My mother has been in Meadow Park Care Home for two years now. I have to say the care she gets is second to none. I feel she is safe and very well looked after. The staff are caring and always cheerful. There have been two special events recently, an Oscar day and a fifties and sixties day, great work, thank you.

My friend is quite happy here but quite lonely at times she said she feels isolated when in her room she does not like to mix or sit in the communal lounge. The staff are all very nice but always busy, she really likes the food and is complimentary about the staff

My mother has been here since February, and the care and attention she has received have been amazing. She is one of their oldest residents, but they are helping her to join in with everything. They always keep me informed of any issues. Totally recommend Meadow Park. An excellent team, and I would be happy to make a recommendation to anyone who asked me.

The person I know is extremely good at their job in the care and attention that is given to the people they care for. In my opinion, it's very hard to define one person because they all do a wonderful job. Nothing is ever too much for your staff to do. It's a pity the chef is not included because she is a great cook and the food she provides is excellent.

My mum is currently a resident at Meadow Park and she speaks very highly of the staff she has even nominated two night shift staff for how lovely they are with her. My mum is only 59 years old and making the decision for her to be in full-time care was the most heartbreaking decision to make however knowing that she is in Meadow Park make us as a family feel at ease as we know she is getting the care she needs

I work in a domiciliary optician and have visited Barchester Meadow Park Care Home on countless occasions as a healthcare professional. Every time you visit it feels like the residents home, that you are visiting your grandparents in their own hose, not like a care home establishment. The staff are always professional but approachable, friendly and loving to the residents in their care, although they are always busy, they always have time for you. My mam has vascular dementia and when we could no longer care for her at home, this was the only place I felt I could trust with her care. It took a while for her to settle into the home but its lovely seeing the updates on the social media pages with all the activities they have. I could never thank the staff enough for the love and kindness they've shown my mam during lockdown. Its been a tough year but I know she's well cared for here. From the bottom of our hearts as a family, many thanks to you all.

Fantastic care home, Mam was taken into care and this was a very upsetting time for us. I am very happy with the care home and the staff are great with Mam's needs. They made us feel very comfortable knowing Mam is being cared for properly, management staff are fantastic too, very happy.

I would highly recommend Meadow Park as a 5-star care home. My wife was admitted into the home for a respite stay, which was a very difficult decision to make for the family. The reassurance is given from the home, care and dedication my wife received whilst staying there were outstanding! My wife has now come home and only speaks highly of the staff for there upmost person-centred care! Fantastic home, and we most definitely use it again. Thank you to all of the staff and management; we can't thank you all enough.

Meet the Team (6)

Hi, my name is Julie, and I am the Senior General Manager here at Meadow Park.
I am proud to say that I have been part of the care sector for almost thirty years. I began my journey in care as a care assistant at the tender age of eighteen years. I have worked both day and night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays and enjoyed all aspects of delivering high-quality care. I progressed from care assistant to senior care assistant and then from a unit manager to a home manager.
Twenty years as a home manager enabled me to gain a plethora of knowledge and experience in the care sector. I have achieved many qualifications and continue to learn daily.
I remain humble as a manager of a care service and I am privileged to be entrusted with the care of those we support at Meadow Park. I strive to enable and empower every resident living at the home.

Hi, my name is Jemma Stewart and I am delighted to be the Deputy General Manager in Meadow Park.
My background is twenty years of working within the care home sector both residential and nursing environments. My proudest moment so far is achieving the Care Home Assistant Practitioner qualification within the Nursing Home environment allowing me to progress to become a Deputy Manager within a Residential Dementia environment. I have a Level 5 HND in Health and Social Care with a Distinction.

Hi, my name is Mandie, and I am the Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator here at Meadow Park.
I am delighted to be part of the team at Meadow Park. I have worked in the care sector since 2005, both as a care assistant and a lifestyle coordinator. I have taken family breaks to raise my children and care for family members, always returning to care homes.
The best part of my role is that every day is different, and getting to know residents' personal biographies and their passions is rewarding and humbling. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. You will find me at the touchline watching the children playing football, and I spend hours walking my cocker spaniel.

Hi, my name is Amanda Bell known as Mandy, I am the Head Chef here at Meadow Park. I am passionate about providing wholesome nutritious food for our residents and bringing a wealth of experience to the home. I have worked in the hospitality sector for over twenty-five years.
I am originally from Guernsey and came to Northumberland 35 years ago for a week and never left. I am married with two children and have recently become a ‘nana’. I look forward to welcoming you to our home and enjoying our dining experience.

Hi, My name is Susan and I am the Head of Housekeeping here at Meadow Park. I have worked for Barchester for over 17 years and have worked in various roles throughout the homes in the region from care, hospitality, and laundry before becoming Head of Housekeeping at Meadow Park in 2019. I enjoy my job and strive to work to the best of my ability on a daily basis, keeping our home environment clean and homely for us all to enjoy alongside the team.
I am kept very busy at work and at home and in my spare time I enjoy taking care of my granddaughter. I look forward to meeting you when you visit our home.

Hi, my name is Tony and I am the Maintenance Manager here at Meadow Park. I have worked at Meadow Park since 2013, but have been doing building maintenance for 15 years before this. My job in the care home is to ensure that residents, staff and the public are in a safe environment.
Outside of work I enjoy cycling, running, playing and watching football.
