I and my family would like to express our sincere thanks for the care of our family member. We have found the staff to be exemplary in the execution of their duties, kindness, patience and understanding. The environment is always very clean and tidy and their attention to detail and health and safety issues constant. I have no hesitation in recommending this pleasant, friendly and professional home from home to everyone. Thank you for all your valued kindness and care above and beyond your expected duties.

Meet the Team (2)

David Daniels
David DanielsJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2018

David has worked in the care sector for 14 years after being made redundant from an electronics company after 18 years. David began working as a care assistant in mental health rehabilitation. Within five years, he had completed his QCF 5 in Health and Social Care and progressed to the role of registered manager.

In the following years, David worked with people with acquired brain injuries and later learning disabilities. David joined Hafod as a senior care assistant in 2018 and has worked his way back through to the position of manager. David finds working and supporting residents with dementia very rewarding, and making a difference in their lives.

Outside of work, David is married with two children and a proud owner of two dogs, Louis and Bella. He is also a keen reader of autobiographies and spends most of his evenings reading or watching sports. A very avid Spurs supporter.

Rhian Jones
Rhian JonesJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2020

Rhian joined Hafod in January 2020 and has worked at Plas y Garn since October 2021.

Rhian's background includes working as a mental health nurse in Norfolk, which covered a range of settings from adults to children and adolescents. Rhian worked for the NHS, working anywhere from prisons to A&E. Before moving to Wales, Rhian was working as a matron in a large state-run boarding school, working in the houses and manning the medical centre.

The team I work with at Plas y Garn are incredibly welcoming and straight away made me feel part of the team when I joined. It's clear they have a true passion for what they do and make working at Plas y Garn a pleasure.
