Our father was 92 and was put in care after a hip operation because he would not co-operate with the physio's to walk. The carers had a lot of patience and encouraged him daily to the point where he began to use a walking frame to shuffle along. We would visit our father daily, one of the family members
would be with him from morning till evening. We believe his mobility would have continued to improve, but sadly we were all locked down. The home, in my opinion, acted correctly in isolating the residents and stopping visits from families. We continued to contact the home for daily update and where possible a video call or conversation on the phone. Sadly our father passed away in his sleep, it was not due to Covid, nor was there any trace of the virus within him. We could not have asked for any better care for our father and thank all the staff for all they did prior to Covid and during Covid.

The facilities are fine and "real" care is provided by the staff and that's what makes this care home. A recommendation from my family. The people genuinely care with enormous amounts of patience in often tricky situations. All the staff want to do the best they can for all the residents.

I came in here in June 2019 because I felt I was too much stress for my son. I had lived with him for almost 1 year, but on 22nd May (Whitson) I had a bad cough and I believe I had another stroke. I went into hospital. After going home for a while my son drove me to care home in Shropshire and then
on to see my sister and niece near Aberystwith. I was still very week when I cam home and it was recommended I cam to Bridge House Care Home. I felt very strange but the recommendation was the very best plan.

The care in Bridge House is to a very good standard.
Our mum is always happy, well cared for always clean and fresh. Staff always on hand and happy to talk to us. Very active in the home.

My mum stayed at Bridge House at the end of her life with end-stage dementia. I couldn't have asked for more genuinely caring and kinder people for her to be with at the end of her days. All the members of staff I dealt with were lovely and they did everything they could do to make Mum comfortable.
Bridge House is a very welcoming and warm hearted place and I would recommend it to anybody.

I was transferred from hospital and feeling apprehensive. When I arrived at Bridge House I was greeted by a lovely smiling lady who made me feel confident. Everyone there was so pleasant and caring, always a smile. We had some laughs and the whole atmosphere was cheerful. The physios were great and
helped me so much. Everything was prepared at home ready for my discharge. I am very grateful.

I was transferred here for rehab following cardiac surgery. I have received excellent physiotherapy which has enabled me to walk again and climb the stairs.
Very good general care helpful and kind staff. Varied menu well cooked by an excellent chef comfortable room cleaned regularly.

Non-English speaking staff should be more caring,
Physiotherapy very good especially at the weekend.
The hairdresser was good and cheap.
Chiropodist was too expensive (£20) for only 10 minutes,
Food excellent but not a big enough gap between breakfast and lunch - hence couldn't eat lunch.
