At Parkside House Care Home, staff aim to provide residents with a high standard of care that enhances their quality of life in a friendly and relaxing environment.

It respects everyone's right to choose and supports the privacy, dignity and independence of each resident.

There is a separate area for residents with a diagnosis of dementia, with its own sitting and dining area allowing the care team to focus on specific individual needs. Respite and day care services are also practised.

Parkside is a converted Victorian house, with gardens in front of the home and sitting areas on the patio in the rear, where there is also a sensory garden where residents can enjoy being outside in a safe and enclosed area.

They have a small separate building in the grounds of Parkside House with its own kitchen where residents who benefit from the support and services provided by carers, laundry and kitchen staff can also enjoy a level of independence while benefiting from living in in a secure environment.

Parkside House is a very short distance from the Penarth seafront and pier and in easy walking distance from the town centre with its many cafes, restaurants and shops.

The care home provides an excellent service, for which they should be commended. The pandemic has been challenging, but the staff all coped very well. Nothing is ever too much trouble at Parkside. The manager and staff always give 100%. My friend is well supported and in safe hands. Thank you, Parkside

My mum came to Parkside originally for a 1-weeks respite. She has since returned as a permanent resident, following an excellent first stay. I can't praise Parkside enough - all the staff are absolutely lovely, and nothing is ever too much trouble. They have great activities on a daily basis. Residents
are treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The manager and her team are all incredibly professional and experts in their field. Everything is well organised, and Covid rules are strictly abided by.

My late aunt came into Parkside when her dementia didn't allow her to return home. We live abroad and felt uneasy at first being as we couldn't see her in person, however, every time we called all staff - even with a 5-hour time difference - were excellent. We enjoyed being able to speak with my aunt
and she expressed how happy she was at living there. The manager answered any of my concerns regarding her well being and, even after her death, helped our family get through the difficult times. I would highly recommend anyone considering this home for your family.

I visit my friend at Parkside every week. Always treated with respect. Wonderful staff, lovely management. Spotlessly clean. Meals presented beautifully. Always treated to a tray of tea and cakes. Cannot fault this home.

Parkside was always my first choice as the home for my mother when her needs exceeded my ability to continue caring for her. My mother is now part of the warm, caring Parkside family and I feel confident about sharing the care and responsibility of her needs with them. The staff continue to involve

The staff are absolutely wonderful. A very warm, friendly welcoming home. Parkside is kept very clean and tidy. The staff are always at hand to help in any way. My mother is very well cared for as are all the other residents.

I am extremely happy with the staff who are unfailingly cheerful, helpful and caring. The home is small so possibly not as many facilities as some but it retains a homely atmosphere that is very pleasant. Both food and cleanliness are to a high standard.

My mother has been a resident at Parkside House Care Home for about 30months. I visit her about 3 times a week. My mother is in good spirits virtually all the time and is quite content. The staff are always helpful, cheerful and polite and with a good standard of hygiene. On rare occasions, I have witnessed
problems with residents which have been dealt with quickly and efficiently. Entertainment and staff participation is good. Overall I'm happy with which Parkside House Care Home has to offer my mother. If any problems occur with my mother either my brother or myself are promptly informed.
