Overall, my mother was looked after very well, for the last 16 months she was in there for. All the staff seem to treat her as it was their own mother.

My mother came to Ashmead in September 2015. She passed away in February 2019. For approximately three and a half years I visited her almost every Sunday unless my wife and I were on holiday. I found all the staff friendly but professional and always welcomed you. My mother and I were very satisfied with the care, room and food.

Two carers were especially helpful and I like to think my mother was happy to her last day.

We are so pleased that you were happy with the care we were able to provide for your mother and that she was happy living here at Ashmead with us. Our staff really do appreciate such positive feedback as we continue to provide a high standard of care for all of our residents.

My mother was in Ashmead Care Centre from February 2018 to February 2019, when she passed away. I cannot thank the care home enough. The staff and everybody looked after my Mum so well. They were fantastic. The world would be a better place if there were more people in the world like the staff/carers at Ashmead. As a family, we were truly blessed.

Although the staff are very considerate there is a real lack of basic care. For example, they are not washed on a regular basis and beds are not changed on a regular basis. There are no male carers on the first floor but seems to be no lack of them on other floors. My husband only has one shower a week and often doesn't get that because of the lack of male carers.

Luminita CupsaJob Title:Home Manager

Hello, my name is Luminita and I am the Home Manager at Ashmead.

I am a wife and a mother born, raised and trained in Romania where I practiced paediatric nursing before moving to the UK. I trained to become an adult nurse (RGN), and I am proud to have worked as a senior carer, an RGN, Clinical Lead, the Deputy Manager and the Home Manager in the same care home, Ashmead where I continue to be the Home Manager today. I am passionate about delivering great care to the people living with us and as a Home Manager, I take pride in not only providing good quality care but also great hospitality services to the people that live with us. I believe in continuing professional development and supporting my staff to develop themselves to grow in their careers. It has been a very rewarding journey so far as my 34 years of nursing continues at Ashmead, and I aim to continue to help improve our services for our residents.
