I absolutely recommend Hill House Care Home and am so relieved that we chose here to care for my mum in her final weeks. The care they provide is exemplary, and every single member of staff are a credit to their profession. They provided help and support for me and my family and made all of us and my mum feel very much at home. There are lots of activities, the food is excellent and the rooms are lovely. The garden is beautiful. Anything we wanted or needed was provided and always with a smile.

My wife's Mother and my Mother in law was welcomed to Hill House on the 10th of December to be cared for with a terminal illness, the staff cared for her around the clock and were extremely kind and supportive to all of us, it was a stressful time but the staff and management did their best during that difficult time, sadly Mum passed away on the 3rd of July 2019, we are so glad we chose Hill House, Mum loved it there and spoke highly of the staff it made the whole experience easier to cope with knowing the support was there if we needed it, we cannot praise or thank them enough for their kindness and care and would recommend Hill House to anyone, all we can add is thank you all.

My mother is very happy at Hill House. The staff are kind, and the facilities are excellent. There is entertainment in the lounge most days. Today she was 'Resident of the Month' and we were treated to afternoon tea for the whole family, with mum at the head of the table, she was presented with flowers and a card.

My mother was in Hill House for over 3 1/2 years. In that time we saw her treated with the utmost care, patience and kindness. She felt safe and secure there. We could see ourselves how well she was being looked after and felt very happy leaving her in their hands. She very much enjoyed the view from her room and also liked to sit in the garden. There was a lot of entertainment laid on and this was greatly appreciated. She seemed to enjoy most of her food, which had a lot of variety and was always nicely presented and served. As visitors, we were always treated with kindness and respect and always offered refreshments. Towards the end of her life when more nursing and care was required the staff were exceptional - she loved them and they seemed to love her.

My mother has been at Hill house for over 3 years in which time I have got to know the lovely staff and seen their dedication and commitment.

We are always greeted with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. We were so lucky to have a lovely tea party for mum this weekend which was organised by the staff. It was beautifully presented and brought a tear to us for all the thought which had been put into this.

Couldn't be more grateful for the continued care for mum with genuine care and love. Lots of hugs and always there to reassure her when her moods are low.
There are always lots of activities to try and engage all residents who are able.

It's so good to know that mum is in good hands and we couldn't thank you all more.

Thank you

My mother has been resident at Hill House for over three years. During this time, the care that she receives has only ever been of the highest quality and it is for this reason that she is so happy to call it home. Management, nursing and care staff are excellent, very approachable and always available. In all areas, staff are professional, respectful, diligent and cheerful which makes for a very happy and homely environment. Meals are varied and plentiful, served by an excellent hospitality team, with family and friends always made welcome. The resourceful activities team provide daily occupation/entertainment which my mother always enjoys. For us as a family, it is extremely reassuring to know that mum feels safe, secure & content and all the staff must take credit for this being so. I can thoroughly recommend Hill House if you are looking for the best.

I do not know what we would have done without the caring, compassionate support of all the staff at Hill House over the last year. They tackle each issue as it arises with professionalism and a warm, caring attitude that makes the fragile situation my dear aunt is in more bearable. We are so grateful and owe them so much. My father is also a resident at another home and receives equally excellent care.

It was one of the most difficult things that my brother and I have had to do, to find suitable end of life care for our beloved mum. We looked at several residential homes, but as soon as we visited Hill House and met with the amazing staff, we instinctively knew we had found the right place for our mum. I am delighted to say that the quality of care and comfort exceeded our already high expectations and the attentiveness of all staff has been exceptional not only with mum but also the family. Sadly mum passed away last week, but we have nothing but praise and gratitude for the way in which mum's passing was handled by all staff and their highly sensitive and sympathetic Interaction with the family. A huge thank you to all at a Hill House for making mum's last days so comfortable and in such a loving and calm environment. We will be eternally grateful!

My Dad was a resident at Hill House for 4 and a half years. During this time he was always treated with respect, dignity, care and compassion. Mum and I visited him every day, so we got to know the home and staff very well. I am pleased to say that I can only give praise to the staff for their kindness and hard work and the running of the home in general. Entertainment and activities offered on a daily basis are great, as are the staff running them. Home cooked meals are always lovely too. The Hospitality Manager and her team have introduced some lovely ideas e.g. Teapot Tuesday where a lot of thought and attention to detail is given to make it as lovely as possible for residents to enjoy. All in all, I have no hesitation in recommending Hill House and would like to sincerely thank all the staff again for all their care and kindness shown to Dad. You are all dedicated and do a wonderful job, which as I well know can sometimes be very challenging for you. So keep up the good work.

My Mum was a resident at Hill House since September 2014 until her death in October 2018. I can only give praise to the care and compassion all the staff gave Mum during her stay. They not only gave care and support to Mum but also to her family. The care given was exemplary throughout Mum's stay. The chef and his team provide lovely meals and the entertainment and activities arranged are great. Mum was an active member of the Art Class until recently.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Hill House. They really do care.

Hill House is a very nice nursing home. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I do enjoy my stays there. As I am a vegetarian the cook found it difficult to cater for me this time. The fruit juice was very good.

I cannot praise Hill House Care Home enough. The care, compassion and friendship of the staff could not have been better. My Aunt stayed here twice, the first time to convalesce after surgery and, 4 years later, for end of life support. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

I had a very good experience, having reluctantly put my husband in care. Staff overall were good, with some outstanding in their standard of care. I was recommended to Hill House and felt it was right on my first visit. I was treated with care too, which was a great help in my husband's last days. Generally, a very nice atmosphere with staff cheerful and welcoming, I have no regrets for choosing Hill House.

From the day that my mum went to Hill House Care Home, she has been given the care I cannot find fault. The way she was looked after it was like being looked after by her own family. Although she could not help herself she was treated with respect and dignity. We were able to go home with peace of mind knowing that mum will be looked after. At first it was a difficult decision to leave my mum under the care of a nursing home. But the warmth and welcome feeling that we were given helped us in making the decision. We as a family highly recommend Hill House as the quality of care is beyond words.
