Highbury New Park

Me and my sister are extremely happy that Dad is here and being looked after so expertly.

The warmth and caring is second to none. The manager and staff are always willing to go out of their way to support, not only the resident but the whole family of the resident. My sister is settled and much more active since she was placed here. She has made a lot of friends but most of all, I don't have to worry on a daily basis, when she is well looked after.

My friend has lived here for five and a half years. He is very happy and always looks well-presented. I visit him every other week. The staff are always friendly and I can ask them how my friend is. He is well looked after and thriving. The activities stimulate him. He has never had an admission to hospital since he has been here. I am happy with his care and would recommend this care home.

My aunt has been in the home for a few years now, and she has been very well looked after. She is always clean and fed and has a smile on her face when we visit her. Even her nails are painted. The staff are always helpful and so welcoming, and this makes all the difference. The home was recommended to me, and I know why. Thank you all.

The past two years have been very difficult with all the restrictions that Covid caused to be put in place. Highbury New Park did all the could to let my brother and myself see our mother and in the worrying times we were reassured that she was getting the best possible care. The managers and staff went over and above and we are so glad that our mother was in a safe place with staff that really care for all the residents.

I am very happy with my uncle being in this home. He is looked after very well and is always clean and tidy when I visit. The home is kept very clean and the staff very friendly.

They have been marvellous accommodating us a family - especially during bereavement.

Highbury New Park care home is an excellent care facility. My mother is always happy, cared for and all her needs met. Management and staff are always available and happy to help with any concerns. As a family we all feel we are extremely happy and lucky we found this care home for our mum.

I find that the management are very helpful if I have a problem or question to be answered. I also find that the staff are very helpful with any problems. Overall, I find the care home very good compared to others in Islington.

My mother has been living in Highbury New Park care home for some 4/5 years. My brother and I have always been impressed with the care (daily and medical). All staff, particularly the manager and deputy manager, have always been helpful and understanding - most particularly in the recent 18 months with lockdowns and the Coronavirus pandemic. But all the staff are human and they are, understandably, stressed with the unrelenting pressure. They are tired. An increase in their pay might help. Of course, I cannot comment on food and drink, rooms and activities since there have been many restrictions. I judge it on previous experience.

We as a family find the staff at Highbury New Park Care Home extremely helpful and caring.

I found that this care home takes great care in looking after the residents, and make sure they are as comfortable as possible. We know this pandemic has been very hard for the care homes throughout the country, but I can say that this particular home has reacted to the pandemic with great efficiency. 1st class management.

The care my mother received a Highbury New Park was all I expected and far more. All her needs, moods and tantrums were dealt with respectfully and in a most caring way. She responded well due to the staff and most of all, the management who were always available to talk.

I have nothing but praise for this care home - the care they provided was exceptional. The staff were always patient and kind to my brother and friendly and welcoming to my sister and I when we visited. I also wish to complement the managers in particular for the group meetings they held with the resident's relatives which were very helpful. Apart from the dementia, my brother had several health problems but he was always given prompt medical attention. I felt he was very safe in their hands.

I'm very pleased with my mothers care at Highbury New Park as she is very contented since being there and also she has been free of infection and her appetite has got so much better, excellent all round.

My AUnt has been living at the care home since 2005. We sadly nearly lost her a few years ago, however, due to the fantastic care she received we have just celebrated her 99th birthday. The compassion and care that is shown by the care staff it feels like an extension of our own family.

My father was in residence at Highbury New Park for the last two years of his life. I cannot fault this care home, I found all nursing, management and general staff extremely professional, approachable and very considerate, all of which dealt with my father's wellbeing with the understanding and compassion I would have treated him myself.

The staff are all extremely hard working in all the departments of the home. Managers are excellent, knowledgeable and open to communication. I have every confidence in them. The floor staff are angels. Given that long hours and low pay they really give themselves to their jobs, they are kind to resident and visitors and it is easy to see how much they actually care about their charges.
