I have a family member who is a resident of this care home and I am very satisfied with the care they receive. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to both the residents and their family members.

Parkside House is an extremely efficient and friendly care home. The whole house is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff are kind, well organised and efficient. I would certainly recommend the home.

We visit our sister in law on a fairly frequent basis. Our experience has been a very professional, very caring and compassionate care home, that treats its residents with the utmost of respect and dignity. The staff are always pleasant and courteous and appear to enjoy the job they do and really care about the residents. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. As visitors, we are always made very welcome and always offered a cup of tea and biscuits. The ambience of Parkside House Care Home is brilliant and serene.

After suffering a stroke we tried caring for Mum at home, but the severe anxiety she suffered as a result of the stroke made this impossible and extremely stressful for both Mum and my family, and therefore after an agonising discussion with Mum the difficult decision was made to put Mum into a home.

I need not have worried - the staff at Parkside Care Home have been wonderful, Mum grows better and more independent all the time - from little things like patience and caring, to coming up with ideas like a whiteboard in her room for me to note down when I'm coming back (and therefore stop her getting anxious about me) the staff and managers have helped not only Mum but also myself - in once again being able to spend quality time with each other.

I have no hesitation in recommending Parkside Care Home (and have already done so). Parkside and all the staff have helped Mum get back to enjoying life again - and therefore making me happy that the decision we made was the right one

My auntie seems to be very well cared for at Parkside. Her personal appearance is important to the staff. They help her do her hair especially when she's planning on going out for the afternoon. As a visitor, staff seem very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. My aunt is able to offer us a drink as if we were visiting her at home. She usually enjoys the food provided and seems happy and cheerful.

I find all of the staff at Parkside House Care Home to be very professional and helpful. They've made the transition of my father living with me to now being at the home a seamless one. Dad is now calm with no agitation. The home is always clean and tidy and most important for me is that it feels like home and not an institution.

Ever since we have managed to secure my mother a position at Parkside House Care Home we have witnessed a massive improvement in her appearance and demeanour she is happier, cleaner and her health seems to have got better, the dementia symptoms have greatly improved and she is less confused. Her overall appearance and manner are much better a credit to the care and involvement of the team at Parkside.

A rambling Victorian building set in lovely grounds. What makes this place tick is the genuine love, care and consideration from all of the staff. I could make some minor criticisms but they are very minor when placed in context against the above comment.

My aunt was at this residential home for approximately six years until falling ill and needing nursing. We were disappointed that she had to move she was very happy and well cared for. The staff add the personal touch to what is a very successful residential home. The icing on the cake was even though she had left Parkside, when she died (recently) two of the senior staff attended the funeral, we appreciated that.

I am very pleased with the care that my mother has had for several years at Parkside House. The staff do a wonderful job coping with residents, many of whom are very challenging. They are patient and kind at all times, they are a great example of outstanding care.

On my visits to my sister, I found the staff to be friendly and caring. The residents including my sister appear happy and well looked after, and there are plenty of activities. They are given the menu (verbally) for the following day and a hairdresser comes in once a week to do the ladies hair. I quite enjoy my visit as there is a welcoming atmosphere.
