My sister has dementia and is looked after very well. The staff are very good, always attentive, very approachable. The 2 staff that do the activities are very good, always keep the patients upbeat. Overall, I am happy that my sister is in this home.

Mum went in for respite for three weeks while I was off the Island on holiday. This is the first time that she has been in a nursing home. We live in a two generation house and while at the age of 93 she is quite capable of looking after herself, I felt happier that she was being well cared for...
Pinewood fitted perfectly she had a lovely room and was looked after well when she needed help, although she is independent and most things she can manage to do herself.

I came here for respite initially for 1 week but had to extend my stay for three weeks. I have had excellent care. Only complaint is that sometimes my food was cold and given different to what I requested. This only happened a couple of times. The food was very good.

I'm sorry to hear about the occasional problem with your food. This is not the service we expect at Pinewood and I will be looking into this further to find out what went wrong to ensure this does not happen again.

One complaint, though. The windows are very badly fitted, making it very windy. Seals need replacing.

I have been staying in Pinewood for respite and they have been excellent. All of the staff are caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. I certainly feel better for my stay, I would recommend it to anyone.
