I was very happy with how my mam was looked after at Harwood Court. All staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and caring. During her time there, she was always well looked after, which gave me great comfort. I would have no hesitation of recommending Harwood Court.
Thank you so much. It was our great pleasure. We do take pride in our staff attitudes and their willingness to go the extra mile. I will be most happy to alert the team to your most appreciated review. Paul
Thank you :)
Thank you, we are most grateful for your comments and rating. I will ensure the manager and whole team are aware of your kind review.
The building and gardens were clean and well maintained, the laundry was immaculate and prepared quickly for the residents. There was a great choice of freshly cooked food and staff would willingly accommodate the resident's needs where possible.
Overall, there was a great team spirit making for a welcoming atmosphere, we felt reassured that our mam was safe and well looked after 24/7.
The Chaplin visited mam in hospital a number of times before she passed away and this was a great comfort to her.
Thank you, Linda. I will ensure that our manager and his team are made aware of your generous review. I am so pleased that her final home was everything you and she wanted and that our in house Chaplin was a comfort when needed, Paul
My relative was in Harwood Court for just over 2 years. In this time, her care was exemplary. She was always treated with dignity and respect. Staff could always be found if needed, and their interactions with family were as good. The homes care of my mother in her dying days was amazing. They could not do enough for me or her. Their management of the moment of death and the aftermath can never be represented in words: it was perfect.
Thank you, Richard. I am most pleased to read that the family were contended and comforted by the actions of our team spanning the period of the two years but most poignantly at the time of the last of our acts. I will ensure the whole team learns of your review. Paul
Mum was a resident for a year, and we found Harwood to be welcoming and serene. Staff retention is good and provides consistency of care, which is compassionate and dignified, especially during end of life. The food is freshly prepared on site and always appetising. The activities of late have been excellent, but were lacking before the current activity manager. The safety and security of residents is good, but consequently can be difficult to get in. The residents and family meetings were beneficial and acted upon.
Thank you, Penny - we are most grateful for your thoughtful and most kind review
The care received by mother has never fallen short of outstanding. I absolutely cannot fault Harwood Court in any respect and my mother is very happy to live there. All staff are welcoming and friendly and all residents that I have seen are so happy as Mum is. I believe the fees are in line with other care homes in the area.
We are delighted by your review. I will make it my business when visiting the service to ensure all employees and the management learn of your satisfaction. The manager and his team work very hard to deliver a service that meets not just the regulations but that further stands up to the 'Mum' test. It is gratifying to learn that in your eyes, we are meeting the 'mum' test fully.
The care is very good. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is very good, tasty and plentiful.
We are most grateful for your positive review. I will ensure our manager and excellent team are made aware
Has a real feel-good atmosphere among all staff including management, carers, cooks and even the maintenance man. Long may it continue.
Thank you so much for your review. The staff are over the moon that you are happy with the quality of care received. We pride ourselves on our home and the staff work extremely hard to improve the quality of life for all our residents. Thank you again for this kind review, it means the world to us all.
Mam has lived here for over three years. It's a lovely home, everyone is so caring. A wonderful community - so friendly and homely.
I first came upon Harwood Court when my mother became a resident in June 2023. Prior to that, her health was failing and a number of consecutive falls meant regular visits to A&E. I had never experienced life in a care home before my mother's inception and although it was difficult at first, visiting and then leaving her, not knowing how she was coping with the new surroundings, it soon became apparent she was settling in really well. The carers are very friendly and attentive and always have a smile on their faces. Nothing is too much for them. Her room is always clean and tidy, bright and cheerful. The management have always made themselves available and have been very helpful when required. In short, my mother is very settled and happy with her surroundings and the care she is receiving. I too am extremely happy and have confidence in the way she's being cared for at this time of her life. Thank you to each and every member of staff.
My mother-in-law became a resident of Harwood Court over a year ago. At that point, her health was failing and she had suffered from ongoing falls that had generally led to almost routine visits. Although being naturally anxious at first, she quickly became comfortable and confident within her care setting and the improvement to her health and overall demeanour was a joy to see. Without exception, each and every member of staff have proved to be very helpful and friendly. We cannot fault the Management who have always made themselves available and gone that extra mile to ensure that all needs are met. Her room is always clean and tidy, and she is afforded the privacy and dignity of having her own private toilet and wash basin. The staff continue to support my Mother-in-law in every possible way. From the everyday needs of dressing, bathing, and mobility to a weekly visit to the hairdressers and nail bar, a highlight in her diary. Thank you everyone.
My dad is currently on respite in Harwood Court. I can't recommend this home enough. The staff are extremely respectful to words my dad and friendly. Nothing is a bother. The home has a very homely feel. Highly recommend it.

After a week of respite, he asked to stay permanently.
He passed away on 30th June 2023 in the home.
The staff here are superb and made Dad feel like a member of a bigger family. His care was brilliant and he really loved everyone at Harwood Court.
I would certainly recommend this care home and believe that Dad's life was extended as a result of living here.
Thank you for your review; I will share it with the team. Your dad was such a huge part of our home and helped shape so many parts of what we do here at Harwood Court; setting our tables daily ready for our lunch service. It was a privilege to take care of your dad and the whole team felt so much grief when he left his home for the last time, he will never be forgotten.
On the occasions, I visit the home I have been impressed with all I have encountered. Through my involvement and connection with the local methodist church, I have a long standing connection - the main advantage I feel is the size of the home which appeals to most.
Thank you for your lovely comment it really does make a difference to me and the team to see that our hard work and dedication to providing a high-quality service is seen in such a positive light. The home has recently undergone a refurbishment and I am pleased to say it has turned out beautifully...
My father was taken to hospital in May and was in and out after that at the end of August he was put on end of life. We fought to get him home and eventually succeeded. He was delighted! He spent his last week and a half being so well cared for and loved (as he has always been). I could not praise all the staff highly enough - a wonderful home.
Thank you for the review; I will share it with the team. Your dad was such a huge part of the home and helped shape so many parts of what we do, helping design the garden areas, getting involved in recruitment, the menu planning and not forgetting his wonderful letters - we miss them so much. It...
It is such a relief to know that my Gran is safe and cared for. Every time I visit there is such a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The residents are given quality care and included in making decisions about what they do with their time, both day to day and in the long term. I am constantly reassured that the decision to move here was definitely for the best. Thank you to everyone at Harwood Court.

My Mum is so happy living here, which makes me very happy. The level of care is excellent and the residents all seem very happy. The staff are fantastic and there are a lot of activities for the residents so they don't get bored. Fantastic staff and care home.

I am so pleased you are happy with your mum's care and she definitely does enjoy the activities.
