My mother has been at Ellesmere House for 9 months and overall I'm very disappointed with the management of this Chelsea home - superficially things look good but after the initial joy that your loved one has found a good home and is being looked after, the reality sets in. Mice running around the...
The caring staff and nurses are lovely but they too need to see good leadership which is clearly lacking. An injection of genuine care would go a long way to improve this home. People before profit.
We genuinely appreciate your kind words about our caring staff and nursing team, as their dedication and resident wellbeing are truly at the heart of what we do.

There seems to be a lot of activity going on, although my husband refuses to participate in it. The Care home management team also responds promptly to any issues. I have recommended Ellesmere House to anyone I know who lives within RBKC if their family member is in need of a Care home. The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is located next door, which is extremely helpful in case of an emergency.

I had an issue with staff using mobile phones and once reported, it had been dealt with accordingly and I no longer see them on their phone.
Two members of staff are honest staff members and I'm happy with their service towards mum.

A very close friend of mine was admitted to Ellesmere House some 18 months ago. During this time I have been pleased to see that the establishment is very well run; the accommodation and public spaces are well designed, clean and cheerful. I have built a rapport with many members of the staff, from the charming people on the reception to the dedicated hands-on carers. I have found them all to be kind, considerate and highly professional. The personnel are the most important aspect of this impressive care home and to whom I offer my sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation.

I joined Care UK in 2018 as a Registered Nurse from the Bahamas. Since then, I’ve worked hard to climb the ladder to Senior Registered General Nurse, Clinical Lead and now Home Manager. A little while ago, I even won Care UK’s ‘Nurse of the Year’ award, which was a highlight!
Care UK is a great place to work: as well as being a leading care provider, the support it gives to its teams is exceptional. I’ve been supported to learn and progress and do as much training as possible, and I aim to empower my team in the same way, so they can do their best work.
I’m entirely dedicated to the residents’ well-being and ensuring they receive the highest quality care. Even the smallest actions can make a huge difference to a person and make them feel special and cared for. I always look forward to any opportunities I have during the day to chat to the residents and my colleagues here at Farm Lane and Ellesmere House.
