I am very grateful to Mable and all her staff for keeping my father saf and well cared for. The nurses and newly qualified carers have so much compassion and are always pleasant and understanding. The handling techniques are safe, and the carers and nurses deal with any conflicts in a kind & supportive
manner. The care manager and the clinical (Judith) should be given extra recommendations of high quality care on a restrictive budget. I am also pleased that some nurses will be going on to become doctors.
Reply from Amit Patel, Business Manager at Abbey Ravenscroft Park Nursing HomeHi there, Thank you very much for your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that your father is safe and well cared for, and that you have found our nurses and carers to be compassionate, professional, and supportive. Your comments about our safe handling practices and team approach are greatly appreciated. We will also share your recognition with the Care Manager and Judith, as well as the wider team, who will be very encouraged by your words. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience-it means a great deal to us.

There's a level of chaos in the nursing home that never seems to settle. It's not dangerous, but it's not calming either. Clothes and items always went missing. Stuff was always being moved around, and the carers didn't clear out his room much, so there'd just be piles of things at times in his cupboards.
Things would break, and it would take weeks to get changed. There are also cockroaches in the kitchen. The staff are overworked, and some of them do not speak English well, so they do not understand your instructions, or you end up spending a lot of time explaining things. Staff are overstretched, whilst the management team and staff are trying their best. There's a lack of resources. There are many things that need improvement, including accessibility outside the building. The rooms are a decent size, but I think the overall nursing home needs refurbishing, more resources and staff. However, I am grateful for their efforts to take care of my relative as he has severe needs.

Dad was loved by staff, made to laugh, kept as busy as possible, kept clean, trimmed, left to rest when he wanted, his health issues identified and doctors and others brought in as necessary. We visited him on average 4/5 times a week and always greeted enthusiastically and made very welcome. And then
there was food (Dad loved it and was very well supplied). And then there was tea (Dad loved it and we rarely saw him without a cup). Dad passed in March 2026, after a very short spell in hospital.
Reply from Amit Patel, Business Manager at Parkside Nursing HomeHi there, Thank you for taking your time in sharing this review.
We are pleased to hear your father was very well cared for and deeply loved by both staff and family. He was kept comfortable, engaged, and treated with dignity, and your regular visits clearly meant a great deal to him.
The warmth you describe-along with his enjoyment of food and his constant cup of tea-paints a lovely picture of him.
We are sorry for your loss, but please do come and visit us when you are comfortable as we would love to see you.

I am very grateful to know that my husband is being looked after well. The staff is always very friendly and cheerful.
On special days like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and easter, there is usually live music and a delicious lunch for family and friends. Those occasions are always very special,
and everyone enjoys the celebration, the music and the dancing! So thank you all for your help, care and kindness.

My mum was sent to Moreland House under palliative care. She was there for five months. The care she was given was second to none; she was treated with dignity, care and consideration at all times by the team. They were excellent. The management were also outstanding with caring professional support
available at all times. I can't sing the praises of this home enough.

Dad has been at Bridge house for a few months now and we have seen the amazing kindness and compassion shown to him and us by every member of the team at Bridge house wether it's from the nurses, health care assistants, cleaners, or admin / maintenance people they are the true definition of a team,
all acting with compassion, patience and professionalism trying to make dads life as safe and comfortable as possible.
Everyone is very kind and respectful they treat each resident as an individual, as dementia affects everyone in different ways so there is no one size fits all here. Lots of dementia friendly activities are planned, daily, if dad wants to join in and if he doesn't then that's fine too.
Bridge house is always clean calm and homely. Dad is always washed and dressed smart. Food is all home cooked it looks lovely with a few options to choose from and plenty of it.
The home is well staffed and the home manager is always available for a chat or for advise. Thank you everyone

Mum was very happy here and always thought of all staff as her friends. A few weeks ago she had a meeting with a social worker and told him how well she was looked after and how good they all were to her. Activities are always good here and always something for residents to take part in if they want
to. All staff are very kind and always very helpful and genuine.
