I have visited this establishment for many years as a Paramedic.
The staff are super friendly, and caring and most of all show a great deal of empathy and support for their residents.
It is spotlessly clean. The residents' rooms are warm and have lots of their own personal items.
The food has always been of an impressive standard and of course, they make a cracking cup of tea!

The manager has been there for years and both she and her staff treat the residents as part of their own family!

Mum moved into The Whitehouse at the end of October after being diagnosed with mixed Dementia. I must admit I was nervous about how she would adapt as she had lived in her own home for over 50 years and was always fiercely independent. I needn't worry! She settled in amazingly quickly, something I attribute to the kind and caring staff and the general homely and welcoming atmosphere that you feel as soon as you walk through the door.

I have visited my friend at Whitehouse for nearly a year. She's always happy when I see her. The staff are amazing. The love and care they provide is 100%. My friend was put on end-of-life care back in January, however she got better and is now back to herself. I'm sure the care from staff brought her back. Fantastic care home.

Reply from Debbie Davies, Manager at Whitehouse

We are so pleased we are doing well in what we are trained to do, showing compassion and care to our residents and we love to see them responding back from end-of-life care.

I feel that my mum has been well looked after and cared for during the past four years. She has always loved her food and has never complained about it. The staff try hard to keep residents entertained and I think this is enjoyed by all. During the pandemic, the staff have gone above and beyond their duties and I am extremely grateful for what they have done for Mum.

My mother spent the last 3 months of her life at the Whitehouse. She was in the final stages of dementia and required much assistance, spending the last weeks of her life in bed.

The manager and deputy manager were very helpful, right from day one, and I felt they were really trying to do their best for both my mother and myself.

The staff were caring and attentive looking after her personal needs and involving clinical personnel as needed. They were also very kind to me, keeping me well informed and involving me in decision making about my mother's care.

I always felt welcome at the Whitehouse and I was able to spend as much time with my mother as I wanted. The staff brought me many cups of tea over the hours I spent there and I really appreciated that they cared about me, too.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Whitehouse. It may not be the most modern building with the plushest furnishings but the management and care staff more than make up for that.

I pop in from time to time to speak to the residents and they really enjoy it. The staff are wonderful with them all they are always trying to help. Each time I have been in and chatted it’s always been different residents as some days they want to chat others they don’t, the environment is lovely it’s like one big family there.

The garden area is amazing how they have the old Wrexham town on the walls and a safe garden I found the whole atmosphere was great staff very helpful and approachable along with management they can’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend, it’s a brilliant home and they all work so hard.

Very good care home, good staff and my husband feels safe, secure and looked after.

Only concern is laundry which takes a long time to be returned or does not return at all.

My mother has only been in Whitehouse for a short while but the improvement in her general health and well-being is absolutely astonishing. My brother and I put this improvement down to the wonderful care and attention she is receiving from all staff at Whitehouse.

The family of my dear father, cannot praise the manager, duty manager and numerous members of excellent carers enough.

After moving to a much larger room my dad has settled in much better. One thing is the family have had to ensure that they contact us if he has any falls at anytime of the day/night. Needs decorating to freshen up.

Whitehouse management and staff are highly qualified, hard working and extremely kind to each resident. As soon as you walk through the front door there is a "buzz"! Every resident matters which reflects in the enthusiasm of the staff. Home is well decorated with appropriate pictures/drawings on the walls. My mother is always talking about one or the other, certainly stimulates her. Activities programme is very varied and fun!

My dad has been at The Whitehouse a while now and I must say things have improved a lot, a lot of things have changed (for the better) my dad always seems very happy and content. I can't visit much due to my location but I know he is safe.

I quite often speak to my dad on the phone, he always tells me what's going on. I visited in May and he was at his best, the staff were all lovely, everywhere was clean and tidy, and they are speaking about getting the garden expanded which will be great. Thank you to you all.

My mum has been at The Whitehouse for many months now, now I have got a clearer picture I would like to leave a review. I was very nervous about my mum going into a home, but I must say The Whitehouse staff and management have really made the move so easy. The care, well from what I witness, you can't fault, so caring and respecting.

Secondly management are very approachable, nothing is too much trouble, always go over and beyond. I am very happy that my mum is settled and treated well. No issues.

I have recently lost my lovely dad and my mum is at the Whitehouse. They have A plus staff and they are always willing to listen. The staff have helped me and it was my fathers funeral and a member of staff accompanied mum to the funeral and considering she didn't know anybody she became one of us, it is difficult to explain how good she really was. Cannot fault the Whitehouse and they are very approachable and very caring. I am happy with mums bedroom and please she ishere.
