I cannot express enough the confidence I have in leaving my mother in the care of the manager and her marvellous staff. From the first time we met with them their genuine concern and dedication to the welfare of the residents was clearly apparent. Every member of staff appear to be happy in their job and they have supported myself and mam at a very sad and difficult time. My mother has always had a fear of "going in a home", now she requests it and feels safe there. If this becomes a permanent arrangement I will have no hesitation about feel relieved that she will be in such capable hands.

I was in hospital before I came to Wansbeck, the manager came to see me in hospital, I knew from meeting her that I would want to go and live at Wansbeck. The staff have made me feel so welcome and the manager brings my paper and lemonade in for me everyday, even on the weekend when it is her time off. I am always asked if there is anything I want or if I would like to go out with the staff. I feel safe here and everyone has been great. They all deserve a medal for what they do for us.

My father has been a resident for nearly 4 years now. I feel that he is treated with compassion and respect. The staff keep me informed of any problems and we are included in any decisions about changes in his medication etc. The staff are always very pleasant and cheerful.
