Established in 1954 and now celebrating over 70 years of Care, Hill House Care Home is part of a third-generation family-run small group of Care Homes based in Surrey. Specialising in twenty-four-hour Nursing and Personal Care for older adults and supported by a skilled team of Registered Nurse Managers, Hill House provides a high standard of Nursing Care to meet the changing requirements of each resident.

Well located in a beautiful, leafy location in Kenley, the larger of the group's two homes offers a welcoming and lively atmosphere, accommodating up to 60 residents.

Founded in 1954, Hill House was originally a family home and has been wonderfully maintained with a purpose-built extension in 1990, as well as an extensive refurbishment in 2014. With ongoing developments, contemporary décor and a light and spacious environment, Hill House offers a real home-from-home setting and continues to meet the highest possible standards.

The CQC Registered Home Manager and the Clinical Lead manage Hill House with daily hands on input from the owners. There is a full catering team preparing delicious home-cooked meals for residents, led by a head chef, as well as in house activities and entertainment coordinators who plan regular events to suit the residents.

Hill House was awarded Care Home of the Year in the 2022 Gold Standards Framework awards and is accredited with Platinum status for End of Life Care, and was awarded Top 20 Small Care Home Group in the 2023 Carehome.co.uk awards.

Fees include general Nursing and Personal Care, all meals, in-home activities, and laundry services and are dependent upon the type of bedroom chosen. There may be an additional charge if a specific higher level or complex nursing care is required.


Nursing fees are also inclusive of the NHS Funded Nurse Care contribution of £254.06 per week. If a resident is eligible then this will be deducted from the prices listed.


Sundries, such as: hairdressing; chiropody; physio; external activities; and newspapers, are at an additional cost.

Hill House is such a friendly, happy home and for 6 weeks our father resided here for end of life care. He was treated with such kindness by all the staff and treated him with such dignity. We cannot thank Hill House enough for all their kindness and support.

The care was exceptional and always delivered in a considerate and respectful way. The staff were, without exception, kindness itself and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. It is a great comfort to know the loved one is in such good hands at times like this. I shall always be grateful to them.

The care of my brother was of the highest standard.
He was extremely difficult to care for but the staff were always kind, attentive and extremely professional in the care they provided.
The premises were immaculate in cleanliness.
Diets and meals were of the highest standard.

My wife received a most efficient, courteous and professional service whilst in short term respite care. The initial assessment was carried out promptly and conscientiously by two members of the Hill House professional team. This created much confidence in their ability to provide an appropriate and
caring service.


The facilities (standard of room, catering and public area amenities) were excellent and the level of specialist nursing care and general hygiene, first class.


I would certainly give Hill House a 5 star recommendation.

My mother Ann was a resident for 15 months until she died in June 2015. The home is very clean and well run. All the staff are very friendly, caring and polite to all residents and welcoming to visitors. I did not have any worries about my Mother staying there and am very grateful that she ended
her days in such a caring and compassionate place. I have only heard excellent reports about Hill House and would highly recommend them.
