The registered manager and her team delivered outstanding care, the commitment, communication, consistency and continuity was absolutely magnificent. All the staff provided compassion, companionship and support for my father while he stayed at Crossways for one week respite care. Navigating dementia is no easy feat and at times it can feel very lonely, not only for the person who has the condition but also for the carer, I learnt a lot through talking to staff, the registered manager and another staff member, they have made a challenging path less daunting and provided much needed respite for my sister and I. There was a lovely family feel to this care home, the dedication, patience, kindness and moreover empathy was wonderful to witness, if I was elderly I would quite happily live my latter years here. Well done everyone!

All the staff were very caring with my husband and also the family. He was in twice and was always treated with dignity and respect. The staff were especially caring in his final days and were very considerate to the family. I would not hesitate to recommend Crossways to anybody who is looking for a caring nursing home.

Dad spent two periods in Crossways and was always looked after extremely well by kind and caring staff. Sadly Dad passed away in June and the care in his final days was kind and compassionate. The staff were also kind to us and nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly recommend Crossways to anyone looking for a place for a loved one, either for respite or more long-term.

My mother was a resident at Crossways for just over four years up until her passing in June 2023. During that time she constantly received an excellent level of care from each and every member of staff. From the outset, it was made clear that transparency was a key issue and that family members were encouraged to visit their loved ones at any time without having to give due notice. This particular policy alone provided comfort and reassurance that there are no 'show times' when the home prepares itself and the residents concerned and that, as a consequence, standards have to be maintained 24/7. A special word as well for all those involved in providing meaningful activities for residents to undertake, which also extended to listening and joining in with outside entertainers. Most important of all, the family as a whole could rest assured that during a difficult period of time, Mum was in extremely safe and secure hands.

A special mention to one lady in particular - thank you for spending time with Mum.

My mother was cared for very well in Crossways Nursing Home. The team and all the staff are amazing. She spent the final year of her life there and always seemed very happy. They always made us as a family very welcome to visit at any time.

They looked after my mum with dementia, the staff were ok with mum. The food was not too bad. Friendly staff who would have a word with you. You could have a meeting with the people who look after Mum and tell them what she did when she was younger and her likes.

So if you're looking for a break or somewhere to live, I'd recommend it highly. It's wheelchair friendly, and they have two gardens( one is private in size), so if you just wanted to be on your own, you could, and the other one is being re-done - it will look amazing when finished.

My mum loved and was loved by the most amazing people at Crossways. They were competent, knowledgeable and respectful. I had complete confidence that all her needs were being met. When I left after visiting I knew that she was being cared for in a safe place and that her comfort was a top priority.

I cannot praise the care home enough for the way they treated both my parents, equally with care and compassion.

We felt strongly supported by the staff at the time of my mother's passing which was a great comfort to us and we were comforted by being able to be with her at the end.

I am thankful that he was able to spend his last few weeks being cared for properly, day and night. His ability to manage his condition had decreased significantly and had he remained at home, the symptoms he experienced would have been extremely distressing for him. Having nursing staff looking after him continuously was of great comfort to him, as well as to the rest of us - thank you.

The Care Home really looked after my Mum for over 7 months, nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel very welcome, every time I visited my Mum. Her room was clean and we were able to use the garden facilities and bring our dog to see my Mum, which gave her and the other residents great pleasure. I would totally recommend the Care Home.

My husband has been a resident of Crossways Nursing Home for several years now. The staff have looked after him very well, especially during the Covid outbreak. They are all very caring and try to ensure that his needs are met. If there are any issues, the staff are easy to talk to and will go out of their way to help with any concerns. I would always recommend the home to others.

My great-aunt has been a resident at Crossways Nursing Home since February 2022 and I have found that the care my great-aunt receives is very good and the staff are very caring. My great-aunt recently celebrated her birthday and the staff decorated a room with birthday banners and we had afternoon tea and birthday cake. The staff did all they could to make her birthday amazing. There are lots of activities and events for the residents and recently my family and myself attended the BBQ held there to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. It was a wonderful afternoon with great food and entertainment.

Mum has been a resident in Crossways Nursing Home since September 2021 and I am so pleased we found such a lovely home for her. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and Mum's room is very pleasant, light, airy and spacious. All the staff are very caring and understanding of the varying needs of their residents and go out of their way to ensure the comfort and well-being of the residents. The activities and outings which are arranged for those who wish to participate are excellent. It really is a home from home for both the residents and their families.

Crossways Care home provided first class care to my mother who was suffering from cancer and related illnesses. I have no doubt this care lengthened her life.

The home is exceptionally clean, very spacious, has lovely rooms and most importantly has genuine staff who care.

The home goes out of its way to organise activities and trips out for the residents. In addition, they look to involve the family too.

There is a real family atmosphere at the home and it is extremely well managed.

Our family could not have asked for a better place for our mother to reside during her final six months. Amazing home.
