Crossways Nursing Home is a 'home from home' provider of 24-hour nursing care. A team of skilled carers takes pride in person-centred methods, for both short and long-term needs, with respite care arranged subject to bed availability. Situated in a quiet, leafy area of Sutton adjacent to a small park, residents are a 15 minute walk from Sutton mainline station and on the S4 and 470 bus routes. Accommodation is provided in two twin bedded and thirty-six single rooms, nineteen of which have en suite facilities. The home has four well-equipped bathrooms, one shower room and separate WC.

The Care Home really looked after my Mum for over 7 months, nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel very welcome, every time I visited my Mum. Her room was clean and we were able to use the garden facilities and bring our dog to see my Mum, which gave her and the other residents great pleasure.
I would totally recommend the Care Home.

Dad was a resident at Crossways Nursing Home for two years until he sadly passed away in May 2022.
During this time he received excellent care from the staff who went over and above their call of duty in ensuring all his needs were met.
In March 2022 he celebrated his 69th wedding anniversary and
the staff organised a room, beautifully decorated, where he, my mother and sisters could mark the occasion with photographs and a fish and chip supper. His individual needs were always catered for
and his bedroom was roomy, nicely decorated and ensuite.
The activities coordinators provide an excellent service in ensuring they tailor activities to meet individuals' interests.
Would definitely recommend Crossways.

My husband has been a resident of Crossways Nursing Home for several years now. The staff have looked after him very well, especially during the Covid outbreak. They are all very caring and try to ensure that his needs are met. If there are any issues, the staff are easy to talk to and will go out of
their way to help with any concerns. I would always recommend the home to others.

My great-aunt has been a resident at Crossways Nursing Home since February 2022 and I have found that the care my great-aunt receives is very good and the staff are very caring. My great-aunt recently celebrated her birthday and the staff decorated a room with birthday banners and we had afternoon tea
and birthday cake. The staff did all they could to make her birthday amazing. There are lots of activities and events for the residents and recently my family and myself attended the BBQ held there to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. It was a wonderful afternoon with great food and entertainment.

Mum has been a resident in Crossways Nursing Home since September 2021 and I am so pleased we found such a lovely home for her. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and Mum's room is very pleasant, light, airy and spacious. All the staff are very caring and understanding of the varying needs of their residents
and go out of their way to ensure the comfort and well-being of the residents. The activities and outings which are arranged for those who wish to participate are excellent. It really is a home from home for both the residents and their families.

My dad has been a resident at Crossways Nursing Home since June 2020. In the last two years, every time we have visited or contacted the home the staff have always been friendly and approachable, taking time to listen to us responding to our questions and providing information. All staff demonstrate
they care for the residents by taking time with them, chatting to them and treating them with dignity and respect.
Now that Covid restrictions have relaxed, it was lovely to be able to go into the home in May 2022 with other family members of residents to help tidy and renovate the courtyard area for the residents to enjoy. A good time was had by everyone who attended and a great opportunity for other families of residents to get to know each other.
Likewise, the Jubilee celebration barbeque held on 4th June was a great success with residents, family members and staff all coming together to enjoy the food and entertainment organised by the home.
Well done to all the staff for their hard work.

Crossways Care home provided first class care to my mother who was suffering from cancer and related illnesses. I have no doubt this care lengthened her life.


The home is exceptionally clean, very spacious, has lovely rooms and most importantly has genuine staff who care.


The home goes out of

its way to organise activities and trips out for the residents. In addition, they look to involve the family too.


There is a real family atmosphere at the home and it is extremely well managed.


Our family could not have asked for a better place for our mother to reside during her final six months. Amazing home.

My friend commenced her stay at Crossways Nursing Home in April 2021. On arrival, her room was very clean and bright and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Throughout her time at Crossways, she was kept clean and very comfortable. All her needs were met and when she became demanding the staff
were very understanding. I was very impressed and completely satisfied with all the care and attention she received and will certainly recommend Crossways Nursing Home.

My mother spent time in Crossways Nursing Home in respite a few years ago and when she sadly could not live at home anymore because of her disability she moved into the home in June 2019. After visiting a number of care homes in Sutton I settled on Crossways mainly because of the manager who runs the
home as she supported me through difficult times and the staff were always kind and considerate to Mum and myself. Activities run by the staff help to keep the residents happy and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Sadly Mum passed away in December 2020 and although a very hard time I was supported throughout.

My mum was placed into Crossways Nursing home for palliative end of life care. I was extremely pleased with the care they provided my mum. They were considerate of her condition and needs and I personally feel these were fully met. The council changed my mum's room band which really distressed my mum
and the management staff were able to advise us on a viable alternative and went out of their way to reassure and facilitate my mum's requirements, finding a workable solution.
My mum's end of life crossed into the beginning of lockdown. The staff and manager kept me up to date with her condition and between us we were able to find workable and safe distanced visits at essential times. Alleviating what could have been a very distressing for my mum and family.
For all of this, I would like to say a very big thank you to all at Crossways.

My mother went to Crossways following an operation for a broken hip in St Helier. The staff were incredibly kind to her and very caring. It was a difficult time for us as we were unable to visit her during the initial two weeks of quarantine and after that, could only talk through a garden window. The
Crossways team looked after her really well. They made it easy for us to talk to her on the telephone almost every day. The Occupational Therapist and the Physio team worked extremely hard with her and we are now trying to carry on their good work. We are very grateful for all the care she received and would like to put that on record. Thank you.

At a time when you may feel vulnerable, it's assuring to know that the staff do more than their job - they help you. Caring is a wide term and in every respect we felt secure and they helped iron out difficulties that was not of their making. The staff are very friendly and so kind. Healing is not just
serving the body, it caring for the emotional needs too. Crossways scores 10/10 in my books - and I should know, I am a healthcare professional myself.

My father has dementia and has been at Crossways since February 2017. The care he has received since being there is outstanding. The carers have a genuine interest in my father and his family and they are kind thoughtful and respectful. There is always a member of the management team available to help
and answer any questions. Crossways is very much like a large family and it is so reassuring to know that he is safe and so well looked after by experienced staff who have been there for many years. Thank you so much to all the staff at Crossways.

All the staff at Crossways Nursing Homes were kind and caring to my mum throughout her stay there. In particular, I would like to thank the manager who helped us in our liaison with the NHS staff and prepared mum well, for her onward journey to her new care home close to us.

My elderly mother had significant issues and was very difficult to manage. Prior to her being a resident at Crossways, she was in a much larger well-known chain of care homes. The carers at the large care home were poorly trained, staff turnover was high and her care was not personal enough. Critical
clinical issues were being missed as a result. Simply put - had I not moved my mother to Crossways she would have died in that large well decorated 'posh' care home in a matter of weeks. Crossways is small, personal and has experienced staff who have been there for many years. Crossways staff were always very helpful, great communicators and are of the highest integrity. Despite me living overseas, I could trust Crossways to do the right thing for my mother and keep me honestly informed.
My mother has since made a good recovery and no longer needs 24/7 care at Crossways ; thanks to the manager and her team.

A really well run and clean care home, that looks after everyone extremely well. Food is of a high standard and there are plenty of activities for the residents. The staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable, they always have time for you.

Very caring and affectionate care was given to my father the two months he was there which is the most important. However, as I live abroad, I would have appreciated email response and it to be frequent. I wrote emails and they were not answered. The food could have been more exciting, home-made and
more varied. I would have expected decaffeinated coffee and tea which hydrates as opposed to normal tea and coffee which does not. I asked for apple juice to be given to my father to encourage him to drink more so as to avoid renal infections and this was not followed through in my absence.

Our team is headed up by Sarah Stacey, who has been in the care industry for twenty years. She joined Crossways in 2010 as the Business Manager and became the Home Manager in 2014. Sarah strives to ensure the effective delivery of high holistic person-centred care in a safe environment. She leads by example and works with a dedicated team to provide high standards of care in a homely and happy environment. She has always maintained good relationships and works with the local authority and Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group. Sarah is the nursing home representative for Sutton.
