I am very happy with the care that my husband receives. I am also lucky as he has a one to one care support.
He has settled in his environment and he is comfortable. Although he has a one to one, the other staff are supportive of him. I know the home very well as I see my husband every day.

I am grateful for everything.

Although mum was fairly unaware of her surroundings, she appeared content and not unhappy. She was well cared for by the regular staff who got to know her well, sadly agency staff have to be used a lot of the time and do not have the same rapport.

We were very grateful for the kindness and care given to mum up to the end of her life.

I take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all at HC-One Cedar House Care Home Harefield. The care given to my husband was amazing they have also supported me 100% during this sad time.

The Manager of Cedar House Harefield all of your staff are fantastic, they all give over and above the call of duty, from housekeepers, admin, catering and nursing staff I thank you all, if it was not for your dedicated care I may have lost my husband before.

There is so much bad news in the Media about care homes, but this one is a gold star home.

I thank you all xx

Mum moved into Cedar House in January 2017 and I could not be happier with her care. The staff are amazing and very caring. She is kept clean and warm at all times. She is treated with dignity, the rooms are clean and bright and the manager is a lovely lady. I am 100% happy with Mum living at Cedars.

Has made progress. Staff are well trained and observant. It is a happier place and information about patients and the premises/activities are regularly shared.

Congratulations to all concerned. Your job is not easy but your work is vital. Thank you for providing a good service and a home for my aunt at a difficult time.

On my mother's arrival, she was greeted by a young carer. She knelt down to speak to her in a most caring manner. She was respectful and spoke to her as an adult. The carer was very young and really impressed me and I will never forget.

I was happy to leave my husband in the good care of the manager and her team at Cedar House Care Home whilst I had a much-needed break. I knew that he would be cared for in a professional environment with friendly, capable and caring staff.

I will be happy to use the service again in the future.

My mother has been a resident for 6 months now, she is looked after and cared for extremely well. As a family, we are more than happy. This is a very well run nursing home. I have moved 90 miles away from the home now, I will visit less often but I am more than confident that my mother is very well looked after. Thank you team.

Review from Terry (Husband of Resident) published on 9 November 2016 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The staff and management are friendly and work very hard. They are always willing to listen and help. The home is kept clean even though it can be difficult. I would like to see more fruit available although I only see some meals. It would be nice to see more activities, even if it was basic. Would it be a good idea to offer people who are trying to break into the entertainment world the chance to have an audience?

The resident came in from being in hospital not eating and drinking much. She was treated with tit bits that she would like and within ten days was eating and drinking normally. The resident is treated as an individual and with respect. Understanding her needs, likes and dislikes is hugely important. All the staff are caring and giving of their time.

My father in law was in the cedar house nursing home for about 6 weeks prior to his death a few weeks ago. We felt that he was related with dignity during his time there. He was warm comfortable and had everything he needed or wanted. The carers were friendly and attentive and we were very happy with his care.
