I have been delighted with everything at Pinewood. The food is absolutely brilliant. as good as a five-star restaurant. The staff are all so caring and nice. Lovely bedroom, bathroom, lounge and dining room, all bright and airy. I would not hesitate coming back to have full-time care if I had to. I'm so grateful for this experience.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and share your experience that you have had at Pinewood. We are so pleased that you had a great experience. It will be great to be able to share these reviews with our members of staff, who take the utmost pride in offering the best care possible. It was a delight to be able to provide you with the care you required.
The parents moved here in January 2023 and they were made to feel very welcome and secure quickly. They are very well looked after laundry and food etc. However, Mum's hygiene could be better but unfortunately, the staff can't force her to shower. The staff are all so nice, helpful and friendly.
My mother-in-law had nothing but praise for everyone at Pinewood. She said the staff couldn't have been more helpful. When we first went to visit Pinewood, we sat down with the manager who immediately put my mother-in-law at ease. Showed her around etc, and she felt very comfortable knowing where she was going and which room and my husband and I were happy leaving her there knowing she was in such good hands. 10/10.
I feel that mum is being very well cared for she is happy the staff are so good with her it makes me feel relaxed and comforted that she is safe in their hands. I have recommended Pinewood to my friends.
New carpets are desperately required. They are stained and out of date. The decor in communal areas looks very tired.
The home is short-staffed with cleaners and carers covering for waitresses.
The call bells sometimes don’t work and it can take as long as 20 minutes to be answered.
Both my husband and myself are very happy to be here. We find management and staff extremely helpful at all times.
We're so pleased you're happy living with us - your home from home. It is a pleasure to have such a wonderful couple gracing Pinewood with your wit, humour and fantastic stories
Our mother was with Pinewood Residential Care Home for two weeks care while family members off-island. She was very happy with her room and found all the staff nice, popping in to see all ok or if she needed anything. It was spotlessly clean. Her compliments to the chef, food was always hot and very nice. She always felt safe and happy.
Thank you for your great review, it was our pleasure to look after your lovely mum and make sure her care home experience was going to be better than she originally thought. Hopefully, we've eliminated some of the negative thoughts your mum had before she came in and by the looks of your comments and score this has been achieved
Food is good, lots of choices and nicely presented.
Very clean rooms and there was nice and relaxed entertainment for everyone. Very pleased to come back again.
It was lovely to see you both again and a pleasure to see you both embracing home life and mixing with the other residents and joining in with all the activities on offer. Take care, all the Best Merissa and the team.
An amazing experience for us both. My husband came here for respite whilst I was having a knee replacement, and then I joined him for a few weeks at Pinewood. A wonderful example of 'care for the elderly'. Delightful management, and all staff of the highest calibre, friendly, helpful and the kindest team of all. The overall standard of this establishment is of the highest and we thank them all for a great experience.
Wow, thank you so much Simone for your wonderful review. It was our pleasure to be able to help you both through a difficult time. I will pass on your comments to the staff who we are very proud of and let them know what a fantastic team they are.
I'm so glad I chose Pinewood to aid my recovery post-op. From entering the building you are made to feel extremely welcome. All the staff are a great testament to how you should be treated with the utmost care and compassion. Nothing is ever too much. The facilities are a wonderful statement of making your stay feel like a home from home. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend.
We hope you've made a complete recovery and are now living life to the full. All the best, Merissa and the Pinewood Team.
I have been in Pinewood for over three years and I have never had one complaint to make. I love my room. The glass door opens onto the lawn, there are shrubs and pine trees. There is a lovely view over the countryside. Everyone from the matron to the staff and cleaners are excellent. I can't say more.
Thank you for your wonderful review. It has been our pleasure having you stay with us, seeing your lovely smile and listening to your wise words. Wishing you all the best.
I had hip replacement surgery and the day before discharge my husband tested positive for covid. He was able to book me a room at Pinewood Residental Home, Jersey for respite care. I have been most impressed with the level of care from all the staff and every meal has been delicious. I have been able to recover in the best possible way.
Best wishes from all here at Pinewood.
The process of sending my parents-in-law to Pinewood was made very easy by the very helpful and friendly staff. They first came for a look around and had lunch, then later when they come out of hospital their transport to Pinewood was all arranged. All the queries we have are answered, the items they require are provided with efficiency and they are enjoying the food and the environment. My father-in-law has signs of dementia and he is looked after well when he gets confused.
Thank you for your review. It has been our pleasure to have your parents-in-law stay with us, they are such lovely people. Take care and all the best. Kind regards, The Pinewood Team.
I stayed at Pinewood for a period of two weeks while my wife had a delayed holiday in Cornwall. The management and staff were first rate and provided help and care in very practical ways when required. Activities were well organised. I would thoroughly recommend the home.
Thank you for your wonderful review, Douglas. We are so pleased you would 'thoroughly recommend the home'. It was our pleasure to have you stay with us, and if we can ever be of any help in the future, we would love to see you again. Take care and all the best. Kind regards, The Pinewood Team.
This is a very friendly home making me feel at ease on entering care. The staff are always welcoming, and ready to help when necessary. The rooms are nice and airy, the bathroom is user friendly. The menus are varied, the food excellent and well served. The bed is comfortable. I would be happy to come back in the future, should my condition deteriorate.
We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay. It was our pleasure to help and we would be delighted to welcome you back anytime, All the Best Merissa and the Pinewood Team
Excellent

Three years ago I stayed at Pinewood for 8 weeks and 5 days with a broken ankle. I loved my stay at Pinewood for three weeks after the hip operation and doing very well. Once again, many thanks to all the wonderful staff and carers. Many thanks also for my lovely welcome gift..
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It was our pleasure to help you through a difficult time and if we can be of any assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to call. It would be lovely to see you again take care and all the best, Merissa and all the team at Pinewood.
The carers that look after me are very responsive when I ring the bell for assistance. I am very pleased with the staff and the care they provide.
Thank you, what a lovely review, we are so pleased that you have settled in so well. Kind regards.
I spent a week in our general hospital having a complete knee reconstruction. Excellent treatment after a week moved to Pinewood Nursing Home. I was there for five days. I had excellent care from the nurses and staff. I was very comfortable in an excellent, warm and exquisite care home. Very good and thoughtful menu and food. I don't think I will eat again for some time. I really enjoyed my stay.
Thank you for such a lovely review.
Kind regards,
Merissa Kenny
I have been here for 3 or 4 months. It started with being unable to get out of bed. I was sent to the hospital and then here to recover. When I had arrived here I had swollen legs and also bruises on a large part of my body. All these ailments are now cured. The care home is very good. No complaints. Very good food. The cost of care is a bit expensive.
Thank you for your lovely review, we are pleased you are enjoying your time here with us. I will pass this on to the team.
Kindest regardsMerissa Kenny - Home Manager

Meet the Team (5)

Hi, I'm Jemma the Home Manager and I have worked at Pinewood since March 2023.

Sofia started her career with Pinewood as a Carer initially and is now working as a part-time Receptionist at Pinewood and has now been promoted to the Hospitality Service Manager and more recently taken on the role os Customer Relationship Manager - being the first point of contact for families searching for care for a loved one.
Sofia enjoys interacting with all the residents and their families. She particularly enjoys welcoming people into the Home, which she states provides her with great job satisfaction. Her people skills are excellent; we can understand why this role suited her very well. Sofia is very versatile and will put her hand to anything.
On a personal note, Sofia was born in Madeira and is a proud mother of two lovely children, a daughter aged 12, who enjoys dance and regularly attends Street Dancing classes, and at the end of the year, they put on a big show for parents and friends. Her son is 22, and he is currently at Oxford University studying to be a primary school teacher.
In her spare time, Sofia likes to go walking, watch documentaries and movies on TV and spend time with her family. A dedicated mother who puts every effort into her home life with family and her job. What we would call a real star!
Sofia is a reliable member of the team. We are very fortunate to have her working for us at Pinewood. She is a great asset to our team!

Istvan enjoys a very active life outside of the home with his love of skiing and fitness exercise. Istvan also enjoys watching Sporting events especially Formula One.
Istvan enjoys his role here at Pinewood and is an expert on nutrition and the wellbeing for all.

IIlidio has been working with us for 15 years. Born in Madeira, not only does he support our chefs in the kitchen with food preparation, but he will also support our maintenance manager with painting and decorating. A reliable member of the team and a great asset to the home.

Carlos is a great asset to the kitchen team; he works hard supporting the Chefs in the kitchen and ensuring that our equipment is sterile, and everything works in motion. Carlos was born in Madeira; he has been with us here at Pinewood for 6 years.
