Today I visited my mother in the garden of Aston House, I was very pleased to see her looking so well and cared for as I hadn't been for over a month as I was away. The staff were very kind and friendly as always. We re very fortunate to have found such a nice care home for my mum.

My dad sadly passed away on 30/03/2020 after 5 months at Aston House Care Home. I can not fault my dads care while in Aston House. After months of long hospital stays and fighting over funding to say I was extremely pleased when he was placed in Aston House was an understatement. The home is very well run by the manager, who is not afraid to lead by example and work on shift when needed. It was also lovely to see regular carers and nurses whenever I visited dad. He had a lovely room which we were allowed to personalise for him and his guests were always made to feel very welcome. My dad had a lot of his family visit him and they all thought very highly of the home. If I did bring small things up with the manager they were always dealt with and never forgotten. My dads care needs were very high at the end but he was looked after very well and I could not have wished for more - Thank you to all the team.

This care home looked after my mother for about five years until she recently passed away. It was mainly the same staff for the whole of this time, and they were always kind, considerate and respectful.

I highly recommend this home.

Dad only spent about 9 months in the care of Aston House but these last months with them saw my dad as happy as he could be. The care provided by the staff showed me that he was as special to them as he was to our family.

Two staff were amongst his favourite ladies. He died surrounded by ladies who cared for him. I can think of no better place for my dad to have been when he died. Thank you, staff and residents, at Aston House.

Overall, we are very satisfied that our mother is receiving the best care that she could have.
The staff are all excellent and our mother is treated with dignity, despite her dementia.
Cleanliness is something that needs addressing though, as I have previously reported.

Overall though, we are very satisfied.

Thank you for your comments. We have had the opportunity to discuss your concerns regarding cleanliness and I confirm that we have put a plan in place to ensure regular checks are carried out and have been discussed with staff during daily meetings. In addition, I am personally checking your mother’s room at least three times a day to ensure the room is clean and tidy.

My ex-husband is very comfortable and very well cared for in Aston House. The staff and carers are very considerate and kind.

My ex-husband has been a resident now for three years. We really feel blessed that his needs are met on all occasions. One member of staff, in particular, is very perceptive and kind. My ex-husband can be very stubborn and sometimes needs to be handled with consideration. Thank you.

We were understandably reluctant about putting Nan in a home of any kind but I am relieved that we found Aston House. The staff here go above and beyond and have made the transition for Nan (who has Alzheimer's) very easy.
She recently had a wonderful birthday party, put on by the staff.

Thank you all!

Whenever I visit my mother I am made to feel welcome and am offered tea or coffee. The staff in the lounge with the patients are attentive to residents and endeavour to involve them in activities where possible and try to support them in any distress. I am very happy with the care my mother receives.
