The dementia wing at The Harefield is a safe place for people with advanced dementia to receive expert care from well trained staff. As well as providing dementia care, The Harefield also offers palliative, convalescence and respite care in a separate wing of the home.
The home has been carefully designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment. Each wing features bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a pleasant lounge and dining area as well as gardens with a patio and flowers beds. Residents are encouraged to bring small pieces of their own furniture and ornaments, to help them settle in.
Recognised for its high quality food by a local authority’ inspection, the home is proud of the variety of food available to residents. Hot and cold beverages are available throughout the day and evening, as well as a late night snack menu.
With many interesting and engaging activities available to residents, the activity co-ordinator ensures that there are plenty of opportunities to keep residents active and stimulated. A weekly film afternoon is attended by many residents, as are performances by local entertainers.

It was a very hard decision to make when a nursing home had to be found for my mother, but after a long search, I found the best! The Harefield Care Home. My mother is treated with kindness, respect and dignity and has great person-centred care. The manager is a great role model, very supportive and is never too busy to see me . The atmosphere is homely. The cleanliness is excellent the food good and every member of the team shows professionalism at all times.
