Established in 1954 and now celebrating over 70 years of Care, Hill House Care Home is part of a third-generation family-run small group of Care Homes based in Surrey. Specialising in twenty-four-hour Nursing and Personal Care for older adults and supported by a skilled team of Registered Nurse Managers, Hill House provides a high standard of Nursing Care to meet the changing requirements of each resident.

Well located in a beautiful, leafy location in Kenley, the larger of the group's two homes offers a welcoming and lively atmosphere, accommodating up to 60 residents.

Founded in 1954, Hill House was originally a family home and has been wonderfully maintained with a purpose-built extension in 1990, as well as an extensive refurbishment in 2014. With ongoing developments, contemporary décor and a light and spacious environment, Hill House offers a real home-from-home setting and continues to meet the highest possible standards.

The CQC Registered Home Manager and the Clinical Lead manage Hill House with daily hands on input from the owners. There is a full catering team preparing delicious home-cooked meals for residents, led by a head chef, as well as in house activities and entertainment coordinators who plan regular events to suit the residents.

Hill House was awarded Care Home of the Year in the 2022 Gold Standards Framework awards and is accredited with Platinum status for End of Life Care, and was awarded Top 20 Small Care Home Group in the 2023 Carehome.co.uk awards.

Nursing fees are also inclusive of the NHS Funded Nurse Care contribution of £254.06 per week. If a resident is eligible then this will be deducted from the prices listed.


Sundries, such as: hairdressing; chiropody; physio; external activities; and newspapers, are at an additional cost.

It was one of the most difficult things that my brother and I have had to do, to find suitable end of life care for our beloved mum. We looked at several residential homes, but as soon as we visited Hill House and met with the amazing staff, we instinctively knew we had found the right place for our
mum. I am delighted to say that the quality of care and comfort exceeded our already high expectations and the attentiveness of all staff has been exceptional not only with mum but also the family. Sadly mum passed away last week, but we have nothing but praise and gratitude for the way in which mum's passing was handled by all staff and their highly sensitive and sympathetic Interaction with the family. A huge thank you to all at a Hill House for making mum's last days so comfortable and in such a loving and calm environment. We will be eternally grateful!

My Dad was a resident at Hill House for 4 and a half years. During this time he was always treated with respect, dignity, care and compassion. Mum and I visited him every day, so we got to know the home and staff very well. I am pleased to say that I can only give praise to the staff for their kindness
and hard work and the running of the home in general. Entertainment and activities offered on a daily basis are great, as are the staff running them. Home cooked meals are always lovely too. The Hospitality Manager and her team have introduced some lovely ideas e.g. Teapot Tuesday where a lot of thought and attention to detail is given to make it as lovely as possible for residents to enjoy. All in all, I have no hesitation in recommending Hill House and would like to sincerely thank all the staff again for all their care and kindness shown to Dad. You are all dedicated and do a wonderful job, which as I well know can sometimes be very challenging for you. So keep up the good work.

My Mum was a resident at Hill House since September 2014 until her death in October 2018. I can only give praise to the care and compassion all the staff gave Mum during her stay. They not only gave care and support to Mum but also to her family. The care given was exemplary throughout Mum's stay.
The chef and his team provide lovely meals and the entertainment and activities arranged are great. Mum was an active member of the Art Class until recently.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Hill House. They really do care.

Hill House is a very nice nursing home. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I do enjoy my stays there. As I am a vegetarian the cook found it difficult to cater for me this time. The fruit juice was very good.

I cannot praise Hill House Care Home enough. The care, compassion and friendship of the staff could not have been better. My Aunt stayed here twice, the first time to convalesce after surgery and, 4 years later, for end of life support. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

During my period of convalescence at Hill House, I received warmth and kindness from the friendly and caring staff. Any assistance I required after my knee operation was given promptly and efficiently day or night. I had excellent accommodation with good and well-prepared meals. I felt happy and cared

I had a very good experience, having reluctantly put my husband in care. Staff overall were good, with some outstanding in their standard of care. I was recommended to Hill House and felt it was right on my first visit. I was treated with care too, which was a great help in my husband's last days. Generally,
a very nice atmosphere with staff cheerful and welcoming, I have no regrets for choosing Hill House.

From the day that my mum went to Hill House Care Home, she has been given the care I cannot find fault. The way she was looked after it was like being looked after by her own family. Although she could not help herself she was treated with respect and dignity. We were able to go home with peace of mind
knowing that mum will be looked after. At first it was a difficult decision to leave my mum under the care of a nursing home. But the warmth and welcome feeling that we were given helped us in making the decision. We as a family highly recommend Hill House as the quality of care is beyond words.

My mother-in-law was a resident in Hill House for three years and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and understanding she was given by all the staff. The home was always spotless and never smelt. The food was of a very high standard. We were kept up to date on her wellbeing at all times. I cannot

To be honest I couldn't have asked for a better place for my nan to spend her last few months. Lovely family atmosphere, caring and friendly staff, always activities and things going on but at the same time when and if you need space, peace and quiet it was there. My family and I couldn't be more grateful
that nanny was able to see out her days in such wonderful surroundings. Many thanks to Hill House and all their staff.

My wife suffered from Alzheimers Dementia for 9 years and spent the last 5 weeks of her life in this excellent Nursing Home. Every member of the Management and staff of this excellent establishment treated her with the utmost care and dignity, and I know she appreciated the care she was given, by the

During her stay at Hill House, my mother was looked after extremely well. The staff were so kind and caring and made every effort to make her stay as comfortable as they could. Facilities were excellent, activities were provided and mother was encouraged to participate. The only downside was the food
was not always to mother liking. The lunch I had was excellent and included wine. I have recommended Hill House to friends.

I visited many care homes before choosing Hill House Care Home. As soon as I went in there, I knew it was the one. There is a lovely atmosphere - very warm and friendly. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. I can't thank them enough for the way they look after my husband. I also think the activities
