My mother lived at Ellesmere for 4 and a half years and received excellent care from a compassionate staff group throughout. This was particularly evident in her final days when she was treated with extreme tenderness and care. Staff listened to the family and made everything possible for Mum's final days to be as comfortable as possible. The staff do an amazing job. They are friendly, willing, patient and really care for the people they look after. Well done to the team at Ellesmere.
Despite urgent calls and work, the staff generally are at once helpful, or will call a colleague. Smiles from all and I really don't think there is a word "no" in their vocabulary.

Very pleasantly surprised at the excellent and compassionate attitude of all the staff. The food was excellent the care and attention beyond belief and duty. Whoever owns this place does an outstanding job. Thank you.

I joined Care UK in 2018 as a Registered Nurse from the Bahamas. Since then, I’ve worked hard to climb the ladder to Senior Registered General Nurse, Clinical Lead and now Home Manager. A little while ago, I even won Care UK’s ‘Nurse of the Year’ award, which was a highlight!
Care UK is a great place to work: as well as being a leading care provider, the support it gives to its teams is exceptional. I’ve been supported to learn and progress and do as much training as possible, and I aim to empower my team in the same way, so they can do their best work.
I’m entirely dedicated to the residents’ well-being and ensuring they receive the highest quality care. Even the smallest actions can make a huge difference to a person and make them feel special and cared for. I always look forward to any opportunities I have during the day to chat to the residents and my colleagues here at Farm Lane and Ellesmere House.
