I've been a qualified mental health, and general health nurse for almost 35 years, in various clinical health settings. I started off as a Healthcare Assistant in a care home and feel that I have 'come home' to work in Lakeside. I am totally committed to making sure you or your loved one experience nothing but the very best of care within a 5-star setting.

Jane is a skilled, and very well respected, front house and admin assistant. Put simply, Jane is the glue that holds everything together, a real organizer and the person central to keeping everyone and everything running smoothly. If anything goes wrong, ask Jane! If everything goes right, it's probably because you asked Jane!

My name is Bobby and I have the great privilege of working at Lakeside Care Home as the Activities Coordinator.

My job is fun and very rewarding – and I love it! I regularly invite musicians, artists, bell ringers, gardeners, chefs, and various other entertainers into the home to bring joy to the lives of residents who are living here.

Thulie is a hugely experienced clinical nurse with significant clinical experience in residential and nursing care. Although a traditional 'hands-on' nurse, Thulie is a natural leader and leads the clinical element of the care home provision. Always happy, cheerful and approachable, Thulie is very much the consistent and 'go-to' person within the home.

My name is Michael, I have been working for Barchester at Lakeside Care Home for 7 years.

I am a Senior Carer on the residential floor of this home. I help settle new residents and staff into the home.

I liaise with families, GP and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the health and well-being of my residents.

I enjoy my job, I ensure that my residents are well, safe and happy.

My name is Lina, I have been a carer here at Lakeside for the last 12 years. I am originally from Portugal and enjoy living in Jersey.

I support the nurses to settle in new residents, I assist with completing essential assessments, I lead the health care assistants and ensure that new recruits are supported.

It is my job to induct new starters at Lakeside and Lakeside Manor. I also work alongside all care staff to ensure good standards are maintained. Providing key training updates as necessary.

Gio is a very experienced administrator having worked in the care sector over many years. She is very hands-on and makes herself known to the residents and their families from the outset.

Gio is also our 'Tell Barchester' champion.

An enthusiastic Carer with a 'can-do' attitude. Sara is always happy to assist and provide a high level of care for residents.

Debbie joined us in 2023 having relocated to the island from her native Kent. A hugely experienced nurse, Debbie brings years of experience to the nursing team.

Marianna has been with us for 12 years working in our Housekeeping department. Always smiling, always bright and cheerful, always has a big 'hello' for everyone.

Grace has worked for Barchester for 21 years: quite simply a very experienced Carer who is totally dedicated to her role, and to the residents of the home.

Film is the energetic and youthful member of the team. Since joining us in 2022 Film has grown in confidence and ability and is one to watch for the future.

What can we say about our Head Chef? In an area which is very hard to recruit to in Jersey, Petros is a rock of reliability.

Petros thrives on feedback and is constantly checking in with residents to ensure they receive the very best 'cuisine' which he provides.
