When I was first informed that my husband had been found a place in Aston House, my heart sank. I was a community nurse, and I had heard uncomplimentary remarks made about care home. Plus, it would be a long bus journey for me to visit. However as time went on, I looked forward to visiting times. The staff were great, husband well cared for, and it was a pleasure to be there. I made many friends amongst both staff and other residents, also I met carers from other 'local' homes and on my way to and from Aston House, I felt glad that my husband was in Aston House.

To all nurses, carers, manager, the care and love shown to my brother, especially during his last months, was excellent and made this difficult time so more bearable not only for Colin but also for the whole family. You were all so kind and patient and I cannot thank you enough for the unfaltering care and support given us all. Thank you each and every one who works at Aston House for the amazing care you give my brother while he was living there. Each and every word is came from my heart words are not enough to thank you!

My wife Mary, was a resident for nearly 5 years.

She was very well looked after by all the staff, male and female, and amazingly she settled very, very quickly and always gave me to understand how well looked after she always was from the last to back at the beginning. Excellent!!

As a family member expressing my heartfelt gratitude for the extraordinary effort and care that the Care Home Manager and team put into celebrating my dad's 100th birthday. Your dedication to making the day special brought us immense joy. From the thoughtful decorations to the warm atmosphere, every detail of the decorations reflected the care and attention you give to all the residents. Your compassion and professionalism mean so much - not just to our father, but to all of us who have the privilege of witnessing the love and care to make each resident feel valued by the wonderful team.

The care provided for my husband is outstanding. The staff are caring and go above and beyond with my husband and our family when we visit. My niece visited today for a function, the staff made her welcome, the food was fantastic and the staff did a lovely dance performance. Fantastic team of staff at this care home.

Clean place with staff always at hand and quick to cater to your needs. Staff are easy to locate and they're friendly. Rooms are kept clean. Parking is good. Food is very good and drinks and smoothies in between are regularly given. No faults. Sheets are always clean. The nurse is constantly on duty and when doctors are required, this is done quickly. The manager introduced herself from the very first day and has kept me updated on things.

Mum has been a resident of Aston House for many years, we have been so happy with the care Mum has received while she has been a resident. She is clean and cared for and seems very content. I am always amazed by the compassion shown by all the staff Mum has interaction with. I don't know what would have happened over the recent years if Mum wasn't at Aston House. Thank you all.

Staff always seem caring and attentive, although due to the pandemic less direct contact possible. Being able to have the video calls would be good although occasional visits are now allowed. Some formal report (quarterly) on how my sister was doing would be nice. Overall, she does seem settled and is okay and seems to like the food.
