To encourage regular visits, relatives have the opportunity to purchase a key fob so that they can pop by as they please. The home are happy for relatives and friends to join in with activities too, if they wish.

Job Title: Home Manager
Joined: 2018
David has worked in the care sector for 14 years after being made redundant from an electronics company after 18 years. David began working as a care assistant in mental health rehabilitation. and felt he had a natural flare for this kind of work and quickly set about obtaining his qualifications. Within five years, he had completed his QCF 5 in Health and Social Care and progressed to the role of registered manager.
During the following years, David worked with people with acquired brain injuries and later learning disabilities. After a short break from the managerial role, David joined Hafod as a senior care assistant. Since joining Hafod in 2018, David has worked his way back through to the position of manager. David finds working and supporting residents with dementia very rewarding and making a difference in their lives.
Outside of work, David is married with two children and a proud owner of two dogs; Louis and Bella. He is also a keen reader of autobiographies and spends most of his evenings reading or watching sports. A very avid Spurs supporter.

Rhian joined Hafod in January 2020 and has worked at Plas y Garn since October 2021.
Rhian's background includes working as a mental health nurse in Norfolk, which covered a range of settings from adults to children and adolescents. Rhian worked for the NHS, working anywhere from prisons to A&E. Before moving to Wales, Rhian was working as a matron in a large state-run boarding school, working in the houses and manning the medical centre.
The team I work with at Plas y Garn are incredibly welcoming and straight away made me feel part of the team when I joined. It's clear they have a true passion for what they do and make working at Plas y Garn a pleasure.
