This was Kenneths first visit to Marian House + my family and I could not have been more pleased with his care. All the staff were very friendly + caring. The care home was spotless + the activities were varied + interesting and we could not have had a better experience - will definitely repeat.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a review of your experience with us. It was our pleasure looking after Kenneth.
Friendly, efficient, helpful and professional.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review.
My mother has been excellently cared for at Marian House, both previously when she was fairly independent and now that she needs more significant help. The staff know her well and treat her with dignity and respect. She feels comfortable and safe.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am pleased to read that mum feels safe in our care.
My mother has been a resident in Marian House for nearly three years and at no point during that time have I had any concerns over the excellent care that she receives from the very caring, friendly and well trained staff. The home is always clean and the food well prepared to meet my mothers changing dietary needs. There are daily activities provided by the activities organisers and in addition to this a Craft cafe. Most of the rooms look onto a safe and well kept garden which residents can access and enjoy. I would have no hesitation in recommending Marian House to anyone seeking care for their loved one.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Thank you for your recommendation of our home.
There is always a wide range of activities and outings for the residents each week and a beautifully kept secluded garden at the back in which mum loves .
There is a calming and peaceful atmosphere inside and the home is impressively clean.
Mum is so content now, a sincere thanks to everyone at Marian House for all your love and care you give to mum.
Thank you so much for your review. Its our pleasure looking after mum, thank you indeed for the warming review.
The garden is a real bonus. Unfortunately my mum is not so able to make use of it so much now but she enjoyed being able to get outside and walk or sit in the beautiful surroundings.
I cannot praise the staff enough. Knowing that my mum is safe and so well cared for makes it so much easier for us as a family.
Thank you for your review. It is warming to hear that you feel mum is safe and thank you for praising the staff.
care home.

Thank you for taking the time to give us an review. I am pleased to hear that that you are happy with the care provided for your brother and that you would recommend us as a provider of this care.
My dad moved into Marian House in July 2023, as his Altzheimers had progressed to the stage where he could no longer live independently, and required significant care. Marian House came highly recommended and I am so glad that my sister and I decided it was the right care home for him. The quality of care he receives is simply superb. There is a genuine sense of community, and staff really know dad and understand his developing needs. The activity programme is diverse. When he was able, dad loved attending weekly Art sessions run by the charity, Impact Arts. The lovely garden is accessible and used properly by residents.
Thank you for taking time to leave us an review. I am so happy to read that you feel the care is superb.
Our dad has been resident at Marian House now for over two and a half years. The care he receives is fantastic. The home always has plenty of staff and regular staff who know and understand his needs well. The staff are loving and caring towards dad and cope brilliantly when his behaviours (due to dementia) are challenging. The standard of nutrition is very high, and personalised to his needs. My sister and I also appreciate the high level of medical attention he receives, not only from the skilled nurses who work in the home, but also from the wider GP, psychiatric and other health teams the Marian House team has referred dad to when he's needed more specialist care. The home is always clean, smells nice and is redecorated regularly. There's a good range of activities for residents and dad has really benefited from regular sessions at the home's Craft Cafe. The garden is brilliant and really well used by the residents. We feel so lucky to have found Marian House for our dad.
Thank you for your review. I will ensure the staff are aware of the very kind words mentioned about them. They do take great pride in delivering high standards of care.
The staff always seem to be very upbeat and happy, some are positively joyous!
Marian House is a lovely home and I am very happy with the care that she receives.
Thank you so much for your review. I am pleased to hear that you are happy with the care provided. It is our pleasure looking after your sister.
My aunt moved in at the end of 2025 and it has been the best decision we could have made. She settled very quickly and the care she has received has been exemplary. The staff has taken time to get to know her and her interests.
Thank you for your review. It is a big change coming into care and I'm please that your aunt has settled into the home so well.
I have no hesitation in recommending Marian House to anyone with a relative who has care needs. Having been through the process of assessment and admission with both parents I can assure any reader that the process was made as simple as possible and was handled in a highly caring and compassionate manner. I cannot fault the level of care my parents have received at Marian House. There is a genuine warmth, the staff are clearly of very high quality and I am continually impressed by how personalised the care experience is. Any queries are handled efficiently and professionally by management. Our family would highly recommend Marian House.
Thank you for taking time to do this review. It is warming that you find the care personalised and the staff of high quality. It is a big step coming into care and we strive to making that journey as "easy" as possible.
There are a range of excellent activities, including the wonderful craft cafe, and a beautiful, quiet sun trap of a back garden.
Thank you for your review and it makes me so happy to know that mum is referring to Marian house as home. That is really the best feedback one can receive.
Everything about the home is really excellent, and I cannot fault it in any way.
The care Mum received throughout the six years was first class (including being treated with utmost dignity and respect at all times). She was always clean, dressed as well as she would have wanted and her hair almost always looked immaculate (only exceptions to this were really when the hairdresser was unable to attend unexpectedly). The staff were good at spending time with Mum and taking her off to activities. I was informed every Monday of the weekly activities programme. The app was such a helpful platform, enabling me to see almost hour by hour what care interventions there had been.
The end-of-life care extended to Mum (and indeed to us as family) was quite exceptional, for which we were hugely grateful and will never forget.
We would thoroughly recommend Marian House.
Thank you for such a wonderful review. It was our pleasure caring for your mum and she will be greatly missed.
The care delivered is very friendly & person centred - staff know the likes/dislikes, preferences of all their residents. High standards of cleanliness, comfort & nutrition.
All in all, highly recommended.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. Your kind words and appreciation in this review will shared with the staff.
She has now been there for 2 years and the care she receives is fantastic. I live in South Africa and have to say that before she moved, I was always worried about her. She is now in a warm, loving and caring environment.
The staff are very good at keeping me updated about her condition and are always happy to respond to any queries I have.
All in all, I think it's the best decision we ever made, and I am thrilled with the care she receives.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. Your kind words and appreciation in this review will shared with the staff.
The care home is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent with a choice of meals to suit all tastes.
A warm and friendly ambiance greets you when you enter and the staff are always ready to answer any queries you may have. The garden to the rear is very attractive and the perfect spot in which to relax on a sunny day.
We are delighted with the care our loved one receives in Marian House.
Hi, thank you for your wonderful review. I am so pleased that the care home environment, the food, and the staff are pleasant and welcoming. I am also pleased to hear that your husband has settled in well. I will share this review with the staff team at Marian House.
The care provided is exemplary in every way. No complaints whatsoever. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are friendly and extremely attentive and caring. Most of the staff have been in the home for some time which is always a good sign. The decoration of the rooms and public areas is spotlessly clean and there are no untoward smells anywhere. There is a regular activity programme which is published in advance each week. There is excellent medical support from a local GP practice and ophthalmic and dental support is available.
Thank you Stephen for this wonderful feedback. I am happy to hear that your experience of care in Marian House has been exemplary. I will share this feedback with staff in the care home.
It has been 3 months since my husband moved into Marian House. The most wonderful aspect of this care home is its staff. All staff are very friendly, helpful and conscientious and compassionate. They really work very hard to make residents happy and comfortable. I cannot thank them enough for working tirelessly to look after my husband. Furthermore, the most attractive feature of Marian House is its mature garden. On a sunny day, residents and their relatives can enjoy strolling the garden. On such a fine day, animals including Alpacas, Shetland ponies, pigmy goats, and guinea pigs came to visit residents. I was truly astonished to find them in the courtyard. Marian House also welcomes visitors by pets as well. My husband appreciates a regular visit by his pet cat. It makes all the difference to him. I would like to end my review with my heartfelt gratitude to all the members of staff.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. From our viewpoint, we are pleased to be reviewed that the care in Marian House is exceptional and the environment is enjoyed by everyone, service users, families, and other visitors alike. Your kind words and appreciation in this review will shared with the staff and management.
Marian House is a lovely airy light-filled building inside and it wraps around a well-kept sunny courtyard garden. My sister's room looks out on this space and I know it gives her a lot of pleasure as do her little forays out there.
The staff are very understanding about her need to have a little independence and don't interfere with that. I think things could have been very different in a place where a more rigid approach was taken.
There are also lots of activities my sister can take or leave as she feels inclined.
So all in all she is happy and content in a difficult health situation thanks to the care and kindness of the staff of Marian House who really couldn't try harder.
Thank you for taking the time to give us such a great review. At viewpoint, we are so delighted that your sister has found a new home where she can be herself and continue to do the little things that bring her joy and maintain her independence at the same time. This feedback will be shared with the staff at Marian House.
