Lansdowne Care Centre is located in a residential area near the centre of Cricklewood. There are shops near by and local amenities, public transport and road links are convenient.

This purpose built care home provides nursing and social care for older people who are physically frail and older people who have mental health needs such as Alzheimer's disease.

Accommodation at Lansdowne is provided in en-suite single occupancy rooms. The home provides TV lounges and a quiet sitting room to relax. Meals are served in the separate dining rooms provided and residents can select from the daily choices provided. Traditional home cooked food using local produce is served.

Lansdowne has regular visits from an optician, dentist, qualified chiropodist and hair stylist.

A varied programme of activities is provided.

My mother has been extremely well looked after from the moment she arrived. The staff are kind and caring and very sweet with her and she enjoys the food. We are always made to feel very welcome when we visit. We have absolutely no complaints - just praise for the way my mother is treated.

I visited my mother-in-law when my wife was away. The biggest impression I had was how attentive the staff are in making sure she is comfortable. Always clean bedding. I was very pleased to see that the staff had made an effort to get her out of bed and into an armchair. This is excellent care.

My cousin's welcome was very good to Lansdown both from the Manager and Staff Team, and communication with his loved ones was enough for satisfaction that my cousin would be well looked after. The expectations we had have been fulfilled. In a busy nursing home, the staff and nursing team work hard to
fulfil all their resident's needs. The home is whilst clean, feels slightly in need of a facelift and this I suppose comes down to budget. Residents feel confined to their rooms probably down to their medical needs and there seems no interaction between them, but I do commend and applaud the effort made by the Entertainment Manager to allow us to create an 80th birthday party with 25 guests recently. My cousin was thrilled with the occasion. I just feel he needs that interaction every week.

Very pleased with the care my father receives. The nurses are very caring and friendly and are always pleased to see me. Everyone is so busy but still smile. I feel confident that my father is in good hands when I leave after my visits. The home is always clean and comfortable.

It has been a truly amazing experience to see my brother-in-law enjoying all the activities that the care home has been doing. My mother moved to Lansdown four months ago to be near to myself and her daughter. The transition from her previous care home was handled very well particular as it followed closely the death of her husband. Lansdown has treated my mother well and she seems very happy, eats and drinks and participates
in activities. Living in a care home can never be the same as being at home we are content with her situation.

Geoffrey Odur

Job Title: Home Manager

Geoffrey began his career in the Health and Social Care sector in 2005. He has gained a plethora of knowledge through his roles as a Support Worker, Activities Officer, Residential Care Manager and now Home Manager. He has his level 4 in Leadership and Management as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Geoffrey was awarded the Margaret Butterworth Award in 2011 for all of his work and achievements. He prides himself on building strong relationships with families and friends of residents, involving them in the care of their loved ones.


Outside of work, Geoffrey loves running marathons, listening to music and watching sports such as Formula 1 and athletics.
