I have been very happy with the care given to my mother since she has been at Caledonian Court Care Home. Mum had difficulty settling in and she has always been treated with kindness and patience. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Very accommodating. They are a credit to your company and deserve praise for their efforts.

My mother-in-law has been in the home for about three years now. The staff are caring, attentive and friendly. She is well cared for and content. Although covid and being locked down has taken a toll on her physical health, she is still happy and contented; but unable to walk now. My niece was married in September 2021 and a carer accompanied mum to the wedding, it was a lady from the white wing and she was excellent with mum and blended right in on the day. I can't praise her enough.

I recently visited Caledonian Court Care Home with a friend to see their family member. The home was welcoming, friendly, clean and there was lots going on for the people who live there.

The manager took the time to say hello as well as the care and nursing staff.

Anytime I've been to visit my father I can only leave the premises and say he's been fine, relaxed and happy. Tells me he's been looked after, fed, washed and comfortable. That keeps me happy and contented!

Mum has been a resident for almost five years. As a family, we are delighted with the care and love that she receives. Mum has also required several hospital appointments, which have been no trouble for the staff to arrange. Perhaps the only slight annoyance, if that the home mobile phone doesn't get a signal in some rooms too far away from the base unit at the nurse's station. However, if we have required to speak to Mum, she was wheelchaired to an area that gets a good signal. Many staff have let Mum use their own phones.

Since my dad has been in Caledonian Court since February, myself and other family members have no issues with how Dad is treated. He's always clean, shaved and dressed properly. Anytime we have questions, someone has always been there to answer. Now there's new management, Caledonian Court has changed for the better.

My mother was resident in Caledonian Care Home for six years and I cannot praise the staff enough for the care and attention my mum got and the support they gave the family. They made these difficult years so much easier for our mother and for us. She enjoyed their company and we could see the love she had from them and visa versa in their faces. During the lockdown, they have excelled in keeping their residents happy and most importantly Covid-19 free throughout. They are truly amazing. So pleased we chose Caledonian Court Care Home. Thank you to all.

Mum only moved into Caledonian Court a month ago and the care she has been given by all the staff has been excellent and has made her move from hospital so much easier. Her room is big and with some of her own furniture and ornaments etc, it already feels like home. A big thank you to you all.

The care home is slowly, but progressing, in upgrading the home for the residents. Staff are mainly happy and chatty with several, I would say, excellent at their jobs. The new management has made great inroads to the running of the home. There are several recurring issues that need to be constantly discussed, this can be annoying but as I said it's getting better.

Reply from Samantha Debenham, Marketing Support Administrator at Caledonian Court

We are delighted to hear your positive comments about Caledonian Court, in particular, your views of management and staff. It is very pleasing to know that you are seeing positive changes in the home. Our manager has discussed the mentioned recurring issues with you. The pantry area will be closely monitored to ensure colleagues don’t leave dirty crockery in the sink.

My mother is extremely dependent having suffered dementia and loss of mobility following strokes in 2015 at the end of which she was admitted to care. In the time since then my wife and I have been pleased and reassured by the care and attention mum has received. Both nursing and care staff have done their best to meet her needs which can sometimes be hard to decipher and conveyed in no uncertain terms. The unit mum is in has a warm welcoming atmosphere and particularly under the current management team, every effort is being made to ensure the fabric of the building safe and decorated in ways that offer some stimulation to the residents, although she claims she "never gets fed" mum eats heartily when food arrives and we have been impressed generally by its quality. We have had the opportunity to contribute to regular meetings of family with managers and have noticed changes as a result including improvements to the building access to transport and a wider range of activities for the residents. It is such a relief to know that mum is safe and being cared for in ways we could not offer.
