
My mother has now been in Riverside as a resident for over a year. She has settled in well and enjoys the company of the staff other residents, and the activities provided. The staff are very caring and mindful of residents needs all areas of Riverside are kept clean and tidy and I would recommend Riverside to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review
Everyone at the home is warm and friendly and very approachable. The carers all go over and above to look after my mam and although busy spend time chatting to make sure she is engaged and not just sad watching tv. The cleaners and laundry all do a great job. Myself and my sister are really happy with the care my mam is getting and find it easy to get in touch if we are worried about anything.

Do feel hospital bag or prep for waiting i.e don't let the resident go to hospital in a night shift make sure dressing sent with ambulance or carer goes with ambulance where dementia involved.
Thank you for reviewing Riverside House regarding your concerns about hospital bags. I completely agree with you and will ensure that learning takes place.
The bedroom is uncomfortably hot and we have had to purchase an electric fan. The handyman is excellent - prompt and very helpful and will do anything for you. The activity co-ordinator is also excellent and extremely friendly and organised and fun.
I am pleased with everything I have seen and it is great my aunt feels safe now.
Many thanks to all the staff.

From the minute I entered the home I felt "at home". The staff have been great during my stay. I initially went in as respite for three weeks, but have decided to stay. I feel safe, the food is great and I'm very happy.
Thank you for your kind words, we are very pleased to have you.
I can honestly say that my uncle going into Riverside care home was the best move our family made. Instantly the worry and pressure were lifted with the confidence we had that the staff would care and he would be safe. On arrival we were greeted and made so welcome all aspects of the home's procedures were explained in a clear friendly manner and assured that if we had any concerns or were unsure of anything we would just need to ask. Every member of staff introduced themselves to us and my uncle explaining their role within the home and chatting to my uncle. The management of the home is second to none with the entertainment and activities well planned and thought out. Nothing is a trouble and we can rest easy with confidence that our uncle is being cared for 100%. Outstanding.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
Staff are so kind and caring when relating to the residents. The personal histories of the residents are respected along with their present activity. I feel the home gives so much of a sense of security as possible for someone who needs to be looked after, whether they acknowledge that need or not. The activities and lounge set-up provide stimulation and company for my mother.

Riverside House was a life changing decision for my grandad. Initially, I was so worried about my grandad going into care, about trusting strangers with his support, I never needed to panic. They are were like family to him, everyone was so lovely. My grandad had a stroke last Christmas, he was bed bound and we had little hope of him walking again, or getting his strength back. He had no motivation to go on in life. Riverside made such an effort from the start, to involve him in activities, he came back to us and built his strength back with the help of the exercises every day in the group sessions. He went from respite with a view to a permanent space to going home walking and happy in 7 months. I could never thank the staff enough for what they have done for him. He was very reluctant to accept support but they built up trust with him. They involve the community and have so many visitors, performers, Dogs and nursery children visit weekly. Good mental health is at the forefront of the care.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review and it is wonderful hear that the teams hard work and dedication continues to make such a difference.

A brief message to express thanks to the manager and your team for making Mam's move to Riverside House such a success: long may that success continue! From our earliest enquiries, the team has convinced us that Riverside House is the best place for Mam to be. We worked with the team, and other relevant professionals, towards the move to Riverside House and, having prepared the ground, we couldn't have asked for a more helpful response in the run up to, and immediately following, admission. It is still early days, but the signs so far are very encouraging and give us considerable comfort that Mam is in safe hands. If there is ever anything you think we should know, or help or advice we can provide to assist in the care and support you and your team provide to Mam, please don't hesitate to let me know. Please share our appreciation with your team. We look forward to future visits and to voicing our appreciation more directly to your team.

This care home is superb! They consistently go above and beyond to provide the residents with varied, quality activities to keep them stimulated. This has been particularly so in their work with their dementia choir - the work that has gone in, and the results are amazing.

Staff regularly engage with residents without prompts. Residents look happy and fulfilled. Plenty of activities and tea/biscuits. Out of 4 times I have been there have been activities and residents enjoying themselves. This is my first-hand experience of visiting a residential facility and it is always a very positive one. My mother's room is spacious and the bathroom large and she engages happily with staff.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. I am very pleased with the experience you have had.
