The manager, Deb bent over backwards to help us arrange transport for Mum for an urgent operation in hospital. We can't thank her enough.
Thank you for your kind review, it is really wonderful to have these comments from families
My husband has been a resident at the Whitehouse for four years and has received excellent care. It has given me peace of mind and I am very grateful to all the staff.
Since moving she had become more socially engaging and is interacting well with staff and (patients) residents helping in reducing isolation. Staff are kind respectful and attentive and approachable.
Knowing shes is safe gives family reassurance and peace of mind. Debbie the manager is amazing helpful caring and supportive.
Thank you so much for your review your mother loves living here and is enjoying life!
After an extended period spent in hospital, my mother moved into The White House with a view to permanent care.
Initially, mother was rather nervous and insecure. However, these feelings soon changed to feelings of beeing safe, cared for and being valued as an individual. Mother is not slow in voicing her opinions and staff always respond positively to her wishes. No matter how busy staff are, they always respond with a smile and kindness. This includes the Home Manager and her admin, who are so generous with their time.
Throughout the environment, there is evidence of good practice. This includes visual prompts/displays to promote understanding.
Whenever I visit my mother, she is usually engaged in some social activity, which has had a positive effect on her emotional wellbeing.
I am so grateful that mother enjoys such care.
I am always made to feel welcome and part of the Whitehouse family and I am able to enjoy some of the many fun activities that are organised for the residents and their loved ones.
The Whitehouse is Dad's home, a place of well-being, safety and familiarity where Dad trusts the team around him. Knowing that Dad is so well cared for by such brilliant professionals gives me enormous peace of mind.
In the short while that my husband has been in care, we have no complaints, as he has been looked after and cared for very well.
Your husband is a joy to care for; a true gentleman.
We met with the manager at mums home when it was decided that mum needed immediate respite care due to loss of mobility due to meds change. This was organised quickly. The staff where very welcoming and put us at our ease. Mum was very happy with the level of care she received from all the care staff, and soon started to feel better. I would definitely recommend The Whitehouse and hope and hope that if needed again they have availability.
I was very impressed with this care home. Management and staff were excellent. Very homely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you we aim to please and your words are very kind
The care my mother has received is excellent. The staff are so patient and caring in what can sometimes be difficult circumstances. I am not there at mealtimes but Mum tells me the food is good. There is always someone on hand in the office to discuss any concerns.
Thank you all once again for giving my dad the TLC he needed.
Thank you so much for the positive review. Your dad was amazing, it was a pleasure.
Amazing home. Amazing staff. Lovely care home for my Nan knowing someone is there 24/7 round the clock, the care given is 100%, my nan loves her room and has settled here. Her carers are so thoughtful and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble, everyone works so hard.
I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care my grandmother receives at The Whitehouse. The staff are not only professional and attentive but also genuinely friendly, compassionate and kind. They go above and beyond to ensure that she feels comfortable and respected. The facilities are always clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant and safe environment. The activities and social events are very good. Overall, The Whitehouse has given me peace of mind, knowing that my grandmother is in such good hands. I highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be treated with the utmost dignity, respect and care.
The home is well-run with good staff and management. My father is well looked after. If he requires a doctor, they will get a doctor straight away and always let the family know what's going on with him. Residents have plenty of activities to keep them occupied.
I visited numerous care homes in November 2023 to find a suitable home for my mum. As soon as I entered The Whitehouse I knew it was where I wanted her to be. The care from the staff is excellent. It really is a very special place. There is a homely atmosphere as soon as you enter, and the residents are stimulated and cared for and are extremely well looked after.
Whitehouse Care Home has such a lovely family feel to it. The manager, deputy manager and all the staff take very good care of my father-in-law. Nothing is too much trouble and they hold regular activities, including days out for the residents. It’s peace of mind to know that they are only a phone call away and regularly keep us updated. They are professional whilst empathetic and caring towards all residents and their families.
Kind, polite and patient staff, professional and friendly manner at all times and a genuinely nice and safe space for anyone put under their care, the cleanliness is spot on and the activities they do with the residents are not only fun and interactive but healthy as well, I would highly recommend!
Residents all look happy and are encouraged to be themselves and be as independent as possible.
Plenty going on and just a generally nice feel to the home. Unlike some, it is a 'home'.
My sister received excellent care in the home. The staff went above and beyond all our expectations. They also looked after us as a family and no requests we made were too much trouble. Social activities played a big part and everyone was encouraged to take part if they could. The food was excellent and nutritious. The home was always kept clean and tidy.
My Mother has lived at the home for over 18 months. The care she receives daily is so good. All staff are caring, friendly and helpful. The environment is happy and there are varied daily activities that cater to all residents. Am updated regularly on my Mother's care plan. I cannot recommend highly enough.
The best care for my Nana. The staff are amazing. Always so much to do for the residents. Clean bedroom. Clothes washed. Management is also amazing. Never had a problem and always recommend this beautiful home.
