My mother-in-law was a resident in Hill House for three years and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and understanding she was given by all the staff. The home was always spotless and never smelt. The food was of a very high standard. We were kept up to date on her wellbeing at all times. I cannot think of anything negative to say.

To be honest I couldn't have asked for a better place for my nan to spend her last few months. Lovely family atmosphere, caring and friendly staff, always activities and things going on but at the same time when and if you need space, peace and quiet it was there. My family and I couldn't be more grateful that nanny was able to see out her days in such wonderful surroundings. Many thanks to Hill House and all their staff.

My wife suffered from Alzheimers Dementia for 9 years and spent the last 5 weeks of her life in this excellent Nursing Home. Every member of the Management and staff of this excellent establishment treated her with the utmost care and dignity, and I know she appreciated the care she was given, by the dedicated and very professional team attending to her at this time.

During her stay at Hill House, my mother was looked after extremely well. The staff were so kind and caring and made every effort to make her stay as comfortable as they could. Facilities were excellent, activities were provided and mother was encouraged to participate. The only downside was the food was not always to mother liking. The lunch I had was excellent and included wine. I have recommended Hill House to friends.

From the start, the staff made my friend feel welcome. The staff are very professional in all aspects as well as caring. The activities laid on are varied and entertaining and caters to all levels of mobility. It was good to see the owner around and nothing was too much trouble. A huge thank you Hill House for everything.

The nursing care of Hill House Care Home should stand as the standard that all such homes should take as the acceptable standard of excellence. Their skills in all the qualities needed to care for the cased of dementia, frailties regardless of all ages and must be noted in forthcoming social care programmes of government and local councils.

Overall Experience

My wife received a most efficient, courteous and professional service whilst in short term respite care. The initial assessment was carried out promptly and conscientiously by two members of the Hill House professional team. This created much confidence in their ability to provide an appropriate and caring service.

The facilities (standard of room, catering and public area amenities) were excellent and the level of specialist nursing care and general hygiene, first class.

I would certainly give Hill House a 5 star recommendation.

My mother Ann was a resident for 15 months until she died in June 2015. The home is very clean and well run. All the staff are very friendly, caring and polite to all residents and welcoming to visitors. I did not have any worries about my Mother staying there and am very grateful that she ended her days in such a caring and compassionate place. I have only heard excellent reports about Hill House and would highly recommend them.
