Kincaid House has a Review Score of 9.7 (9.713) out of 10, based on 17 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Kincaid House has 56 reviews.
Two assistant managers are very proactive and easy to communicate with.
There is a high turnover of care staff, which is not so good.
All departments run well and efficiently.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Kincaid a review. Very much appreciated. The team at Kincaid.
I attended a six monthly review which was attended by myself, assistant manager and nurse. Both staff members work on same unit as my relative and know him and his routines well. Prior to review I was provided with hard copy of previous review which meant I could focus on the structure of review, it also highlighted decisions made at previous review. The review covered all aspects of my relatives care, giving me a clear picture of what his daily routines may consist off. I was informed how staff manage his needs and what decisions are taken daily to ensure his day/night focuses on his needs taking account of his moods etc. Food, medication, personal care, laundry, were discussed. I was given an opportunity to ask questions and anything that I had concerns about were noted. On the whole the review provided me with a good picture of my relatives daily routine. My only negative is I felt the review was slightly rushed, however I acknowledge that staff members are extremely busy.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, Much appreciated, we will take your comments on board, Thanks Again Team Kincaid
I cannot praise the staff and management at Kincaid House highly enough. Fortunately, I live close to the home and am able to visit Mum on a very regular basis, at all times it is clear to see the staff attending to their tasks in a very professional manner, constantly engaging with and attending to the needs of residents and fully appreciate what they do for all concerned.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, very much appreciated. Thanks.
Dad is on Waverley, the rooms are practical, obviously depending on care needs. The home is clean and seems well maintained, they have a wee army of cleaners beavering away daily and a crew of repair people.
The staff I find very friendly and attentive. The workforce seems pretty stable so they know the residents well.
There is an activities team which takes residents out and there are planned activities. At the moment they are raising ducklings which will be housed in the garden. So those who are interested get to interact in various wee days out.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, it is greatly appreciated. Regards, the team at Kincaid.
Good standard of care and attention given to Mum. Room always clean and tidy. Variety of food and activities, days out etc.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Kincaid, much appreciated. Thanks for your continued support. The manager and the team at Kincaid.
Excellent very thorough and thoughtful.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Kincaid, much appreciated.
I can't praise all the staff enough for their care and dedication to ensure my mother-in-law, who has been a resident since during lockdown, is treated with respect and dignity at all times. They show so much concern and love to all their residents. The home itself is always a hub of activity and they keep their residents involved with all the activities both in the well-looked-after buildings, outbuildings and beautifully kept gardens, mum especially loves the days out for lunch, shows etc. It is a comfort to be confident that she is safe and loved when we are not there. The staff are always welcoming, approachable and knowledgeable I have and will in the future refer Kincaid House to everyone without hesitation.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Thanks for your praise for our staff at Kincaid House, very much appreciated. Regards the team at Kincaid.
It was her Birthday this week and the staff were so lovely. The girls on duty came into her room which they had decorated with banners and balloons singing Happy Birthday and presented her with a gorgeous cake. It not only made Mum smile, but me also.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and everyone happy to help with anything you need .
It is very comforting to know your relatives are in good hands and being well looked after.
Regards the team at Kincaid.
The genuine care and concern shown to Mum by this girl was outstanding.
Another member of Kincaid staff was working at the hospital that week and she also showed the same genuine care and affection. It was very reassuring to us as a family to see this happening when Mum was so ill.
Thankfully Mum became well enough to return to Kincaid House and the warm welcome she received from all of the staff was amazing. All genuinely happy to see her back in her familiar surroundings.
Sincere thanks to all involved in Mum's care.
Thank you for your continued support, the team from Kincaid
I have been very impressed with the professionalism, dedication and genuine caring of all staff at Kincaid House. This extends from management, staff nurses, carers, domestic staff and laundry. They all like to have a chat with my wife and nothing is too much bother. A programme of interesting activities are in place and it's heartwarming to see how staff gently help everyone join in. Kincaid House is a safe secure location with impressive gardens that the residents enjoy during the summer months. Regular worthwhile communications from management ensure a constant connection with families.
Thank you for your kind words of appreciation for the whole team in Kincaid, very much appreciated.
Very satisfied with reveiw. All concerns I had were answered and explained very well. Any time I approached nurses with concerns about my wife, they were only too happy to explain how they were dealing with it.
Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review of the home. It is greatly appreciated. Regards.
The staff attend to my mum's needs on a daily basis and she is well thought off, however, Mum's mood can wary on a daily basis but the staff soon perk her up and she loves a good blether and lots of cups of tea.
When I visit each day, I can engage with Mum and enquire about her day, lunch and overall health and love having a coffee with her, even the staff from the laundry, housekeeping and maintenance all chat to Mum if they are there and I can go home knowing that she is being looked after and it reassures the family
The staff are friendly and approachable at all times and would go out of their way to help any residents and their family.
Dear Gwen, thank you for your kind comments in regards to the home and for the support you give us. Heather and the Team at Kincaid
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Kincaid House to friends or family.
My mum stayed in Kincaid House for 4 years until she passed away in March. I cannot thank the staff enough on Bute level for the care and attention they gave to mum right up till the end and the staff member who was with mum, my son and myself at the very peaceful end. Thank you all so much for taking great care of mum.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are pleased your experiences were so positive and we certainly miss having your Mum (and yourselves) visiting the home. You have all been so supportive of what we do at Kincaid and hope to see you popping in soon for a coffee.
All the staff are friendly and approachable. They attend to any concerns promptly and keep me updated with my mum's care and her wellbeing. Rooms are comfortable, clean and warm. Activities are enjoyable and inclusive. Overall we are very happy with how Mum has settled and her care. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review for Kincaid House. We are delighted you and your Mum are enjoying her being at Kincaid. I'm glad she has settled well and we enjoy having her here.
My mother has been a resident for over three years and during this time we have found that staff at Kincaid House have been very attentive and caring in the service they have provided.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are delighted your Mum enjoys living here and that you find the home to be of a high standard.
This is a beautiful home. Immaculately clean and beautiful meals. A constant stream of cleaners and laundry staff keeping it beautiful. The nurses have robust policies in place and the atmosphere is happy and calm. I highly recommend the care here.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased we worked well together to help Mum receive the care in a different environment that she is better suited for. Thank you for your involvement in the home and it was a pleasure to work with your Mum when she was at Kincaid. I will pass on your thanks to all the staff involved.
My father lived in Northern Irland and was in a temporary care home there. Comparing the two care homes, Kincaid House is like 5-star accommodation. Can't fault the staff at both, however, the staff at Kincaid House go that extra mile. I feel there is a more personal approach from all, from management, office, housekeeping, nurses, carers, cleaners. I know my family are all delighted with the care and worry free.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. We love having your Dad here and he is great fun. We are delighted he has settled well especially coming back to Greenock after living in Ireland for some time. It is great you can all visit him regularly and we enjoy having you all in the home.
The building and the grounds are perfect and care home is always full of laughter and has the family feel. Couldn't ask for any better. My father is so happy.
Thank you for providing a review for the home. We are pleased that there is so much laughter and has a family feel, we do certainly try to make this a central part of what we do. We love having your father in law in the home and he is great fun as well. Thank you as well for joining in at our events and your on-going support of life at Kincaid.
When dad was in last weeks of life we were encouraged to spend as much time as we wanted with him. Staff supported the family as well as dad. Nothing was too much trouble. The only things that could have improved it was if there was 4 instead of 3 staff nurses as when my dad needed diamorphine it could take a little time as they had to get a staff nurse from another floor to be present as it requires 2 nurses to supervise it. So having floating nurse would be helpful, it would also be good to have the nurses trained in the use of the syringe driver as part of their palliative care training. This would improve patient care.
Thank you very much for your review; we appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback and are pleased our team were able to support you and your family through such a difficult time. We are always keen to develop and will certainly consider your suggestions, particularly where it may improve...
