My Sister Gillian has been in care for a couple of months. She has really settled in well. The staff and care she receives is excellent. They treat her with dignity and I am really pleased with how she is being cared for. She takes part in the activities there. Good food and drinks, very clean and the staff are friendly and look after her.

My mother-in-law moved into Meifod in September of last year after having a fall and not being able to cope on her own at home. She has settled in very well, the management and staff are always very friendly and approachable. The home is always clean and well maintained, communication is brilliant and there's always entertainment and activities for those who want to participate.

My Dad has only been at the property for a few weeks, but he has settled so well, which is a big relief. All of the staff at the home have been so welcoming and helpful; they have made everything better. All of the rooms are well looked after, and the memory box on the outside of their rooms is a lovely touch. Nothing is too much trouble by any of the staff.

There is a lot of interaction and activities ongoing.

Hardest decision I ever had to make looking for a home for my mam, Glenys, whose dementia was deteriorating rapidly. My mam moved in Nov 2025 not long after my dad and her brother passed away. I have always lived with my parents so letting anyone take responsibility of her care was such a massive one, but was one that was taken out of my hands in the end. My mam passed away this week after 5 short but happy months there. The care from every single person was second to none, the meals were suited to mams needs which changed during the last few weeks, she was spotlessly clean and tidy. I cannot thank them all enough for everything including supporting me through the worst 5 months ever. I will be forever in their debt. It turned out to be the best decision. The staff even kept popping to see my mam before and after their shifts to check on her in her last few days. This is a very special place with special people working there i just hope its still open when I need it thank you all xXx

My father moved into Meifod 2 weeks ago having been in hospital for an extensive period. The care that he's received to date has been excellent. It's a family we feel reassured that all of his care needs are being met, and that staff are managing his needs, and linking in with Doctor, Occupational Health, Audiology etc. On our behalf thank you for everything.

Since my mum moved to Meiford she is much happier. The staff have been fabulous with her and really made her come out of herself. She is eating much better and socialising. She loves her little room and feels very at home. It's the best I have seen her in years. She is very well looked after.

My sister came to Meiford in June 2024, I was concerned about leaving her, as I had been her carer for many years. My concerns soon disappeared seeing how well she fitted in. It is like she has a new family and is being cared for in a professional and caring home. I am always made welcome and kept up to date by manager and staff. I highly recommend Meiford.
