Mum is very happy here. All staff are very helpful, friendly and very good activities for all residents. Mum calls all the staff her friends and is always saying "how good they are to her and so helpful", that is normally the 1st thing she says when I arrive to visit her. I am very happy she is here,
as I know she is always looked after very well.

My friend has been in for some time now, overall, the care she gets is good. I know the staff are pushed to the limit in the way of "not enough staff". All the staff are friendly and polite, and most of them get on well with the residents. The only thing I would change, and I appreciate it is difficult,
but I do believe more staff is needed.

All the staff are very helpful and ensure the residents needs are met, whenever possible.

My wife has been in Ashbrook for a year. As a regular visitor, I can say that in the unit she is in, the staff are always attentive. Activities are varied, and when possible, my wife is encouraged to join in. When she was first admitted, I was concerned she would not eat the food supplied. I need not
have worried, she enjoys the midday meals, and therefore I think she enjoys breakfast and supper. Being on the lower ground floor, she has immediate access to both gardens, which allows her some outside exercise and fresh air. All in all, I am well satisfied with the home.

I was disappointed on the cleaness of the room for my grandma, I had to come and clean it. It could do with new carpet and new bathrooms it looks dated and with the money they charge could do this. A lady in blue uniform dropped a tablet on the dirty floor and was going to give it to. My grandma, she
said it's ok - if I was here she would have given to my grandma - disgusting.

My mother in law was in Woodlands for 18 months until she passed away. My husband and myself could not have wished for better care and kindness to her all the time she was there. The carers were so patient with her, kept her spotlessly clean did drawing with her even one day painted her nails for her
what she was thrilled with, kept us up to date with all her medication and change of treatment. I will never be able to thank them enough, also made it so much easier for us knowing she was well looked after and happy. Thank you.

My then 81 year old mum was submitted in Feb. When I visited a few days later to my horror I found mum with a horrendous black eye and half her face and head completely bruised. Nobody from the home knew what had happened or how mum sustained her injuries. They hadn't informed the family of an incident
or called an ambulance. Totally appalling. The manager couldn't shed any light and quickly told me and my brother mum was not welcome due to our reaction. We naturally reacted how anyone would. So mum was homeless. I insisted an ambulance was called. Mum was taken to the hospital that day. She could walk then but quickly lost that ability in the hospital. Over 5 months later the family are still waiting for answers. The home has still not provided their report. I would strongly advise caution when putting a loved one in this place. Something happened to my mum. It seems like the home do not want anyone to know the truth. Please take note of this and stay clear. It has ruined mum's life.

Unfortunately the experience of my mum was poor and not recommended. I don't' write reviews often.
My mum came here from hospital to free a hospital bed. I was in the process of moving her nearer to my family. She was only a resident for 3 weeks. Here we go.

The food was average
No one asks a

visitor if they would like a hot drink. Even if staff are not busy and just sitting in the same room. I once asked for a tea for my mum and got coffee, if you get the small details wrong. You wont get the big things right.
I was not aware my mum went into the gardens on the ground floor once. Despite the heat.
On the 2nd floor they have 2 flicking lights for the 3 weeks she has been there. No change.
My wife was asked to fill in numerous papers of information. Only to be rang at 9 pm for the same!
My mum has now died. My wife and I went to pick up some pictures and a rosary. We asked for the balance of her account. Only to be told. Come back in two weeks as the person is on holiday!!!!!

Our dad received exceptional care in his final weeks in Parkview. He was treated with the utmost compassion, kindness, dignity and respect at all times. This was our observation of the other residents too.
It was a very difficult time for us but knowing he was being looked after so well made all the
difference. We felt listened to and understood which was so important to us.
Every one of the team work long hours and so hard and they are all dedicated to their work.
We could not have wished for a better place for our dad to be. If you are looking for a home for your loved one to be well cared for you will find no better place.
