My mother was in Crossways for just over 2 years and passed away in March from dementia.
She was very well looked after, the staff were amazing.
They were always getting the residents to take part in activities on special occasions and during the week.

A special mention to one lady in particular - thank you for spending time with Mum.

My mother was cared for very well in Crossways Nursing Home. The team and all the staff are amazing. She spent the final year of her life there and always seemed very happy. They always made us as a family very welcome to visit at any time.

They looked after my mum with dementia, the staff were ok with mum. The food was not too bad. Friendly staff who would have a word with you. You could have a meeting with the people who look after Mum and tell them what she did when she was younger and her likes.

I would highly recommend this home to anyone - it's an amazing home, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Management there is so good, and I love the fact they still have activities that are so good.
The food is really good - very well-balanced meals, none of this fancy stuff, trying to cook restaurant type meals, by that I mean all fancy and exotic, just good wholesome food very well cooked.

So if you're looking for a break or somewhere to live, I'd recommend it highly. It's wheelchair friendly, and they have two gardens( one is private in size), so if you just wanted to be on your own, you could, and the other one is being re-done - it will look amazing when finished.

If you are looking for a nursing home for a loved one where they will be cared for and looked after in every way, look no further than Crossways Nursing Home.
Crossways is well led and all the staff are kind and caring.

My mum loved and was loved by the most amazing people at Crossways. They were competent, knowledgeable and respectful. I had complete confidence that all her needs were being met. When I left after visiting I knew that she was being cared for in a safe place and that her comfort was a top priority.

Both my father and mother had been in Crossways Nursing Home until recently when unfortunately both died.

I cannot praise the care home enough for the way they treated both my parents, equally with care and compassion.

My mother spent her last year of life in Crossways Nursing Home before she sadly passed away this month. She took a while to settle in and there were lots of readjustments to be made for all of us as she got used to her new home. The staff and manager became good friends to us, as her family, who visited her regularly. Every time we visited we could always engage with staff about her care and they were always available to chat to about any of our concerns.
Our mother celebrated her 90th birthday earlier this year and a real fuss was made of her - complete with a beautiful homemade birthday cake.

We felt strongly supported by the staff at the time of my mother's passing which was a great comfort to us and we were comforted by being able to be with her at the end.

The partner of my mother's late cousin contacted Crossways Nursing Home, requiring immediate palliative care. He was visited by the manager to make arrangements and moved there a week later. When I visited, my first impressions of the overall appearance and cleanliness of the home were very good but it was the kindness and efficiency of the staff involved in his care that really impressed me.
I do not live locally but was on my way to visit again when the manager phoned to say he had suddenly deteriorated, I arrived in time to sit with him until he passed away very peacefully a couple of hours later.

I am thankful that he was able to spend his last few weeks being cared for properly, day and night. His ability to manage his condition had decreased significantly and had he remained at home, the symptoms he experienced would have been extremely distressing for him. Having nursing staff looking after him continuously was of great comfort to him, as well as to the rest of us - thank you.

The care my mother has received at Crossways Nursing Home has been excellent, far better than we could have hoped for. The staff are lovely and very understanding, even when she is not having such a good day, it has definitely given her more quality of life.

The Care Home really looked after my Mum for over 7 months, nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel very welcome, every time I visited my Mum. Her room was clean and we were able to use the garden facilities and bring our dog to see my Mum, which gave her and the other residents great pleasure. I would totally recommend the Care Home.

Dad was a resident at Crossways Nursing Home for two years until he sadly passed away in May 2022.
During this time he received excellent care from the staff who went over and above their call of duty in ensuring all his needs were met.
In March 2022 he celebrated his 69th wedding anniversary and the staff organised a room, beautifully decorated, where he, my mother and sisters could mark the occasion with photographs and a fish and chip supper. His individual needs were always catered for
and his bedroom was roomy, nicely decorated and ensuite.
The activities coordinators provide an excellent service in ensuring they tailor activities to meet individuals' interests.

Would definitely recommend Crossways.

My husband has been a resident of Crossways Nursing Home for several years now. The staff have looked after him very well, especially during the Covid outbreak. They are all very caring and try to ensure that his needs are met. If there are any issues, the staff are easy to talk to and will go out of their way to help with any concerns. I would always recommend the home to others.

My great-aunt has been a resident at Crossways Nursing Home since February 2022 and I have found that the care my great-aunt receives is very good and the staff are very caring. My great-aunt recently celebrated her birthday and the staff decorated a room with birthday banners and we had afternoon tea and birthday cake. The staff did all they could to make her birthday amazing. There are lots of activities and events for the residents and recently my family and myself attended the BBQ held there to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. It was a wonderful afternoon with great food and entertainment.

Mum has been a resident in Crossways Nursing Home since September 2021 and I am so pleased we found such a lovely home for her. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and Mum's room is very pleasant, light, airy and spacious. All the staff are very caring and understanding of the varying needs of their residents and go out of their way to ensure the comfort and well-being of the residents. The activities and outings which are arranged for those who wish to participate are excellent. It really is a home from home for both the residents and their families.

Crossways Care home provided first class care to my mother who was suffering from cancer and related illnesses. I have no doubt this care lengthened her life.

The home is exceptionally clean, very spacious, has lovely rooms and most importantly has genuine staff who care.

The home goes out of its way to organise activities and trips out for the residents. In addition, they look to involve the family too.

There is a real family atmosphere at the home and it is extremely well managed.

Our family could not have asked for a better place for our mother to reside during her final six months. Amazing home.

My friend commenced her stay at Crossways Nursing Home in April 2021. On arrival, her room was very clean and bright and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Throughout her time at Crossways, she was kept clean and very comfortable. All her needs were met and when she became demanding the staff were very understanding. I was very impressed and completely satisfied with all the care and attention she received and will certainly recommend Crossways Nursing Home.

My mother spent time in Crossways Nursing Home in respite a few years ago and when she sadly could not live at home anymore because of her disability she moved into the home in June 2019. After visiting a number of care homes in Sutton I settled on Crossways mainly because of the manager who runs the home as she supported me through difficult times and the staff were always kind and considerate to Mum and myself. Activities run by the staff help to keep the residents happy and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Sadly Mum passed away in December 2020 and although a very hard time I was supported throughout.

My mum was placed into Crossways Nursing home for palliative end of life care. I was extremely pleased with the care they provided my mum. They were considerate of her condition and needs and I personally feel these were fully met. The council changed my mum's room band which really distressed my mum and the management staff were able to advise us on a viable alternative and went out of their way to reassure and facilitate my mum's requirements, finding a workable solution.
My mum's end of life crossed into the beginning of lockdown. The staff and manager kept me up to date with her condition and between us we were able to find workable and safe distanced visits at essential times. Alleviating what could have been a very distressing for my mum and family.

For all of this, I would like to say a very big thank you to all at Crossways.

We didn’t have a lot of time to research the right care home for my dad as his needs changed very rapidly and of course, the current situation makes everything more difficult. We are very lucky that it was Crossways where he received his palliative care. They were kind, understanding of his needs and supportive to us.

My mother went to Crossways following an operation for a broken hip in St Helier. The staff were incredibly kind to her and very caring. It was a difficult time for us as we were unable to visit her during the initial two weeks of quarantine and after that, could only talk through a garden window. The Crossways team looked after her really well. They made it easy for us to talk to her on the telephone almost every day. The Occupational Therapist and the Physio team worked extremely hard with her and we are now trying to carry on their good work. We are very grateful for all the care she received and would like to put that on record. Thank you.
