This home I feel is not providing a good service for the fees they are charging. Residents are not treated with any dignity. Lack of fluids, meals are very poor, cleanliness very poor. Mice seen running around. Complaints not acted on by senior staff. HCS's very cold, does not speak to residents just
push and pull. Resident describe the treatment as been treated like a bit of meat. Overall the place is not a safe and caring place not fit for purpose. Most of the staff are leaving, turn over of staff is very poor.

I have mixed feelings about staff, building, catering and the general ethos of the home. Some staff are/were very good, others seemed not to care much about dignity, feelings of residents. Place seems un-cared for in a serious fashion.
Food is poor and sometimes does not reflect the description on
the printed menu.
Management seems at times unresponsive to complaints and comments.
I feel it is too expensive for the care packages on offer.

The nursing team and care assistants work very hard each shift showing each resident compassion, understanding and empathy. They are kind, considerate and very patient with the residents. There are plenty of choices when it comes to meals and everyone's individual preferences are catered for. Visitors
are welcome at any time of night or day and are encouraged to attend events.

Alexandra Albu

Job Title: Home Manager

As a Registered Nurse, Alexandra has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for residents.


Having worked at HC-One for many years, Alexandra closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Alexandra remarked:
“Seeing my residents enjoying their lives and seeing them happy. I like to think I am a caring person, and I enjoy helping people.”


Alexandra has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being supporting her dad through surviving cancer.


Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys spending time with her family, especially her godson, and reading.
