David has worked in the care sector for 14 years after being made redundant from an electronics company after 18 years. David began working as a care assistant in mental health rehabilitation. and felt he had a natural flare for this kind of work and quickly set about obtaining his qualifications. Within five years, he had completed his QCF 5 in Health and Social Care and progressed to the role of registered manager.
During the following years, David worked with people with acquired brain injuries and later learning disabilities. After a short break from the managerial role, David joined Hafod as a senior care assistant. Since joining Hafod in 2018, David has worked his way back through to the position of manager. David finds working and supporting residents with dementia very rewarding and making a difference in their lives.
Outside of work, David is married with two children and a proud owner of two dogs; Louis and Bella. He is also a keen reader of autobiographies and spends most of his evenings reading or watching sports. A very avid Spurs supporter.
Rhian joined Hafod in January 2020 and has worked at Plas y Garn since October 2021.
