My aunt came into the care home just after the first lockdown, and then two weeks later, we were in the second lockdown. I visit every week, and she is always very clean and tidy and always cheery. I received many newsletters, and it was good reading and nice to see the interaction with other residents.
Have always found the staff very helpful on any visits to my friend. Everything always very clean and security on entry also very good.
This is the best care home in Perth. It's clean and always smells fresh. Residents receive the best care and are treated like part of their own family. I love the activities and interactions staff have with residents. Staff are very good and friendly, always very helpful and keep me up to date with any changes.
I have no hesitation in highly commending Strathtay House. The staff have and continue to be very helpful, caring and a great support to my mum, who has been living there for the past 18 months. They have always been excellent at communicating any concerns to me and have managed exceptionally well during the COVID crisis to maintain a high level of care and support to mum and us as a family.
The staff are always friendly and attentive, professional and courteous. My brother is always well looked after. Excellent care.
The worst bit was getting tested, but it is necessary. Everything else was fine; it was great being able to sit close to Mum.
My mum has lived in Strathtay House since 2017, and her care, in that time, has been excellent. The staff are all very good and take the time to acknowledge Mum and interact with her making her time a little more easier. I have nothing but praise for the care home and staff.
Good food.
Kind.
He had previously been in another care home and can say that Strathtay is a much better care home for him!
All the staff are lovely and welcoming and always keep us up to date with how he is.
The last year has been hard with not being able to see him due to Covid, but whenever we phoned, he seemed in great spirit, and again, the staff keep you up to date with how he is getting on.
This is the first I have been able to see my grandad properly in over a year, and the procedure for getting to see him was great. The lady who helped me do my lateral flow test was cheery and very helpful. It’s great to see these procedures in place and know that my grandad is in a safe environment.
Thank you.
Love it here.
Very comfortable.
I am really happy to be loving in the care home.
Everyone is really kind and helpful.
Very friendly.
I like it here.
Friendly and kind.
The attention is very good. I have no problem with the care that is given to my aunt.
Mum was made very welcome, as were we as family and friends. The carers were attentive and personable. Mum was happy. The environment was clean. Visitors found it too hot but understood the need for that.
My mother spent a few peaceful weeks in Strathtay in December 2019/January 2020. Even though it was a short stay, as a family we were so impressed with Strathtay's services. It has a very safe and homely atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, good food, lovely and clean, very nice ensuite bedroom facilities, and even hairdressing services which my mother enjoyed very much. The other residents are also great fun to chat with. A big thank you to all the staff who put our minds at rest, knowing that she was receiving such an excellent standard of care.
My mother, unfortunately, had only a very brief stay of five days in this very caring home. It gave us great comfort knowing that her last few days were peaceful and the care she received was second to none from all the staff. The home is warm, clean but most importantly everyone exudes warmth to the residents.
