My mum has only been in Woodhorn Park for 6 weeks. What a brilliant place.
All the staff are so caring and helpful. All my mum's needs are quickly identified and addressed. She was registered quickly with doctors and a dentist, assessed for Parkinson's and the falls clinic was contacted for an assessment.
She has a bed sensor now.


Nothing is too much trouble for the team of dedicated staff. They are always aware and all information is passed on. It's a longer travel than the last care home but what an improvement. I am glad my mum is somewhere she is being well looked after and cared for properly. Such a relief to find a suitable care home. I can't thank the staff enough, they are brilliant.

My father has been in Barchester Woodhorn Park Care Home for three weeks respite. He has been treated with respect and dignity, always full of praise for the staff. When the family have been visiting, they are always offered a drink. Very clean, cheerful and respected.

My husband is only 58 with rapid Alzheimers. I looked around probably 20 homes in my local area - I live 8 miles away (there are a lot of others closer) but as soon as I walked into here I got a happy, relaxed feeling and knew this was the right place. Since he arrived, the staff have been outstanding
and made both him and myself feel relaxed. I couldn't have asked for any better - the staff have gone above and beyond to help him settle in. I have told everyone about this home. Thanks.

My mother became a resident in Barchester Woodhorn Park Care Home after a stay in the hospital and she realised she could no longer manage at home even with 4 carer visits per day. She needed someone to be there 24 hours a day. She is so happy as she can be - she is eating better and she gets on well
with just about everyone who works there. She has told me the carers are all 'lovely'. It is less worrying for the family. If my mother is unwell, we receive a call and the GP is contacted. Overall, my mother and the rest of the family are happy with the care she is receiving and we would recommend Barchester Woodhorn Park Care Home to others.

My uncle stayed over Christmas and New Year as he was lonely at home after the death of his wife. I must say this transformed him into a new man and was much happier in himself and this is all due to care and management.

Being in this care home has made a huge difference to mams life. She now has a smile on her face and likes having the company around her. Excellent care. Pleasant willing staff. My mother is well cared for in clean pleasant surroundings. A good choice of well prepared food is provided on a daily basis. There is a good choice of activities for my mother to participate in if she wishes. Any appointments for hospitals etc are taken care

My aim is to ensure residents, staff, families and visitors all feel they are in a caring, welcoming environment and being supported by every member of our team.


I began my career as a Home Administrator then progressed to Commercial manager within Woodhorn Park and have gained experience and qualifications to progress to my current role. Barchester has a high standard of care and a superior lifestyle delivered throughout the company, and I endeavour to deliver those same values in our home. I always enjoy spending time with residents and their families and am always available for a chat about our home, staff, services and most importantly, our residents.
